- A video of many firsts -- the first video recorded this year, the first video recorded in this new studio, and my first street light, the American Electric 150-Watts HPS (high pressure sodium) roadway light model 315 15S RH 120 R3 FG 4B. About 2 years ago I developed an interest in these varying HID lights, and now that they're starting to disappear, I'm left with no choice but to install them on my property in order to continue to enjoy them.

I love high pressure sodium lights I grew up with hps lights
Lovely street light! It will look outstanding outside!
That is a nice quiet studio! The only noise I can hear is the clicking from the camera and the hum of the ballast! Can’t wait to see more videos recorded in the studio!
I bought a 100w high pressure sodium lamp from Home Repo for my low-bay fixture, and the price was OUTRAGEOUS ($23.92)! I only bought it there because I didn't want to wait for one from eBay to arrive. (ordering it online would probably be a better choice.) Also, that puny little lamp looks absolutely ridiculous in such a badass fixture!
Good video on the street light I can't wait for the installation of this soon bro
Cool Video bro glad you got one can't wait to see the next part of this light video
Happy new year, Jordan!
Nice to see some streetlights, I love them too and have some low pressure sodium fixtures
Happy new year Jordan
Sweet! this particular model is somewhat common on the east coast. Be careful with the terminal block because those aluminum screws are prone to stripping.
hi random
The video quality has improved a bit with this new setup. Probably because of the lighting.
It has a flat lens because it's full cutoff
I like the high pressure sodium street lights. I grew up with them. I hate the LED street lights.
Me too.
The LED streetlights are blinding.
@@deanmccool213 and are just garbage
@@deanmccool213 I agree.
the LED street lights are ugly and look weird
Great video to start off the new year in the new studio. Do you have any interest in mercury vapor lights? I think that would make an interesting video, even if you just bought one fixture to examine and review. I love the green glow from those.
The 315 was discontinued about a year ago now so i suppose that's why you can't find any spec sheets. However, There are older catalogs you can find that will show the 315 series
is that light bulb still working?
The HPS lamp in it looks like a SON lamp maybe a SON-E as I do not know what lamps they use in the states
I think these have a slight resemblance of a schreder zx1
nice. nice.
OMG ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO AND ITS FROM AMERICA NOT CHINA. nice. nice.
Those remind me of the 115
It's very similar.
you dont have to box it up to pretend you bought it,, we all know you stole it off the street!
That would be illegal.
Lol xD
@@tall_dude1233 its only illegal if you get caught!
Actually no because in this day in age, LED is like, the main source of lighting for everything. You can't find ones with the orange light no more
Lol
