I found an M250R1 at a “lighting graveyard” and it was beat to hell. It was a 250w HPS wired at 208v. The original data sticker is still in there intact, and it was manu. In 1981. I bought a new GE S50 Ballast and sent it off to be restored. I also had a PCR installed, as it, like yours, did not come with one. When I got it back, I put a new GE Yellow 25 sticker on there, and now it looks like a NOS M250R1. Spraypainted and clear coated to look just like it would out of the box.
To IES members and lighting professionals: "fixtures" belong in bathrooms; "luminaires" are light sources, such as the M250A or Westinghouse OV-25 luminaires. The "lens" you refer to is a "refractor" assembly. Also for HPS operation, you must replace "like for like" such as a 4-kV pulse-start socket. Otherwise you risk some safety factors. This is not a "fixture."
I have my own now, unfortunately they are a little bit to big. I have two fixtures that were built for 150 watt, which is way too strong, so they were converted to 70 watt, with brand new components. Because they were meant for pretty strong lamps it does not have a refractor, just flat clear glass, and the fixtures are frankly, quite huge. A nice thing about that is that they is room for a lot, so if i were to want to convert it something else, i could. I may find a way to install a dimmer (if possble) or just put a very strong refractor over it.
Is the General Electric M250R1 street light fixture available for selling? Edit I would like to have type of street light fixture, because I like the look better with full cutoff lens.

Yes, you'd just have to disconnect any ballasting equipment first before using a household bulb.

How did you get a coated HPS bulb?.
I'm not sure if they are still made today but I got these out of a bunch of scrap fixtures.
