  • sogood.tv Heather went on vacation with her family to Barbados and met a lovely neighbor Margaret who taught her how to make scotch bonnet pepper sauce. An amazingly simple recipe that produces excellent results. Try it! Be careful, its hot!

    I fell for Bajan pepper sauce when I tried it in a Caribbean restaurant in London, England many years ago. I love your use of lots of garlic! I have to use coriander/cilantro because culantro/shado beni/bandanya is not available to me here in North Wales. The mustard makes this sauce especially great with fish, but it's good with just about everything!

    Fell in love with the pepper sauce while in Barbados. Brought a couple of bottles back home with me, was sad when I ran out.

    I love your work!
    Did you see, and note the kitchen, and the lack of the 'latest', 'greatest' kitchen toys from Williams Sanoma?
    I love that you are working to create these tips, and techniques! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, dont stop.
    everyone, remember, a few peppers, a coffee cup with vinegar, and a used jar with lid, can make an incredible gift, and lots of memories!!!
    From Santa Cruz California, all the best!

    It's super hot but also flavorful. Refrigerated, it lasts for months. Vinegar is the key.

    Can i use mustard seeds instead of the mustard cream

      Yes. Powdered mustard works too. Coleman's English mustard is best.

    The peppers are the same than habaneros???

    • @silvermediastudio
      @silvermediastudio 2 года назад

      Similar. Habanero has a little bitterness that scotch bonnet does not. Hard to even detect unless side by side. If you use habanero you can add a little sugar to offset.
