    How does the law allow for a student to bring relatives to the country? This is why I hate when people blame the French for what's happening with the dingies. The problem is well within the UK.
    Also, the entitlement of this people is staggering: "you cannot expect Nigerians to leave their country and come here by themselves, it's our culture". In other words, your country should be up for grabs, a free for all, no matter how the native culture gets diluted.

    • @tvs9978
      @tvs9978 Год назад +9

      You're getting a well educated Nigerian student who is probably studying engineering, law, medicine, stem research etc to the highest level and paying double what a Brit pays for university. When they bring a dependent, it's usually a spouse, child or sibling. So It's a win-win for you because you're getting the best of the crop

    • @purplehaze8557
      @purplehaze8557 Год назад +2

      @@tvs9978 Incorrect. Given that a lot of foreign students to the UK are from muslim or very conservative cultures, the female dependents will not work. Dependents who are minor will take up space in daycares, schools, NHS, etc. Likewise, the international students themselves also taking up university places that should serve the nationals. Moreover, it's not even guaranteed that the international students finish the 1st year. A common immigration fraud is to get a student visa and then simply disappear in the maze that is the parallel economy. Then you have the cultural impact, as Farage mentioned. Even if they all were to integrate properly (which they don't), the vast numbers of foreign students in the UK (over 600K + dependents) is just too much. Lastly, the UK is allowing this lot to get passports, even if their intention is to eventually leave the UK. That is just plain stupid.

    • @tvs9978
      @tvs9978 Год назад +9

      @@purplehaze8557 you cannot get a UK passport unless you're a citizen and citizenship is only attainable after years living in the country. So it's not as if they get a passport after a year and leave. And I can guarantee you that the majority those who get passports do not leave. The handful who do maintain a link with the UK, spending their holidays in the UK, maintaining a second home I the UK and sending their kids to British prep schools and universities. Also a myth that the majority drop out. Nigerian parents are very bullish about education. Dropping out is not an option
      The few who drop out don't have proper family networks. And just because some NOT THE MAJORITY, are from Muslim backgrounds doesn't mean the women won't work. Clearly you have outdated ideas about Muslim women. In Nigeria, all women work regardless of religion. Sitting at home is not an option or you will starve. So a false premise. As to daycares, what is the issue if the parents are paying for daycare? That helps the sector to grow. Same with universities. International students are pure profit for British universities unlike national students.

      @purplehaze8557 Год назад

      @@tvs9978 "you cannot get a UK passport unless you're a citizen and citizenship is only attainable after years living in the country."
      It shouldn't be attainable at all. That's what I'm saying. Or at least it should be much harder to obtain.
      "those who get passports do not leave"
      Well, that only makes the aforementioned problem worse.
      "Also a myth that the majority drop out. Nigerian parents are very bullish about education."
      I didn't say the majority drop out. Plenty do. Like I said, it's probably the most common type of immigration fraud. And if nigerians are so bullish about education, how come so many adolescents of nigerian background are running amok, involved in all kinds of crime? Nigerians and blacks in general commit more crimes than any other race. What kind of education is that?
      "In Nigeria, all women work regardless of religion. Sitting at home is not an option or you will starve."
      Emphasis on "in Nigeria". In the west they don't have to work because they can apply to all kinds of benefits. This is an issue all over Europe, not just the UK.
      " As to daycares, what is the issue if the parents are paying for daycare? That helps the sector to grow."
      How do you know they are paying? If they go to a public sector nursery or school, they don't pay. Same thing with the NHS. Even if it's private, they are taking up vacancies and driving up the prices. Their presence offers no benefits.
      Universities should first and foremost serve the nationals. How many university places are offered to foreign students on the basis of idiotic principles such as "diversity" or "multiculturalism"? And more to the point, if this people were so great, how come the more they come, the worse life in the UK gets? Heck of a coincidence...

    • @tvs9978
      @tvs9978 Год назад +7

      @@purplehaze8557 you make some extremely childish arguments. First of all, universities in the UK are not overwhelmed by the current influx of international students. Quite the contrary. All universities have quotas for the number of international students they will accept per year ergo No Brit students are losing places in universities because of international students. In fact international students are picking up the slack. That's why your universities send hundreds of reps out every year to visit high schools across Africa and Asia and to attend uni fairs to entice international students to study in the UK. It's a whole business. And you make ridiculous profits off these students not to mention what they pay in fees to take the A levels every year.
      Secondly, what do you mean a passport should not be attainable at all? Why does every country make an allowance for naturalization then? Because there are circumstances, where a person can add value to a country, in which case that person is able to become a citizen. This is nothing new. People have been naturalizing as British citizens for centuries. And it takes years, loads of forms and background checking not to mention fees to get that passport ie. The authorities check that the person is going to add value. So this silly diatribe is not based on the reality. And FYI, the issue with kids in crime is from 1st and 2nd geners, not immigrants ie international students.

    "in search of a better lifestyle" err Nigeria is 3.8 times the size of the UK, so why should we accept immigration from there? I would have ZERO migration from large non European countries like India, China, Pakistan etc. It's completely un-necessary and unsustainable. If our small island needs any immigrants there is more than enough as a pool from neighbouring European countries and anyone of British ancestry living in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The Tories have made coming here to study for a degree, a migration route. Students can now stay for years on a visa and apply for residency. This was not the case just a few years ago.

      I think we’ve tried that European migrant thing it didn’t work that’s part the reason we left the EU. The Eastern Europeans did not work. They had many kids the minute they got here and pressured the nhs and welfare system. All of them left the minute we had brexit cos no more freeloading. I would accept controlled migration the legal way from common wealth nations, at least they contribute to the British economy one way or another.

Britain want cheap labours, they want immigrants money, but still complaining like Immigrants granted themselves visas to come here. If you don't want them here, why collect their money or granted them visa ?

      Britain has recruitment centres in Nigeria, and most Nigerian's don't want to come to the UK and many that do, either eventually leave or end up regretting it. So there's nothing to worry about.

    People with money however they might be students who are clever enough can exploit the English immigration system . Take the Nigerian Doctor and Nigerian Senator exploiting the HNS who were convicted recently . Who has the pay keeping them in prison. Also we have to pay for the victim of human trafficking to stay now in this country. It just a tiny tip of a huge mountain of people we are paying for it.
