Ranking EVERY Type of Sugar

- More Food Science! What other ingredient swaps should I try?? I wanted to try all of these sugars in a 1:1 replacement to see which one tasted the best and was easiest to use!
Any time you use a replacement ingredient it almost always needs tweaking (changing the ammount), but this is to test which replacement sugar is EASIEST to use in the exact same way as regular sugar.

I hope you enjoy today's #Tutorial #Testing #cookies video! We tried TWELVE different Flours to see which one is the best for replacement baking!
xoxo Ro - Хобби
Hope you enjoy the new video! What are you doing this weekend???
Baking for sure ❤
I know I will❤and I had a great weekend, and I went to the pool with my friends yesterday how is❤ your weekend going?
Hello! I love your videos!❤ I bet this one will be the best!
Hi I watched your dhar Mann video and I loved it
@@elinacesarz9792sameee
This was SO much fun Ro!! I don’t think I’ve ever eaten more cookies in a single day and I’m definitely not mad about it… thanks for having me!!❤ 🍪
You're the Best Sam! Please reply and hearth Ro!❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
You were amazing! We need to see you on Ro's channel more ❤
Ro's dislike of stevia had me laughing! When she said "I'd rather eat grass!" I lost it😂😂😂😂
I feel the exact same way. Whenever my mom forces me to cook with it, my baking never turns out good and I despise the taste. I would also rather eat grass.
@@IXScasualty why
@@IXScasualty one mistake many people seem to do is adding to much and then te concistency and taste is HORRIBLE. As processed stevia is about 250-30 times sweeter than sugar you are only suposed to add a teaspoon (if that) per cup.
I never knew there was multiple types of sugarss other than granulated sugar and brown sugar😂
There are so many!
My brain just gained a new brain cell😆
@@RosannaPansinoand i love them all!😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
I go to a spice and tea store they have all types of sugars I’ve tried pineapple and coconut. Next I’m trying honey
Raw sugar and icing sugar too and yea there the only sugars I knew off
Ro I really want to see you, Molly, and Greyson bake a cake together. I think that would just be an amazing video. Thank you for making my weekend better. What are you doing this weekend? Have a great weekend also!!! 💜
Yep that would be nice
Ro is the definition of Cooking Mama, I swear I love her 😭❤️❤️
I had a feeling that the honey would spread out like that. I think if the ratios were a bit different, honey could work though.
I certainly learned a lot about 1:1 substitutions here! Thanks for the insight, great comparisons and saving me time AND money on testing out sugar alternatives. I'll have to give coconut sugar a shot sometime soon! 😊.
Side note: Not that it matters but wanted to mention that in the description towards the bottom, it says "We tried TWELVE different Flours..." I'm sure this was just a quick copy/paste oversight. Happy baking!
Amazing video Ro! I really like these videos where you try baking with 10 different types of a certain ingredient like flour and sugar! Teaches a lot about baking. Great video! 😊😄
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@RosannaPansinoyou're the Best girl!❤❤❤❤❤
Ro I would super appreciate if you made a video where you tweak the recipes for sugar substitutes like the monkfruit and figure out the amounts and bake times that work best to make a good cookie. I've been trying to make good sugar free cookies for my diabetic husband forever and they're never quite how I want them. And maybe they never will be because it's just not possible, but I'd love to see what you could do!
I would love to see that too!
I´m sure you know this, but if you don´t : if you are going to use Stevia as your sweetener and it´s the processes white powder only use 1 tesp per cup or else it´s going to taste horrible as stevia is about 250-300 times sweeter than sugar.
@@hypnotherapy69 that's good to know! I did know it wasn't 1:1 but I wasn't sure of an exact ratio and the struggle to get the texture correct is Real 😆
I would love an egg substitute cookie video!
Yayyyyy!! Welcome back Sam, it’s great to see you two collaborating again!!!!! I’ve missed this duo!!!!😊 can’t wait for more videos with Sam in the future!! You both have a great weekend!!! 🌻🩷🏡
He is the best!
@@RosannaPansinoHe really is!😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤!!!
I’d love to see an episode tweaking the sugar free recipes to actually be good. I can’t have sugar and as of yet haven’t found a good cookie recipe
I have diabetic family members so yeah, that would be great because I don't often bake for not torturing my family members with the smell
She did say monk fruit sweetener is a good replacement. It’s not a sugar so it would be good for you.
When baking with sugar replacements I've found if you use a little bit of several kinds of sugars they taste better because no one sugar replacement after taste is strong enough to over power the cookie taste.
@@AndySaenz I haven’t baked much with that one yet, it makes great cinnamon toast though!
@@boymom-nz.2 that’s a great tip thank you!
I love how this video is entertaining but also educational in a way cause I had no idea there were different sugars!!
Interesting experiment & results. However, when you use sugar substitutes (maybe the honey as well), it's not a 1-1 ratio, as they're typically sweeter than sugar, so you use quite a bit less (I understand 1-1 is what you did here, but js maybe that's why they failed). Another reason for failure is the way you incorporate the sugars are different as well, depending on what you use. As for the powdered sugar, you'd probably want to use more, since it's so fine. This does go to show that you need to adjust the recipe (both amounts & techniques) when you are making substitutions.
Hey Ro, I have a special request. Can you please post more videos that are dairy free? I’m lactose intolerant like your sister Molly is and I wanted to see how much variety of dairy free foods there can be. I love your videos and I would love to be able to cook more food that is tailored to my needs!
I have ever only seen granulated sugar and brown sugar! You are so smart and amazing!❤
Hey ro! Love youre vids. Thanks for always setting a smile on out faces😁 thanks for petting so much effort in youre videos 😁
Yall make the perfect baking team! I love it! ❤
You are such a talented baker Ro! Love your videos! ❤❤❤
You really should try browning your butter for chocolate chip cookies. It makes the best flavor for chocolate chip cookies ever!
I’m re-watching nailed it rn so I forgot what each episode was about and when I saw you I literally screamed from joy!!
You are literally the best and I love you so much!!!!😊❤
I Love They're We Tested Every Type wity Sugar and collab with Sam Tsui and thank you, Ro 💙😍💕
As someone who loves spreading butter and honey on sweet bun slices, that honey-butter mix looks heavenly!
Hi Rosanna. Thank you for this interesting video. I’m a type 1 diabetic and do regularly baking and occasionally keto baking. The trick to using monk fruit is to follow a keto recipe as if you have to much it can be very grainy and taste awful. It’s a fantastic product because I can still enjoy a treat without my sugars going high. You can also get sugar free chocolate basically there a lot of products that don’t have sugar. I would love to see some gluten free recipes as I’m also a coeliac that would be awesome. ❤❤❤❤
I love your videos Ro❤
It just makes my day
Thanks ❤❤
I LOVED THIS VID, You put a smile on my face every Saturday!!! Your as sweet as sugar❤❤
My favorite kind of sugar is the unrefined brown sugar! It has a lot more molasses so theres alot more moisture and chewiness to the inside of the cookie, but the outside stays crispy and almost caramelized!
I like these videos it's good to know what other sugars can be used .
I’m so exited for this collab!!
YES another vid I am SOO EXITED❤❤❤
Now that we have a sugar replacement, I’d love to see Ro make cookies with both the coconut sugar and her best flour replacement, oat flour. I’m really curious how that would turn out.
Omg i love your hair Ro!
1:39 OMG! THAT MELTED MY HEARTH! YOU ARE ALL SO SWEET AND WHOLESOME!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I love ur channel and always watch ur vids
Every week
Looks good! Thank you.
This was so fun to watch! Try some replacements for butter
I live for coconut sugar, it changed my life. I love how it's not too sweet, and the taste is awesome. I only use this now
yayy my day just got better thank you so much ro cant you agree
Oh my gosh! You should have tried corn syrup: the most popular sugar replacement in processed foods 😂
Early for the queen Rosanna!! ❤❤❤
Can you do more of these videos? I find them so interesting! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!
Hi ro i love youre vids! You have inspired me to get in the kitchen!❤
Hi, I loved the video and maybe if you do another one of these you could try butter replacements. But, I love your videos in general. ❤😊
it’s been a minute since I’ve watched one of your videos, and I’ve never seen you with all dark hair. It’s a complete difference!
RO YOURE THE QUEEN! ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF ALL TIME!👸👸👸👸👸👸👸👸❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
RO THE HAIR LOOKS AMAZING AHHH
THE ONE, THE ONLY, MY QUEEN, ROSANNA PANSINO 👑💕

So true
it doesn’t matter what Ro is doing she always makes me laugh❤
Please more of these ingredient swap videos!
this vid was awsome!can you do a video where the dogs pick a date for you and mike?that would be fun to watch!🧡
I love mixing honey and butter. For breakfast on a toast. Or just bread with some tmTurkish chease ❤
the thing with Monkfruit sweetener is that most labelled that way are 99% Erythritol and 1% Monkfruit. Really they have some nerve calling it Monkfruit sweetener. But I suppose Erythritol with a tiny dash of Monkfruit, might be a little to wordy for a label.
I love how ur style has changed with ur hair color ❤
Omg Rosanna!!! You look beautyful ❤
Food science is so cool....😍
Lavender Monk fruit brownies? 😋 I'm gonna have to try that, I love lavender brownies.. and I think it would go lovely with a cooling feel lol. Mint adjacent
I use bread flour when making my choc chip cookies. And both white sugar and brown sugar. Just made some this morning
I love ur hair Ro
I learn a lot from your videos and you should try jaggery in a chocolate chip cookie recipe. It's unrefined sugar.
I never knew that there was multiple types of sugarss other than granulated sugar and Brown sugar as well so thank you Rosanna for another very interesting video as always your videos never disappoint us all and i would like to take the time out to appreciate all the hard work that you put into making all these awesome videos as well you are a absolutely fantastic person with a heart of gold 💛 so thank you for all your awesome videos....👍🏼👍🏻👍🏼👍🏻👏👏👏👏🙏💯💕💟🕊️🕊️
I studied food science , one of our labs was basically try different sugar substitutes 😅 it’s interesting
I love it when Ro has guests on her videos! Sam is so cool & talented! Chocolate chip cookies are so yummy :D
Love ur content! I've been watching since 2015!
I saw a video of how Maple Syrup sugar is made and it's so cool.
Moulded maple sugar candies are the best thing on the planet lol theyre often in maple leaf shape and they just melt in your mouth mmmmm you can also buy a solid block of maple sugar that you would grate down with like a cheese grater
Heyy love your videos🫶😍
Hey Ro
I love your vids so much ❤️ I was wondering if there are any updates on Mo’s new home that you got her can you make a video about it 🥰
Ro should totally start her own restaurant i would love to try her food!!❤
11:16 What a sticky sitation 😂😂😂😂😂
Ill be here all week people😅😅😅😅😅😅😮
Hey Ro! Love the video! I was curious how agave syrup or golden syrup would work. It's liquid like honey, but would it behave differently due to it being processed?
so fun to see you with sam; i followed him back in the days where he was makin music with kurt. still have his songs on my spotify. = D so fun to see you 2 togheter
I’ve enjoyed these video they are so fun! I would love to see Ro come back and tweak the recipes of some of the middle ones to see if she can make it taste better!
Consider trying Palmyra palm sugar, renowned for its low glycemic index and exceptional nutritional value as a natural unrefined sweetener derived from the sap of Palmyra palm flowers. Hand-harvested at 80 feet above the ground twice daily, this sugar undergoes minimal processing. The tree takes 15 years to yield sap and can live up to a century, showcasing remarkable sustainability. This rare sugar has been a staple in Southeast Asian culture for centuries.
Could you please add to the flour test: soy flour, rye flour and teff flour? I'm now curious what the sugar test will turn out. Thank you for testing alternative ingredients.
Who else thinks she should release a baking kit for beginners? I have been watching her for years but l could never find the right supplies. Ro, please read this and it would really help your beginner baker fans❤
How fun with Sam!! 😊
wohoo! i love ro! ❤
Until I watched this, I didn't even know that there were that many sugars 🤣
I love your new hair Ro ♡
Great video! I do love coconut sugar so I'll have to try it. Also no Agave sugar!??
We need this series with cake batter!!🍰
LOL Ro's entire accent went southern when she said 'Wet Sand" about the stevia . Love it
You should do different types of butter/oil next time! 🫶✌️
Love your videos! 😍
I also love to taste after creaming together the butter and sugar 😅
Just a heads up: Recent studies have shown that Erythritol can increase your chances of stroke and heart attack, and Monkfruit sweetener is also almost always blended with Erythritol when it's sold, so be mindful.

MMM
I CERTAINLY CAN TRY
My husband is not supposed to have sugar so we use monk fruit sweetener all the time and even though it does taste different and can upset the tummy, it’s a great alternative to regular sugar. They also have sugar free chocolate chips that you almost can’t tell are sugar free.
Next you should test out different egg substitutes in a cake!
I love it 😻
How does Ro not know about sugar free choco chips😮they are everywhere
You two should keep doing this, finding the best replacement for each ingredient and then combine all of the best replacements into one cookie and see how it tastes.
I use Stevia in my coffee and tea. Never tried to bake with it.
And then just for laughs combine all the worst ones (not the stevia one though cause that's banned lmao) just to see how bad the cookie will turn out lmao 🤣
This video will be SO sweet! Just like you ro! Love ya!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yum I love cookies!
Ro should do the Google translate baking challenge!
Dairy substitutes and egg substitutes next?
this was way cool to see. Good to know i could make powdersurgar cookies lol
Careful with erythritol. Some concerning studies connecting it to increased risk of cardiovascular events like heart attack and stroke. Of course this is for people that use it exclusively, as the sugar replacement, so they eat more significant amounts of it every day than an average person would eat here and there. Still, definitely do not overuse erythritol as a sweetener!
Also...there's a good chance it'll give you diarrhea.
there's dextrose, fructose, grape sugar, splenda, mannitol, xylitol (golden sugar), sorbitol, maltitol, demerara sugar, inulin, chicory, agave, rice syrup, allulose, molasses, yacon syrup, and more. I've tried all except for allulose. Coconut sugar is still my favorite :)
Love love the hair Ro !! Keep it that color. It brings out your complexion and your eyes.
