🤩🤩✌💥☝👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Tip 1: Fieldguide.
If you open the fieldguide, the first tab shows you everyting on an island, the first number is the total amount of trees, flora, decomposer amount (mushrooms, you can grind those and add them to trees), animals and insects (bee sign) and sometimes you need to destroy cores (mostly in caves) and sick trees (red crooked ones). The second number shows you the amount that is minimum required to keep the environment 100% healthy. The second page shows you the available flora and possible insects. The third page shows you the available animals.
Tip 2: Take the items
Just take the loose rocks, branches, burnt logs (charcoal), plants and such you can find. You need it later on to craft stuff. And you need a lot.
Tip 3: Look at strange things
Sometimes you find loose rocks together (looks like a cross or an arrow), three wind stones which are in a circle together or some other clues, which lets you know where there is a chest burried. You can poke that location with your hoe/ kip thing.
Tip 4: Worms/ Birds
You can dig for worms with your hoe/ kip thing. You find those mostly around windstones and other stones. You can use them to restore islands with bad environment when there are insects required. That also counts for the blue and red beetles. You cannot collect birds from islands. You need to find an island where you need to repair a bird house. The bird house you can then copy with your sketch book and use to repair the environment on other islands (when you need animals).
Tip 5: Sails
You can place 2 types of sails. There is an option to place a basic sail (the first one you learn) and a bigger sail (same sail, but use option 3 when you place). With that last sail you can choose how high it must be and how large. Much better than the basic sail and gives you more speed (more wind catched).
Tip 6: Buildings
Buildings on island can be destroyed for materials. Also very handy to do to get enough materials.
Tip 7: Hardstone/ glasswort
Always collect the black rocks. The rocks give you hardstone and that is a resource which you need a lot of for construction. I have not found any seeds for glaswort yet. So if you find it on islands, just collect it.
Tip 8: Upgrade station frame / sharpening station
You use the upgrade station frame to place the sharpening station on it.There is no other way to place the sharpening station without the upgrade station frame.
You can place up to 3 stations on 1 upgrade station frame. The same like the campfire has 3 cooking stations.
Tip 9: Crop plots and plants/ compost bin
After you placed the crop plot (around 25:00) and planted the seed you forgot to water it. You can collect dirty water and water the crop plot by the basket in your inventory. The plant will grow faster that way. You do not need worms for your compost bin. Your sheep will shit (manure) and that you can put in your compost bin for soil. The soil you can use to make more crop plots.
Tip 10 (and last one for now): Go right
You can sail your island to the right off the map. Do that for a smoother experience. To the left (as far as I understood it) is a harder experience than to the right.
And keep up the good work. You are doing great so far.
I look forward to the next episode.
