- Sleepless nights and breathtaking sunsets.
A journey between chaos and serenity.
Filmed in Catania (my hometown) and Ortigia, near Syracuse. Inspired by the cinematography of Wong Kar-wai and this beautiful song by Jaques Greene: Serenity.
Also inspired by the amazing work of David Tse (davidtsetv.com/)
Gear used: Sony a7III + Tamron 28-75mm, Tamron 17-28 , TTArtisan 50mm, Tiffen Black Pro-mist 1/4
Edited in FCPX and graded in DaVinci Resolve using Cineprint16 by Tom Bolles. (www.tombolles....)

Roberto, I'm totally in love with your work. The way you record clips and connect them along with the music is insane. How you color grade your clips is such an inspiration for beginners like me, and also I have to remark how those little graphics you add stylize the video creating a connection between the viewer and you.
Greetings,
EZZA
Wow man! You're too kind ❤ It really means a lot, it's amazing that with my work I can transmit some emotions and connect with the viewers. I will keep on posting these kind of videos, I love the whole process. Keep creating man, would love to see some of your work 🙏🏻👊🏻
Lovely work, I’m truly hooked with your work bro!!! How do you make that “distortions” in the sides of your texts!? So dope!
Hey Thank you so much bro ❤ about the text is just a simple blur focus effect from Fcpx applied. :)
i can feel it! thank you for your work.
Thank you so much Steven ❤
Amaaaazing man! Love your unique style, the whole video was an inspring trip itself 😅 Subbed :)
Hey thank you so much!! it really means a lot to me. Much love xx
Wow man, the energy in this video is overflowing. So choatic and eerie in the opening sequences with the long exposure video shots. Im curious.. are the filmish animated graphics created by yourself or are they some sort of preset/overlay. I definetely would be interested in them!
Thanks man, glad you like it :) ❤ the animated overlays are made by Acidbite, It's a pack called cinemarks.
Looks so great, I love the colors!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Another masterpiece! The soundtrack is the icing 🤤🤤🔥
Thank you so much!! ❤ This one is a little darker and moody than the first one 🌚
Truly beautiful
Grazie Federico! :)

Thank you so much Juliana 🖤Im working on the next one, all filmed in Napoli, a city that I truly love. Coming really soon :)

This video is so good!
Thanks Jeremy 🙏🏻🖤
Hello!
I like your video and see it over and over again.
How does something like freehand drawing animation which sometimes comes out form it?
I am thankful if you can give me an advice.
Thank you so much :) The drawings are from a pack made by AcidBite!

Thank you so much Din!! 🙏🏻❤
Roberto please if you can help me, what shutter speeds did you for example at shots like 12 seconds. Also where did you find the title template from!!! please would be much appreciated.
I use a shutter speed of 1/5 or 1/4! The title template is from Tropic Colour :)
very dope
Thank you so much George 🙏🏻
This is so cool🔥🔥
Thank youuu ❤🙏🏻
Nice Content Bro 👍🏽👍🏽keep it up!!
Thanks dudeee! 🙏🏻🖤
Fckn sooolid! I've been waiting for this dude! Amazing edit and cinematography as always❤ Where do you get all these overlays, scratches, lightleaks and so on? Is it tropiccolour?
Thank you so much maaan! Went on the dark side on this one 🌚 The assets I use are from different sites: AcidBite, MuviFx, Tropicolour, Ezra Cohen...
@@RobOliveri Here's something you might like man. Very raw Eastern European vibes ruclips.net/video/Q0HpXZEKxt4/видео.html
@@saintmatthew9100 Hahah I've seen this video and others from Azar Strato hundreds of time. He's a sick director and musician.
@@RobOliveri hahah same here man! I get goosebumps everytime I watch his stuff. Master of the frame! I would love to know his grading process. I don’t think it’s cineprint16 anyway. Would you know by any chance. I scrolled through all the comments under his videos to get any info but 80% of them are in Russian😂 Apparently he shoots on Sonya7III and 24-70GM lens but I’m not sure if it’s true
@@saintmatthew9100 Yeah the colors he gets are insane but definitely not Cineprint... No halation and overall a different process i guess. Really low highlights and incredible colour density. Have you seen his latest videos he did for Octavian? Definitely a different approach, more modern and less dirty. Still amazing tho.
Excellent job! Where did you got those film frame overlays (blackbars) from? I like that they are moving a tiny bit. Keep up the great work :)
Thank you so much Peter 🙏🏻 Those are from Ezra Cohen :)
@@RobOliveri How do you keep the detail in the lower shadows/blacks? Everytime I apply the cineprint 16 its cut off and I can't bring it back in post :( I've texted you on IG as well!
Film burns and sfx link please!
question on your music choice! Did you find this music through a distributor copyright free? I love this song and want to use it for one of my projects but I can't find it on a site such as musicbed or epidemic sound, etc where I can purchase a license for copyright free services
Hey Tony! As u can see after the description on all my videos, there is a copyright claim of the artist. So basically I use copyrighted music on my videos, RUclips will automatically inform me that I will never be able to monetize on that specific video. I basically won't make any money on that video and I cannot use it for commercial purposes.
what is the name of the fx in the second sequence?
Nice work! What color mode and gamma are you using for that night scenes?
Thank man! 🖤 The setting used are: Gamma: Cine4, Color mode: Pro, Sat: -7, Details: -7
How do you do the drawings on the screen?
Hey there! It's a pack from acidbite :)
Somebody's been watching Chungking Express
BTW how do you do those little paint effects on the screen? Are you doing that yourself in Photoshop? Or is it in an overlay pack?
Indeed, I really love that movie and all the Wong Kar-Wai stuff in general! :) The paint/scribbles stuff are from a pack by Acidbite!
how do you shoot without rolling shutter in 4K???
What do you mean? a7III has rolling shutter in 4K. :)
0:14 asi se ve cuando te tomas 3 botellas :v
Did you shoot in slog?
Cine4
what were your settings for the step printing shots? they look fantastic
Thank you man! In this case it's all done in camera. I put my shutter speed at 1/4 and according to the light I'll adjust my aperture. In that case it must have been at f16 or something. 👊🏻
@@RobOliveri That’s amazing. Great job. Did you use any lens filters to soften the image?
@@denizakyurek3987 Yes man, Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/4 👍🏻
1:06 its shows your maturity level.
Explain. I'm curious to understand your comment.
@@RobOliveriwhy you put wrong ✖️ mark on that couple. Do you think it makes you cool?
@@hritesh7 I'm cooler than you for sure. You little insignificant hater.
