My father was the sax player, Norm Ray. I grew up on Nashville Now. I even did a few Saturday Night Live type sketches to open the show!

In what was to be the show’s last year of existence, Nashville Now began it with a “Brought-To-You-By” with a description! In text language that would be ‘B2UBY!’ Then came the show itself.

I was around my daughter's age when I watched this. I remember this like it was yesterday! So hard to believe this show was on 30 years ago.

Cable TV came out in our area back in 1981 and remember watching Nashville Now back in the 80s great memories where families and friends can get together and listen to some of the stars of county music

Jerome Cabral : He went on to have his own show on RFD-TV and his own dinner theater show. His helper (not Ralph Emery), Steve Hall, died in 2018.

It was great family entertainment. Love the days of old before reality shows and gratuitous garbage filled all networks. The entire TNN lineup was enjoyable to watch. Miss those days!

Moving to Texas is probably what killed this show. They should have stayed in Nashville. It was good.
