@@itsatishay Thanks for telling. It was a confusion for me because my JEE Mains didn't go well, I got 25k rank in mains so I'd get mechanical in some good colleges with that rank that's why I just wanted to confirm.

As long as you can show your interest in SOP it should be fine. It will be a bit difficult as universities might prioritize students who have a CS background.
