Memories of Scotland | Sony FX3 | Film Emulation + Mixed Media
Filmed during the summer using the Sony FX3. Edited and colored in DaVinci Resolve. I spiced up the edit with some mixed media elements, all individually scanned, scratched, painted and animated! :) a process I’ve been leaning into more and more. To me, it adds a distinctive analog and handcrafted vibe to every project.

How I See Things (Shot on Lumix S5)
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.4 месяца назад
A trip into the mind of a writer and her creative process, the way she finds inspiration, and the balance of living in the city. Her vision and my way of filming and editing merge into a dance of mutual expressiveness and respect. For this piece I dove into the world of mixed-media editing - a style that I'm slowly learning and that I'd love to further explore in future projects. Starring and v...

Still trying to find the best workflow with the Lumix S5, after years of using just Sony cameras. As you can see (or hear) I had to take down the audio of the video due to a copyright claim 😢 My idea is to re-edit the video with a new soundtrack (one day? maybe xD) , but I wanted to keep this here as you've shown me a lot of love in the comments, and felt terrible to cancel that. Your videos are literally the reason im buying this camera!
That's amazing to hear man! Im sure you'll love it.

Buenismo!! grabaste en S-log2 o S-log3 ?

was the dirt and scratches done with film damage on davinci? also what are those effects you use like the arrows and crosses?
Worldclass.
Much love Jonathan!
So good. Wonderful footage, mesmerizing colours and excellent choice of music. Inspiring stuff Roberto
Thank you so much man 🙏🏻
Really great ambiance you’ve created here 👌🏻
Thank you so much ❤️
Bro is that lut available, or did u just use davini built in
Lovely Cuts
Thank you so much man 👊🏻
Great work- what lenses did you use? Cineprint 35 mixed with your talent really helped remov the “digital sharpness” we get so often with our mirrorless cameras. I’m wondering to what degree you can achieve similar results with the sigma 28-70 f2.8. Do you think tweaking Cineprint 35 would be enough to remove that digital sharpness?
Thank you so much man, means a lot! This whole project was actually shot with the sigma 28-70 f2.8! you can dial in the sharpness by tweaking the "film blur" node in the powergrade :)
hey bro ! can i buy this frame boỏder ? i really wanna it 😢

Thank you so much! ❤️
Love your colors! Are you using a LUT?
Thanks! I use Cineprint35 or Film Unlimited (powegrades for Davinci)
@@RobOliveri thanks a lot, amazing work!
Bel video Roberto! Come ti trovi con la S5? Sto valutando di prenderla anch’io per questo stile di progetti!
Grazie mille!! Mi trovo benissimo a parte l'autofocus (praticamente inesistente). A questo punto visto il prezzo opterei per la S5IIx...
Looks so so good!! Can you please show how you used CinePrint35 to achieve this. ?
Thanks!! Go to Tom Bolles channel, he has some good tutorials there!
v-log?
Yep!
Nice editing
🔥
oomaagaaaaaad you are crazyyy
Love it! I love all of your videos, always impressed. Where to start with mixed media editing? I saw this kind of style on Nowness, but didn´t know where to start...
Thank you so much, means a lot! :) For the mixed media I'd start by watching this video by Harry Sung: ruclips.net/video/TAh4hC_Rl1s/видео.html, he explains the whole process quite well!!
@@RobOliveri Thanks! Will have a look into that. But I think, I found the goat of mixed media yesterday: ruclips.net/video/VyozVrt36lo/видео.htmlsi=UdaC-1lZ1paMk33D Man, she´s awesome!
@@RobOliveri Hi Rob! I tried a bit of mixed media... a first try... 😉 ruclips.net/video/3x2ReQ_n9bA/видео.htmlsi=g1AdxtUYaluos7Uf
Wooow
love it.
Thank you!
Awesome. 🎉
Like your stuff.. but your lumix footage looks much better to me.. Sony looks to digital .. but in general your work is awesome!
Thank you so much man ❤️
Film burns and sfx link please!
Hello i Love this style of color grading, did you increase the sharpness of the video because the video is very sharp??
Thanks, and no, i didn't. Actually I've taken some sharpness out!
So amazing! Wld you kindly share how do you edit the low shutter transitions at 1/4 in post? For example do you change the clip speed or add any effects?
Thank you!! I don't change the speed or do anything to the video if I've filmed it at 1/4. All the magic is done in camera ;)
I like it
That was well done. Thank you for great video. Enjoy the rest of the week and stay safe.
Thank you man, much love ❤️
Nice edit
Thank you Joseph!
