Had my X type for over 10 yrs . Still love it as much as the first day i drove it 🤔 can’t imagine life without it . Must say this one is as nearly as clean as mine lol Lovely motor 👍
10 years that's awesome, I hope I can keep mine going that long. I know I can't drive her for all that time if I want to preserve her better. And if I sold her I know I wouldn't get another like it again.

Am painting under the car soon to preserve it . The X types are disappearing fast of the roads . Probably down to you ulez If you want a parts car now is definitely the time to buy . As they aren’t worth an awful lot now 🤔 My one is probably only worth about £1200 if I’m lucky . She is mint like yours . Still I know it’s not worth an awful lot but i wouldn’t swap it for nothing its my pride n joy . About six years ago i had the opportunity to swap it for xj that was my dream car . But not anymore totally addicted to my xtype probably because most don’t really like it . People say it’s a Ford Mondeo lol But I’m a massive fan of ford so definitely got the best of both worlds 😉👍 Your car is a proper Mint if I was in a position to ide poot it into Storage . In another ten years that car will look so cool 😎
I think they are incredibly under rated cars and if I can showcase them in a different light I will...they really do stand up to the Grace, Space and Pace design. Thanks for checking out the video.

In Germany the prices for both cars, when in good condition and shape, begin to grow since the last year. They started to become classic cars here and are very rare and a head turner.

You can get a lot of car for not much money if you are lucky, I was talking to someone who bought one for £800, 4 years ago and has just only just spent another £800 for its MOT last week...which is pretty good going, I would say.
Im currently on my second xf. Recently the battery went on it and I borrowed my dad's x type . Somehow I prefer driving the x type it's more comfy and less cramped in the driver's seat. It seems bigger and less claustrophobic inside .
owning the X-Type is my only experience in the Jaguar world, which i love so far. i have heard owners that have bought newer versions of Jags in the form of the XE/XF have said they preferred the cockpit of the X-Type...i'm sure they have some awesome upgrades and benefits, if i have to move on from the X-Type at any point i would turn my attention to the XE/XF models.
@@rkphotography557 I think part of the enjoyment of the XF is how big or small person the driver is. I'm 6ft1 and 90kg and find the x type has more legroom and seems bigger in the drivers position. The seats are squarer and more supportive in thr x type. The XF is more " cockpit like" and you feel more hemmed in. I guess it depends on how big a person you are and if you prefer the snug fit of the XF or a more looser X type .
Very nice car, I have the same 2,5 litre model in Topaz color. Mine is not this good looking though because of an accident that happened where a cement mixer fell over and hit the front of my car. Ruining all of the clips on my front bumber and scratching my hood and side of my car. This happened when my car was parked so it was not my fault :( The car still runs without any issues for 2 years now so it is reliable.
@@rkphotography557 Haha, if it was a massive truck the entire car would probably be completely flat. The good thing was that there was no cement mix inside the mixer. But the weight of the mixer alone was enough to damage the car quite a bit but it is still perfectly fine to drive :)
@@RobinCool1998 from what I understand you need the ST Hanger to hold the caliper and the bigger disc just fits on together nicely, I think you need to be running a 18" rim though.

Other than some lighting mods not to much, it as the jaguar XS body kit that came with a sports model, it has a stainless steel custom exhaust, which I would like rebuilt not quiet enough growl from her. Headlights are rebuilt and redesign by X-Lyte a jaguar headlight builder.
they have have a deeper growl with modified exhaust systems as well, which i like. the 2.1 is a bit under-powered like you say and has the thirst of V6 as well, although its AWD it just be lighter than my 2.5, i have been having issues with the rear drive shafts and ABS sensors on the rear, which lately i'm wishing it was just front wheel drive like the 2.1, for all her faults at the moment i still love her.
@@rkphotography557 Cheers! 2.1 is really very thirsty for such volume, because it is based on the same block as 2.5 and 3.0 (weight and losses are the same). FWD enjoys really less transmission losses than AWD. As for the rear ABS sensors, FWD also suffers such issues. I also wish my X-type were 2.5 or 3.0 with front wheel drive. It is so obvious that it is the best option, that could beat mers and bmw both on motorways and in sales. But Jag preferred bankruptcy.

Bought a sovereign diesel X-Type 3 months ago for £600, can't believe how brilliant a car it is!

At the front it is the Ford Focus ST225 brakes kit. Just a straight swap in terms of the caliper, discs and hanger.
Oh wait.. are you telling that it is a bolt on kind of thing? If so..
