Remember being in high school and watching this for the first time.. we had watched all our dvds and we snuck into my friends dad collection and grabbed a random movie along with his bottle of tequila. We snuck out to the RV and watched it and complained but around 30 mins in we were quiet and drinking and smoking 😂 one of my favorite movies of all time now. Miss you buddy.
This is absolutely one of the top three scenes in all of film, and Bogie and Bergman still send shivers down your spine. Anyone who disagrees is on Strasser's side. ;)
came to hear Humphrey Bogart tell Ingid Bergman “we’ll always have Paris”. smiled to hear Claude Rains smirk, “i’m afraid major strayssa would insist”. Casablanca is a work of film genius and is endlessly and delightfully quotable, entertaining, and revered. (i Unapologetically cannot relate to anyone who doesn't see the obvious truth of this observation.) 😅
Pink Floyd's "Yet Another Movie" always plays in my mind when i see this scene. hearing that David Gilmour guitar playing sounds awesome right about now
Ok so my friend and I used to share the line 'we'll always have Paris' sometimes (sub 'Paris' for 'Shanghai'), and I just thought it was a cute thing we used to do. Anyway, i'm watching iZombie (S.4 E.4) and they use the line, and I'm like, hang on, I didn't realise that was a thing. So I look it up because friend loves movies and literature, and he's most certainly the guy to slip a subtle classic movie line into every day conversation. So here I am, sitting in front of my laptop at 11.45 on a Wednesday evening, having a cheeky tear because of fucking course it's from Casablanca. Why not. Good one mate
So what becomes of Sam ? (given that Rick seems to be "eloping" with Reynauld at the end ....which does seem a little strange given everything that has gone before ....)
They’d probably arrange for a message to be sent to Sam telling him the plan. As for Reynauld, he chooses a side at the end of the movie by not arresting Rick for killing Strasser. He’s choosing to side with the allies and join the Free French.
Anyone who is interested in reading the screenplay for the new movie [The Fight for Love and Glory] which begins as Casablanca ends go to creativescreenplays.com
Makes me so sad to see this scene. It reminds me of the way America used to be before the soulless globalist elites and the evil forces of Cultural Marxism destroyed it.
“I said I would never leave you.”
“And you never will.”
The film’s most underrated quote.

I'll be watching the film @home, and reminiscing- about my little Snookie...R.I.P., my love, my life, my all.. We'll always have Cambridge.
Rick Blaine is one of my favorite movie characters ever.
"What's your nationality?"
"I'm a drunkard."
I'm here after the Paris 2024 Olympics; we'll always have Paris.

See Casablanca yourself and you won't even ask.

SNL brought me here :-) And I cannot watch this scene and not laugh.
Lafko Congrats to SNL. Fucking up great American history one stupid episode at a time!
Apparently women did all the acting back then while he just recites his lines.
you should actually watch the movie
