- We are traveling again and our flights have a long layover in Houston, Texas! This was our opportunity to explore the city and eat some famous Texas BBQ! The city of Houston is quiet and very walkable with many parks and monuments. We walked the Buffalo Bayou Walk and visited the Gerald Hines Park. The highlight of our trip was definitely the Texas BBQ though! We do feel like we need another trip to Houston Texas, and perhaps visit Austin as well! We also detail our future travel plans and it's on an entirely different continent.

I think explaining the history (even a small portion) of the place is vital to telling a story through video! Would love to see what your version of a travel day looks like!
Good to hear! We definitely agree. We did actually film a travel day, so that video is coming up!
Love it and welcome to Texas!! Houston is amazing and you def need to visit Austin too! Austin has so many hidden gem scenic/nature places along with the city life.
Thank you! We were definitely impressed with Houston, and would love to explore more cities in Texas!
Hello fellow Austinite!
The best American city EVER-H-town!!! I love living here and wish I could had met you two. Plus Houston is very international and home of medical care, research, etc. Love this video!!! 🤠🍗🥩
We really liked Houston! We want to visit the other cities in Texas too. Seems like a great place to live! 😁
@@DennyandNikki it’s a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Great jobs, especially in medicine, education and oil/gas/engineering. Affordable housing too!! Each Texas city has a different vibe. You guys would LOVE Austin. 🤠
Hi…Danny and Nikki..love your video. From Bay Area San Francisco
Thanks! We love San Francisco!
we want to go explore we hear it is a cool city also the food looks so good
We would love to spend some more time in the city!
I lived in Houston for about 5 years and didn't know about the parks 🤭 My experienced in Houston was: you can live like a rich person without being rich😅. My house was huge and we paid very lil compared to what I pay in South Florida now and there are nice jobs around. Food is good too. Also when I lived there winter was cold, didn't feel like spring to me and went there from Virginia. Guess things are changing now🤔😁 great video.
I think we were there with some unusually warm weather, because that next week it was much colder! We definitely like Houston, and will be back! :)
Nice! I’m born and raised up a couple hours away from Houston and yeah summers are miserable lol I’m glad y’all saw a teeny tiny bit of the city, it’s super multi-cultural and there’s endless things to do. Also, I haven’t kept up with the channel lately but I didn’t know Nikki was European she has an American accent so I just assumed she was American. May I ask where you’re from?
I know we have a lot more of Houston to explore. Nikki is from The Netherlands :)
❤️ ur videos new sub 🇬🇧
Glad you like our videos!!
More research needs to be done on high-rises and air condition in Houston because that wasn't keeping many high rises from being built. After 1929, there was also the Depression. Also, Houston doesn't keep so much of the old in ways and will just build new for the Downtown to have a modern, but basically an older modern(late 20th century on western side of Downtown) look depending on what part of Downtown you're looking at. Newer modern(21st century) is happening on northern side of Downtown. Also, summer doesn't have to be so bad.
Thanks for the info Chris! The downtown we visited looked quite modern but we’ll have to come back to Houston for a bit more exploration.
SO excited to see you guys go to Thailand, thats also such a dream destination for me!! i think the equal amount of food/history/recommendations/b-roll that yall usually have is awesome☺️ have you ever considered going to Singapore or any other countries in Asia?
It is so awesome to finally be in Thailand! We would definitely visit Singapore, or Malaysia, Vietnam. Whenever the first one opens up, we’ll be there 😁
Love the vid! But if you go back to texas, go to Austin and try some real BBQ like Franklins but the home of all Real Texas BBQ is Lockheart Tx with Blacks BBQ.
Edit: new Sub from College Station Tx
My city! LOL, we eat brisket With a fork
Hahaha!! I promise, Denny does normally eat with a fork 😁
@@DennyandNikki LOL, I am sure he does. Just messin' with you
Lol yeah as a fellow Texas just wanna say we eat it with a fork unless you’re starving and can’t be bothered to find a fork
Did you move from Hawaii
Yes, we are now doing a full-time year of travel
