JO, I really enjoyed the video. I am 62 years old and this is what I want to do also. Kids are grown, lost my husband to cancer a few years back, and I have no reason not to enjoy that kind of life. I have always got antsy every few years in a home or apt. I am kind of loner but I do like to socialize some and then return to my own comfortable place. I can fix up any space to suit me! I will be watching and I hope you do more videos!

Not saying she had cancer but some people’s hair just naturally turns that way when they get older. I used to dye my hair regularly, but liked my new colours so I left it. Peace out...

When I watched these 2 and thought to myself 'wow it would really enrich my kids lives to know these people' then it is truly profound. That was my minds way of revealing to me that I am witnessing open, shameless, fearless honesty and kindness from both sides and I really value this.

I know I should limit my remarks to the nomad existence this woman is living, her experiences on the road, or her equipment. But DAMN I just can't seem to get past how unbelievably attractive she is. And I don't just mean physically, because she is a truly beautiful woman. But her attitude regarding her life is also just perfect. The lack of frustration that she exhibits is wonderful. She admits to have a few difficulties, but she has overcome them and learned from each one. Wow - just wow. Thanks Bob for bringing Jo to our attention.

+Patrick Diesman. Oh please. Can you keep your drooling over-sexed comments to yourself. Your attitude is totally off-putting for women who are watching these videos to try and overcome their #1 fear when contemplating a life of travelling alone. See the first word on the title of this video? It's "Fearless". And the reason it's "Fearless" is because it is trying to give assurance to women like me and my friends who are also deciding whether a life like this is for us. Men like you and your uncontrolled urges are exactly what we fear we are going to encounter. Please have consideration for women that this video is aimed at ... women like us trying to decide what kind of men are out there if we take the plunge. Your attitude to the woman in this video is a total turn-off. Have respect and consideration for women and the obvious additional problems we must contemplate please. Thank you.

Young Lady and Bob, watch you tube to explain the FastGun tie downs. You can connect or disconnect all 4 corners in about 2 minutes. Being able to remove the camper and use the truck to run errands or explore areas without picking up camp is really nice. My wife and I remove and reinstall ours regularly when we travel and it’s one of the reasons that we bought a truck camper.
Black water tanks are simple to empty and maintain. They are easier to rinse out with 2 people but one can do it with out much trouble. It’s worth it to be able to use the toilet whenever you want to (in my opinion).

This is the first video I watched of yours and I truly enjoyed it. Your interviewing style is so warm and friendly. I love your story Jo of how you decided to get the camper and your setup and decorating is great. I'm no stranger to doing adventurous things as I moved here to Australia 10 years ago with just 2 suitcases. Now, in mid 50s and single again, I've decided this is what I want to do...move back to the US, buy a new home on wheels, and hit the road. Seeing other women doing this gives me the courage to go for it.

I'm wanting to be closer to my kids and grandkids and the rv lifestyle will suit that well. So yes, your video is the first one that came up! I am worried about the healthcare aspect of it. How do you manage health insurance on the road? I know I have it pretty good here with health care being no out of pocket cost here. I work in IT so some part time work would be idea on the road. :)

Terri Brooks Thank you, I'm glad you spoke up about that condescending crack at BigD Travels.
I know that it was important for me to have the experience and feeling of accomplishment that purchasing and living in my own house on my own land (purchased in mid-life) for 23+ years has given me. The fact that I'm over it now, does not mean that the hard work and time I spent to do that was somehow "sad" (quoting "Bliss"). During that time, I've been able to do many worthwhile things for others, as well as myself, because I have this property. Now, I'm ready for the next "book in the series." I'm able to look forward to that because my hunger for a house and land was satisfied. I'm an American - I have choices and opinions, AND I have the responsibility to respect those rights for others as well.

Its been nearly 3 years now since Jo and her dodge caught the you tube world’s attention as we were introduced to a very kind and gentle lady who had taken to the road on something of a soul searching journey. I can’t help but wonder how Ms Jo is doing today … Aside from the wonderful story about the Dodge and how it kinda came to be, I sensed another story concealed behind the soulful eyes and soft spoken voice that is Jo. Maybe a sadness … the kind that comes with loss. Most of us have known it from time to time and taking to the road to clear things out is a wonderful idea. Perhaps I should do the same. Take Care Ms. Jo. peace

Markus Patients - actually... I bought a rubber penis, that I place on my ......, so I can pee into a gallon jug.
cause girls bathrooms always have Long lines, waiting, and waiting, until you have an accident. Attach rubber penis, and it works good!

Wonderful heavy duty 4WD truck to go anywhere. Really nice space.
Remembering my Grandmother traveling with her brother & sis in law when they all 3 were in their 70s in a rig like this ! Grandmother had recovered from a serious stroke & wore a brace in her right leg. Had limited use of her right arm & hand. They traveled from Missouri to the BIG BEND Country in South Florida in Winter to camo there. These Country folks loved it !

Wow! That's amazing...three people! And your Grandmother must have been from some strong stock, thus you too, Carol. Right? 👍🏼

So far Joan's camper is my favorite, she's living in luxury compared to some of the other women that he's interviewed.
