Nice!.. I got this kit the other day... the reason I got it was because HMS Eagle visited NZ in the early 70's and had these Buccaneer planes so it left an impression on me... thanks from NZ!👍🇳🇿
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Airfix should be sponsoring you for showing off their new tooling kits to such good effect. Fantastic work as always, Newbies and beginners like me get so many hints and tips form your builds so, The builds aren't just fun to watch, They really help us to up our game too. Now to add new kits to my stash...
Thank you very much. I'm proud to to have your shirt and to call you my friend. It was my daughter who ordered the shirt and mug for me, she knows how much I love your channel and how much I enjoy your videos.
Great job, I worked on this aircraft number 021 which was part of 809 squadron, which served onboard HMS ARK ROYAL in the late 1960'’s early 70,’s… You have it looking like the real thing with the Phoenix ( 809 squadron crest ). Great Memories…. Thanks..
Yep. Those paints don’t have those warnings on the label for their health, it’s for the end users (you & the rest of us). You can still get the right angle when you use that spray booth. Just leave the front left vertical panel down. That way you get the benefit of the booth filtering the particulates and the camera still has a decent enough view of the work. Also, if you add an activated charcoal or HEPA filter to the exhaust tube, that will take care of the fumes and you won’t even have to open a window, because those blue filters are only particulate filters. Pretty cool build. Turned really good. 👍👍 Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Hi Alex, I have both French and English versions of the instructions the French say red interior and the English a very pale green. I have been in contact with Daniel about the detail set, landed in Thailand it is very dear, but I will still purchase it. I am waiting on detail parts for the Hood, I am following Aussie Trekkies build. Thanks for the excellent videos, I’ve been binge watching.
Alex: The old wisdom said: "The secret is not to run after the butterflies, the secret is to create a garden for them to come to you." You are a garden builder, let the "runners" get tired without anything. Great build and finish, as EVER.
Oh, I have that same paint booth too! I don't have windows in my paint area, so I have this ducted into a vapour trap and wear a good 3M vapour mask. Nice build and great video as always!
I made it in the RN blue colors about 59 years ago. The Buccaneer had the air shape to fly closer to the speed of sound and in exercises and restricted to less than the speed of sound would usually be the first on target. (Take that F4s). It also had the rolling bomb bay doors so it could snap open, deliver weapons and snap close extremely fast and help lower radar signal. The original let you swing the nose to one side. With wings up, tail open and nose open it would just fit down the elevators. I loved the shape and still do. Well done. Now I have to find one!!
Hi Alex, thanks for bringing back the memories of my fathers service with the Buccs albeit RAF with 12Sqn. Stella work as always. Peace and best wishes from New Zealand as always.
If your mojo was low i would love to see what you can build when it's high. Your build outrageously beautiful keep on building and making your videos.Thank you my friend.
A really beaut build, Alex. You have such a knack of pulling together any kit, your way, and making a great fist of it. Intrigued with what's in store for the Buccaneer......will look forward to that!
Алекс, привет из России. Отличный получился самолёт, великолепная покраска, хороший везеринг. Видимо некоторая стыковка и шпаклёвка тебя немного достали, но скотч помог😀... Удачи и отличных моделей впереди!!!
If you’d like to read up on the Banana Jet, Haynes do a fantastic workshop manual detailing the design, development and service life of the Buccaneer. Highly recommend it. As for this Kit, what a lovely job you did. I will certainly save this video for reference for when I get round to building my one
Fantastic work Alex. I totally agree about your views on Coppa. As I understand it, you can only be fined if you live in the USA but they could get RUclips to remove your channel. I've marked mine not for children. Even my 12 year old said these aren't aimed at kids but then he's not into modelling despite my best efforts.
Such attention to detail. What a masterful video! I could see this is a passion project for you. While other channels try to cram as many ads as they can in, like every 3-4 minutes, I was happily surprised to watch this long 40min+ video without any pop-up ads. Kudos and thank you 😍
What a beautiful model! Good fit, and good engenering too, and an impressive modelling skills. Thanks to you Alex, for this excellent work and video 👌👌👌. The only thing that I can say Is: "Máster Modeller, I Salute you". Greetings from Guatemala, the Land of Quetzal Bird, simbol of Freedom.
My father worked on those , mainly fabricating and repairing the speed brakes at the rear of the tailplane at Brough ( Hawker Siddley Aviation.. now BAE SYSTEMS) .. fantastic aircraft ...
Beautiful montage ... congratulations. I suggest assembling the Mirage IIIE 1/48 Kinetic kit, as it is complicated to assemble ... there are difficult parts, especially the air intake inlet part in the cannon area.
You have built a beautiful model. This is one which I am working on at the moment. The fit around the jet exhausts is bad on mine too. Otherwise a great kit.
Still waiting for 1/48 Buccaneer :( Cool build mate, however I think you should've give it extra sanding for the rivet edges, which have some plastic pushed out. But I believe it's not visible, brearing in mind that this is 1/72 and it's just a drawback of using macro :)
Alex a really great build I can remember making this kit by Airfix more than 50 years ago now and it seems like yesterday... You made a far better job of yours than I did. Where did you get your tweezers from I am looking for a good pair? Lovely to see you modelling again it is always a pleasure. Mike Harris
The airbrushed are very nice looking and for the price but the one draw back would be the price of shipping would be twice the price of the airbrush , Obrigado Alex
Wish I could get a few for free, tamiya 1/24 Porsche boxter special edition, has to be special edition becuz the opinional hardtop unless there’s others with opinional hardtop be nice to get one with opening trunk and hood the kit I listed doesn’t have that

as you can see it comes with an 'Eagle' option

Thanks so much! just having fun with a smile... and no sponsorship!:)
Modelling with a smile, I'd be beaming if I was half as good as this. Outstanding.
You are Norman! You ARE!:):)
