The Crimson key shows up a few times in this EP. But also. they mention " Its Too Close / its Too Late" though out the EP. But here at the end, "It's NEVER Too Close, it's Never Too late. There's always TIME."
The whole ep is amazing but I think this is my favorite song off it - probably in part because of the music video. Its just SO Spiritbox: artistic and beautiful and kind of unsettling. I wonder if the key that appears in the music video for Hurt You has any connection to the crimson key in the Fear of Fear ep, because I don't remember that key ever being explained (maybe I just missed it) Great reaction as always!
Spiritbox will be touring in Europe in January with Loathe and Architects. That will be so good! I would love to see that. If you haven't ever heard of Loathe, you should definitely check them out. They are heavy af and also melodic as any band I've ever heard. 'Gore' would be a good start for the heavy and 'Is it really you' would be a great start for the more melodic. I do wish more folks would give them a listen. So good!
I like the fear of being eternal which is mentioned and themed throughout this album. Fear that you’ll forever be in a loop and forever be held to past failures perhaps. There is slight change in perspective with this song as in perhaps you can break a certain cycle and there are lyrics in this song saying never too close never out of time where the other songs are the opposite. Great album and story telling. It was truly of piece of metal core art and I’m for it
Every song on the EP references each other (Ultraviolet references "Too Close/Too Late" in the line "never too close never too late" for example, others reference a void (The Void)), many references to the crimson key in Cellar Door/Jaded/ Ultraviolet, almost every song references the line "where I want to go". Musically this is stunning work but technically, it's absolutely mindblowing. Spiritbox are on a level musically and conceptually I've never seen before.

I think you might be on to something. Look at the dancers in this video circling Courtney... very similar to the ones in the Hurt You video.
