Whatever others might say, I think Cyber Shadow is a really cool game. Hard, rewarding. And the story has a lot more depth that most may think at first glance. If Aarne Hunziker ever novelizes this game, I'll buy that book, no questions asked.
This guy is definitely a pro. He beat this game with no health and spirit upgrades or weapon pickups. I upgraded my health and spirit bars pretty good and I still struggle at this game lol
This is better than the messanger tbh Gameplay is a lot tighter and more consistent. Doesn't have the weird multi world gimmick that just makes the art feel messy and out of place at times. Messenger is still good, but could have benefited from some more refining imo

All because of Tomonobu Itagaki left Koei Tecmo for the wrong reason(Leading to his disaster of Devil's Third). Without him, the heart & soul of Ninja Gaiden is dead. Since Yaiba NGZ, there hasn't been anything new about the franchise thus Ryu Hayabusa's status as a supposed "Super Ninja" has been forgotten in recent times. But do you wanna know why the Ninja Gaiden franchise do not get enough recognition? ALL BECAUSE TECMO KOEI HAVING NO IDEA HOW TO MAKE A BRAND NEW 2D NINJA GAIDEN GAME AFTER THE NES NINJA GAIDEN TRILOGY! YOU CAN BLAME THE INFERIOR SNES REMAKES THAT CAUSE THE COMPANY TO DITCH 2D GAMEPLAY FOR THE WRONG REASON! Oh true there was "The Messenger" that do the Ninja Gaiden gameplay first, but I believe Cyber Shadow(Created by Yacht Club Games & Mechanical Head Studios headed by Aarne Hunziker) do the ninja gameplay much better. There's less backtracking(Though backtracking is still underwhelming thus not as balanced as others like 2D Metroid games), the pacing is faster, and less punishing as you don't lose anything when you die except for Special Items from far away after using the checkpoint and adding the Death Count. My problem with Cyber Shadow as of this comment was that there's not enough contents. It is not as grand as Shovel Knight Treasure Trove. No New Game Plus, no Time Attack Mode for speedrunning purposes, no Challenge Mode, no Boss Attack, no ability to copy the save data, and no Sound Test. Hopefully future updates will fix that issue.
