SJC Siren #62 Dont Like It, Dont Watch It

decided to go back to 62 which is a SRNB with small logo and get a windup. SJC is about to upgrade all the sirens in the county. Sirens like this one will get the wood pole removed and put on a concrete pole. Otherwise all new controls, radios and battery boxes.
Also like title says, dont like it dont watch it, 2001s we just gotta accept they arent going anywhere, not everything has to be all thunderbolts thunderbolts and thunderbolts, that shits getting old

Glad to hear SJC is taking extra steps to upgrade already good weather sirens. Battery Backup and more energy efficient sirens must be nice to have!

Thunderbolts are a big deal but I do like 2001s as I live a few blocks away from one.

Great video Bill! I know for me the nearest thunderbolt for me is roght at around a hundred miles away. Everything in between has been 130'ed. Some people don't get that it's not always convenient to make a trip just for a siren test.

Still not 100% sure on that. The new system will give them the capability to use all 3 signals but I am still unsure as to what their new testing protocol will be. I can tell you one thing though, West Shore Services is doing the upgrades so we will finally have a reliable system. I have been trying to convince them to use WSS for years. The contractor who originally installed the system is not an authorized Federal dealer, and it shows…

still nothing being done at warren st or any other sirens around me hell when we had the warning i was up by 23 and the by pass and i could hardly hear anything

No siren replacements. Just new control cabinets and antennas on all existing 67 sirens, plus 5 new sirens for additional coverage. 2001-130s.
