@@SuperHairOBSESSIONAmberJordan Rubber base and builder gel can both be applied over gel nail extensions; rubber base, has a flexible and medium-thick consistency, it can also be used on natural nails to promote growth by providing a strong foundation and preventing breakage. When applied to gel extensions, rubber base enhances adhesion and adds strength, while builder gel, which has a thicker and more rigid consistency, is used to shape and maintain the structure of the extensions. They have similarities but it just depends on what you are looking for! Rubber base is my Go- to for nails as of lately 😅💖 I use to only be an acrylic nail girlie lol. You’ll like rubber base girl! ✨
I really want to start doing gel press ons as well but I used to be an only acrylic girly, are gel nails stable like them? Or still sound like plastic when they tap on things?
I use to be an all acrylic girlie too!! For me to vouch for Gel X really says a lot lol 😂💖 But honestly I love gel x for so many reasons! When I had my son I really wanted to still work on my craft, but without the hassle of ventilation required for acrylic use… when I discovered Gel X I was amazed at how you can create beautiful nails with little to no smell!! I also love how durable our formula is 🙌🏽 The set I recently did has lasted a month so far - even after moving into a new home! So I can definitely say it worth it! ✨
These are cute!! I recently did a press on set for myself using similar products and after I was done it was shrunk and couldn’t fit my nail anymore…did you have this problem & do you know a way to prevent that shrinkage from happening?
@@placid.hippie Hey thanks for your comment! I have never had that problem actually! I’d say make sure when you are sizing your nail tips that they fit properly from side wall to side wall. Other than that you could also select a slightly larger size for your nails and file the edges to your liking after you’ve finished. Hope this helps!
i wanna know how to apply them? cuz you can’t just use regular gel glue because the nails aren’t clear so it won’t cure. but then if you use regular nail glue does it stay cuz the nail has an apex to it and my nails are pretty flat. i’m worried that the nail won’t touch my nail inside and it will lift easy. i’ve watched so many tutorials and none talk about this.
My natural nails are flat, and I can apply our nail tips easily with regular nail glue. The tips don’t have a high curve (apex), so you should be able to use nail glue without any trouble. You’re right-you can’t use gel glue with them because they are opaque and not see through so it won’t harden properly (like I mentioned in the video). To help them stick better, you can lightly file or sand the inside of the nail tips before applying. Just treat them like normal press-on nails.
This was so pretty. I personally prefer the right hand cause I love a dark-to-light aura nail. You did a great job I'll definitely be trying this! 🩷 Also, would you recommend nail glue or nail tabs to have your press-ons last longer?
@@aalanahr Thank youuuu and me too lol I prefer the dark to light aura as well 😍💖 I would definitely use nail glue to keep them on longer but sticky tabs are cool if you want to just apply them for the moment! ✨🫶🏽
Both hands are so beautiful!
What an adorable set…thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you so much! It means a lot 🥹💖🙌🏽
Is the rubber base like a builder gel? Or can you explain what it is?
