Monochrome Productions develops games with monochrome graphics for various retro computers, but a colorized version was recently released for the Commodore 64. As I can see in the comments, you've already discovered it on my channel.
We finished the game recently too and from a technical point of view it is really perfect. Unfortunately, some bugs and playability spoil the fun (tested with the current version 2.0.1). Some of them even prevent you from progressing and completing a level, such as in level 4, where if you don't use the keys you found in time, you might lose one of them and thus be unable to open one of the doors. There is also an annoyance with the controls, which always perform unwanted double jumps when you hold down the fire button, after which you often lose a life. The resulting frustration spoiled the fun, especially towards the end of the game, where you need to be very precise in how you do the jumping sections. I would have liked a little more fine-tuning here.
Yes, the game still a few bugs (which could annoy those who bought the physical version). I reported two of them to the developer with version 2.0.1. However, I hardly had any issues with double jumps using my beloved Zipstik, and I found the controls easy to handle.
Not really, but you can skip directly from Level 1 to Level 4 to shorten things a bit. You can see it in the video at 07:21. If you fall into the hole here, you go straight to level 4.
This game looks incredible. Well done to the programmers!👏🏻
If there was a hall of fame for computer or video game music the Commodore 64 sound would get inducted 🤘🏽
Very nice looking and audible game! Congratulations to all authors!

Can you save the progression in this game?
