I love the recipe. I subscribed to your channel. It took many attempts to cookmin the Ninja Speedi, but once I got to know the Speedi is my go-to. Getting that rice cooked well took several attempts. Love your presentation.

When I cook rice in the ninja speedy, I use 2 cups of water for every cup of rice. And when you have it on the Steam and crisp, it also crisp up your rice. I would have removed the rice and then. Just cook the chicken by itself on the second batch.

I love the Speedi! I was shown that for every cup of water, you need to double the water. One cup rice, two cups of water.

Yes, I use Uncle Ben's white rice, and it takes 15 minutes, at the 10-minute mark I check on it to see if I need to add any more water. Most cases I need a splash more water. I do one part rice and two parts water.

You jest need to do the rice less time, put the rice in after the first batch of chicken is done. In the ninja special meals it gives you the amount of water needed for weight of rice or pasta, and it’s a good guide to follow. With the pasta I put the water in as required on the special menu list, then add a pasta sauce, and it comes out lovely. If your left with too much liquid just pop you switch to sear and sauté and fry for a few minutes to get rid of it.

If you keep open and close the lid while the rice is cooking,u will lose the steam which is essential for rice cooking, that will make the rice very dry and doesn’t taste good .:)

Why not wait and put your rice in with the second batch of chicken that way it will hot and ready to eat all at the same time without being over cooked, it does look very good though, thank you. 😋

Yes… I was wondering if you were gonna add water & steam. It works every time. Of course, removing the rice after the first batch of chicken would have worked as well but great recipe & wonderful save on the rice. I am making this for us this week.
