Funny how he went from friend to actively plotting revenge on us in a matter of 3 days. I’m interested in what his first reaction is going to be when we see him at blueberry academy.
I think he will be happy but will actively try to beat us with new tactics like hop did in swsh Or maybe he'll act cold towards us until the final match... I do feel like Kieran is gonna be influenced by something
I feel like he is gonna be a final boss in DLC2 or something, maybe the champion of the Blueberry Academy? Anyway, I don't think he will be like evil-evil but a more capable trainer like Wally and Cynthia.
Carmine: "Please, Ki-Ki, look at yourself. This isn't who you are. You got to rethink about how your Pokemon feel." Kieran: "Have you ever think about how I felt when you were busy hogging the spotlight?" Carmine: "I..um..." Kieran: "That's right, you haven't. And now that I am stronger than ever, I am going to show to everyone that silly things like emotions are not needed when it comes to power."

While hop is frustrated at himself when he keeps losing, kieran is more so frustrated at the player. It's fascinating to watch his slow descent, and I feel like he is written better than hop.
Kieran went from a nice kid . That I genuinely felt bad for. To a kid I was DEATHLY afraid of. His fights are ACTUALLY kinda tough near the end. And then he starts to give off volo vibes-
Kieran is like a walking Black and White reference. Named Kieran, wears white. Uses an apple based (NYC = Big Apple) pokemon who is most likely going to evolve again in part two of the DLC (which takes place in an academy in Unova).
In most other languages Carmine and Kieran are puns on "redcurrant" and "blackcurrant", but in English they just went with Carmine, meaning crimson, and Kieran, meaning dark.
A neat little detail I noticed is that his Furret, a Pokemon he has in almost all the battles isn’t on his team during your final battle with him. I think it is a cool detail in showing just how desperate he has gotten to defeating you that he is willing to abandon one of his earliest Pokemon in a vain attempt to defeat you. And unlike with Hop in SwSh this genuinely heartbreaking watching him as he loses to you and gets rejected by Ogerpon. Can’t wait for his villain arc in Indigo Disk.
Didn't he also always open with Sentret/Furret? Because aw, since he'd always kiss (?) the pokéball before throwing it each battle, I guess he was really attached it to it. Hope the furry noodle is fine then :(
No wonder why Orgepon didn't want Kieran as her trainer, if Kieran did this to Furret, his first pokémon and friend, only for power, Orgepon wasn't gonna get better luck than Furret at all.
@@Rocky-brilliantThe thing is, are we any different from that? Like, yeah, we got Ogerpon. Now what? Do we have to leave her forever in the PC or do we instead leave in the PC a Pokémon from our team we've had since the beginning of the game? I love Ogerpon, she's cute, has a sad backstory and deserves all the hugs, but mine is currently in the PC because I didn't want to remove one of my Pokémon from my main history team. They're all my babies.
I dunno how anyone can see Kieran’s face at 11:39 and not think this kid’s going off the deep end. He looks absolutely INSANE, if you pay attention you can actually see his pupils shrinking. It’s terrifying
@amandamakin1542 shiftry is a tengu, a yo kai that controls wind. Like most yokai he annoys others with spites, but it isnt evil in any way. Dipplin isnt a snake. Its a worm/wyrm.
Not enough ppl talk about that part for me like look at his friggin eyes this boy is out to destroy us and the death grip he had on that pokeball was nuts!
Kieran deserved better in this DLC, I feel really bad for how he gets treated by Carmine and that we had to keep a secret from him. The kid can never catch a break, if I was in the game, I would give him a BIG hug.
I KNOW RIGHT felt bad for him the whole dlc like what the fuck gamefreak. Then he soon became very bitter as if his hormones suddenly activated and it was pretty much over because then he kept losing against us obviously. And Carmine is actually kinda of a jerk she had better apologize in part 2
@alexejnemov and by the way we know ok? Sometimes people can feel bad for game/movie characters bc it feels right but that doesn't mean we think they are real people or anything like damn Don't ruin the mood even more man.
> Be Kieran > Be an autistic little guy (compliment) on your small town folklore and identify with the villain > School trip with foreign academy happens > the new kid seems cool at first, but it turns out that they were conspiring with your sister to hide the monster, who was real all along, from you > Get butthurt at first, but then get over it > Convince your hometown that the monster from the legend is actually good and your waifu > Somehow the town agrees and welcomes her > Your waifu still prefers the new kid over you > Challenge the new kid to a battle in front of your monster waifu to win her heart > Lose > It's all Ogre now (alternatively, it’s Overpon) Being Kieran is suffering
This isn't the story of Ogerpon, her masks, and the "Loyal" Three. This is the story of Kieran's descent into insanity, viewed through the eyes of the very person who unwillingly caused said insanity to begin with.
Its interesting to me that this feels like the storymode is just an origin of the next villian in dlc. Its more interesting as it also feels like the players conflict then just being a helping role in gamelines story. Kieran isnt the main game's antagonist, he's just our, the player's conflicting antagonist. This whole storymode was to set a backstory of the player and their ties to creating the next villian. Thats the most interesting the champion road was the main goal and part of Nemona's story, Team Star's was Penny's story, the Path of Titans and Area Zsro was Arven's, Kieran's descent and stopping him is ours no one else's but our conflict as we created the antagonist and we alsio played a role in causing the possible next conflict. You could argue thats its Carmine saving her brother from this dark path but Kieran wants to fight us as he states the players name it shows this is our story and we need to finish it.
What's even scarier is that we'll be going to Blueberry Academy, his home turf, a completely isolated location in the middle of the ocean where Kieran can very easily make our death look like an unfortunate accident. Of course, I don't actually think he'll go that far. He'll probably just be really cold towards us and almost bring about an apocalypse by following Miss Briar. Just in case, I'm bringing Ogrepon. He wouldn't dare make her relive that experience. Both because he does still care about her and because he knows what happened last time her trainer was killed.
@@HealingVoice39 Yeah, going through the DLC for me was kinda awkward because I was in the post game and all of my Pokemon were in the late nineties so even with the level boost I kinda just booped everyone to death. Felt a little bad for Kieran, poor kid didn't stand a chance and probably still won't stand a chance in part two
Considering it’s implied him punching the graves of The Lousy Three revived them in some way not to mention they are evil means there are disturbing implications that Kieran will become evil himself
If I'm not mistaken, the green mask was rumored to have abilities that said it make withering plants spring back to life. I thought the mask did it since he did have it when that happened.
@MyDragonDestroyer64 in game briar said that there were rumors that the crystal pool allows you to see the dead, so it has to be terrastal energy of some kind that likely caused his change in personality (the professor becoming obsessed with the time machine powered by terrastal energy) and reviving the loyal three
@@Mario87456 My theory is that briar is so obsessed with studying the energy that she uses kieran as a sort of test subject or he volunteered. Briar wasn't very present throughout this part of the dlc so she is suspicious to me
15:03 that sound effect as he smiles sounds familiar... i distinctly remember that playing during a certain scene with volo as he cackles evilly shortly before the end, as your first warning sign of what he was about to become
Calling it now - Briar's the real bad guy, and Kieran will become her toady as he tries to use Terastallization to beat you. She even openly said that she wants to spread the Terastal phenomenon to other regions... she's the descendant of the person who wrote the Scarlet/Violet Book, after all. But who knows what that will do?
@@GustavoJua15 I don't know, I felt like Briar was sarcastic when she talked about Jacq. But if it's true it would be dope to have a partners in crime situation
Imagine a super boss where the game copies your inventory of battle items over to the AI player, gives intelligent held items, and maxes out the AI’s battle abilities while leaving a 1/100 roll of a random move or switch-in just to keep you from sticking to a pattern.
Say what you will about scarlet and violet but the writing for the characters and stories are really good and they’ve been crossing new territories than any other installment, final threat is the Professor, traveling with all your rivals at the same time, and now the timid sidekick rival who became a psycho antagonist.
Their personalities basically switched from the beginning to the end. She was cold and he was sensitive and that end had him being cold and her as the sensitive one.
At the beginning he was like Wally but seemed to be controlled by his sister. Then things ended with him swearing bloody murder on us. I love this little dude
I do feel bad Kieran between being a shy outcast with a older sister who can bully him, even if older siblings can be that way, still. Plus we never see their parents, makes me wonder if they died and they are raised by their grandparents. Plus when he is just opening up, we seemingly betray him by keeping Ogerpon a secret. Of course we aren’t even allowed to tell him the truth because of pressure by Carmine. Then of course he constantly loses to us and Ogerpon chooses us instead, no wonder he breaks. That being said. He’s not devoid of any wrong himself. In his defense he’s a boy likely in his early teens, which can be an emotional time and he already emotionally struggles. But going back, he’s the one constantly trying to battle us, not truly taking time to mentally recover from the last lost and reflect, battling us 5 times in the span of 3 days. On top of that, he acts like he knows Ogerpon. He’s right that she wasn’t evil, but made her out to be a independent creature who didn’t care about others feelings on them, which we see isn’t true. Ogerpon was quite the opposite. Just like the others, he to made assumptions of her that weren’t right without truly knowing her. He projected probably what he wants to be onto her. I think he has a tendency to latch to those he perceives as strong to make himself feel stronger. Then of course he at one point steals the Teal Mask in a fit of anger, despite it being the last remnant Ogerpon had of her companion. An important item to her that he never implies he was gonna return to her on his own. Then of course during the battles with the Loyal Three, he backs out, probably out of insecurity, though he does take the time to clear her name. A good thing sure, but probably could have waited since they needed to find the 3 and protect Ogerpon and retrieve her mask. He could have aided in that, he has strong enough Pokemon for it, but allowed his insecurities to get in the way. This gave Ogerpon the time to bond with the player. He succeeded in telling the truth, which was great. But certain shots of him and the way he reacts after Ogerpon chooses us, makes it seemed as though all that was in the end, and him being her “biggest fan” was enough that she stay and pick him. Or he was hoping he could eventually catch her himself after everything since he said “If she is not gonna stay here!” We didn’t steal her, she CHOOSE to come with us. Our player was completely willing to let her be in peace and return home. He probably planned to catch her and make her his after we left, not expecting her to leave, or at least bond first then catch her. A wrench was thrown in his plans. He acknowledges he’s being selfish. But is it towards Ogerpon, or the player, in he wants to take the opportunity from us? When Carmine begs he consider Ogerpon’s feelings, he doesn’t even answer and wants to battle anyway. Then throws a fit when he loses, which on some level understandable. With his obsession with strength. Did he really want Ogerpon because he simply wanted to be friends or because she was this supposed pillar of strength and independence and the whole “we are the same” is his excuse and justification of why he should have her and she make him seem stronger. Even Carmine implies he always has had an ego
In a way, even though he compares himself to Ogerpon, in reality he may be more like the Loyal Three. 3 pokemon who were originally nobodies who became strong through the toxic chains, but it wasn’t enough. They desired more, and tried to steal the mask for themselves. They didn’t truly earn the respect they were given. Like them, Kieran desires to become strong and respected and while he definitely is, it’s not enough for him. He couldn’t just be satisfied with helping Ogerpon be accepted, nor with accepting we are stronger than him. He wants to be the strongest, and sacrifices his only friend in a obsessive attempt to beat us, even probably knowing why we lied to him
@@mirandamartin4001 I really do wish we were given the option to tell them the truth though or at least that Carmine truly apologize to him that I did not think it was fair
This is certainly sound, however, it doesn't change the fact that we still contributed to a problem that we have to deal later. That lie still had ramifications that only made things worse. No matter the intentions, it's often the pathway to a dark road. Carmine shouldn't have lied, even though she didn't have proof of Orgepon's innocence. (Being fair, that lie came from the grandfather and she and the player had respect his wishes) We can only speculate on Kieran's origins of where his ego originated. He likely remained timid due to circumstances that made him feel less confident than he should. It doesn't help that his sister treats him badly, and it always takes other people to make a person feel worse about him or herself. So he felt like no one could understand him until he heard of Orgepon's tale. His love of the Orgepon unfortunately reached a point where while his Actions still helped the Pokemon, he projected himself and viewed her as the source of strength and independence. And while this obsession slowly grew, not many people in his life recognized this and written it off. This kid had a problem with his insecurities with being weak due to his struggles dealing with it, and being treated badly because of how others treated him. All I know is that he will be a fierce rival and we contributed to his madness to a degree that was more than enough among other things that drove him to pursue power.
It's a real shame that this game didn't have voice acting, personally I would loved to hear his voice and witness how he slowly becomes obsessed with victory and with us.
I’m excited to see what they’ll do with him in the Indigo Disk, he’s shaping up to be a really tough foe later on! Imagine that when you get to blueberry academy, you find out he’s drastically improved, to the point he’s become the champion of the BB league. He’d be a direct rival to you, two rival champions facing off to protect their titles!
i can see this going a few ways. 1) he isnt going crazy he just wants to get stronger to challenge the player again. (least likely) 2) since teal mask didnt give us the new paradox forms of Cobalion and Raiku they may play a integral part in DLC 2 (as well as walking wake/Iron leaves) along w/ Trerapagos. either Briar finds a way to summon them and give it to Kieran to use against the player OR Kieran goes into area Zero accidentally reactivates the time machine and summons the remaining paradox legends through. 3) he learns of the time machine through rumors/ eaves dropping w/ the player/ Nemona,Penny and Arven and Willingly goes to paldea to turn on/ summon more paradox mon to use against the player. Tbh Im kinda for the 2nd or 3rd option mainly if his actions are accidental. Kieran's emotions are justified but the way he's going about things he'd be blind to or unprepared for any incidents his actions cause. which is sad but should the go this route i'd love to see how its resolved in the 2nd DLC
I'm pretty sure that this is what ash would've become if he never learned about the importance of losing a battle. Ash managed to learn that losing isn't a bad thing and that he can learn much more in order to become a better and stronger trainer. Kieran though... man this boy's hatred of losing just made him go insane with his anger and jealousy. It's scary but yet kinda sad 😥 Also my gosh, i can't stand with the fact in how carmine doesn't care that much of how her brother isn't mentally ok 😠
Honestly i hope they do something with a villain. I think while obviously he won’t stay a villain. i think he should be a villain in part 2. everyone saying it’s the hop treatment. but i think it’s the improvement of hop. instead of sadness and giving up. he turns to frustration and anger which leads to him striving for more power. it has potential for a great villain even if not the main villain.
He's stronger than his sister and is probably the most hyper focused rival we have had in a long time. He acts like how most people would act if they were in his position. Angry for always losing and wanting to win.
Kieran was badly mistreated. The main character just went along with Carmen and kept secrets from him. If he knew what was happening, he would have helped solve the story too. I even think he could have formed a bond with Ogrepon. Although Carmen turned out alright, she often wasn’t good to him. Kieran should have known the truth from the beginning. He really loved Ogrepon, always believed Ogrepon was Good. I honestly agree he deserved to be it’s trainer.
I just finished Teal Mask last night, and I gotta say I'm a bit concerned for my guy, Kieran. Definitely giving some "don't come to school tomorrow" energy
Kieran didn't really fall into madness: he's more an unsecured and envious boy who only wish being good and being appreciated with honesty by the others. I understand him because I was the same back I was young and even a bit how. 8:23 uh Kieran who you think you impress when you punch the stone like an edgy kid ?
Kieran is a word used to define a “a little dark entity” Carmine is a name that represents “crimson” which is the color that symbolizes embarrassment when put on situations.
Kieran just went Vergil. He slicked his hair back & he needs more power. He's gonna summon an evil Battle Tower which the player has to climb with Ogrepon where the player will have to duel on top of the tower with him. His sister would encounter you along the way & battle you exclaiming that Kieran is her responsibility & that you should back off.
I could.imagine it being like the Prowler Miles reveal scene at the end of spiderverse where he just shows in a much more dark outfit before revealing his face def think he's look dope wearing a mask
My only complaint with this whole sequence of events is that it feels like our relationship with the siblings is a bit rushed. Like, we become friends with Kieran then the next day our friendship deteriorates and now we're no longer friends. What I would've done is, instead of the Carmine fight, we head into town where we see Kieran being picked on by some other kids. We step in and shoo the kids away. Carmine then comes in and thinks that we were the ones picking on Kieran and gets ready to fight us when the Caretaker arrives and accuses the siblings of causing trouble. The player quickly vouches for them and explains what actually happened. The duo heads home. The next day we're given our assignment and paired with Kieran. Only this time, either before or after the second signpost he asks us if we could go to the apple orchard with him. We go to the orchard, collect some apples, see Kieran catch an Applin, and Kieran explains why he wanted to collect the apples. Perhaps we even take a picture at the picture stand. We then go up to Ogrepon's den, drop off the apples, and things continue as normal.
I agree. It is pretty well written but it seemed slightly rushed. Just fleshing out the relation between Kieran and the player would help out a lot. But the dlc is perfect in my opinion
the trainer beats him 4 times and the final time was in front of his ogre waifu seriously what did you think would happen if a side character fought a post game main character
You figure out the pokemon you love since your childhood has been shunned away by your village, the yearly festivities of your village is honoring a trio of greedy pokemon who are the source of what caused your beloved pokemon to end up isolated. Some unknown trainer approximatively the same age as you keeps beating you up in battle and receives the affection of the only on pokemon you truly care for. On top of that you have a stupid sister that seems to disregard you on a daily basis and even more than that, people suddenly starts keeping secrets away from you for what seems like unlegitimate reasons? And all of that happens in the span of three days? I don't know what child wouldn't become completely crazy burning with jealousy and anger. Kieran had it rough, it makes me feel bad for him. I like that boy's design and the shy attitude, it helped me get attached to him, I don't know if it is to be considered a good character or not, but I'm curious to see what he will turn into in the second part of the DLC Although I think the evil grin at the end doesn't make much sense and was unnecessary, that's quite radical
its all justified because what did you think would happen if someone went up against a post game main character? plus we had to catch ogerpon because you gotta catch em all
I wanted to slap carmine when she said “why is he angry?” GURL PLEASE AND THEN THAT ONE DAMN SCENE, WHERE THAT HAPPENS AND THE GRANDPA IS LITERALLY RIGHT THERE, SAID NOTHING LIKE GOD DAMN 😭 The grandma should of showed up more (she is such a sweetheart, she would probably try to calm the tension) and I’ll die on this hill
Kieran: why am I the punching bag and you get all the screentime! You're not even good the first time you meet (player)! You're a jerk and selfish, even at the end! Carmine: simple, the people love me despite me being the jerk. What do they call it. Some people love a bad girl. That and I had the plot back me up the whole time and beat you down emotionally. Kieran:......but what if I become the bad guy? Will i get the respect i deserve then? Worth a shot. Carmine: wait, i didn't want this. Wtf- The dlc in a nutshell. Bet he'll steal the spotlight while carmine regrets her actions in part 2
At first, I thought the student with the red tank was a relative to Kieran and Carmine, I thought it was like their cousin. Now that I saw the ending, I feel like it is Kieran.
cant wait for that pink hair girl im more interested in that than Kieran revenge part 2. The best way to hurt him is use all the legendary pokemon including ogrepon in his face to defeat him
Something tells me that he put the player on a space high pedestal and he feels that he'll always fall back to the ground and never reach them.... now he'll try other ways when it's time to go to Blueberry Academy.... couldn't they've picked a cooler fruity name...
We all were told that He's obsessed with Ogerpon (who is just the cutest legendary, FIGHT ME!!) and it isnt much of a secret since his family pretty much knows how much he wants to meet her, so when we (The Player) asks "Are you enjoying the festival?/ That's a cool mask." It's a sign that Ogerpon has come to a liking because of the character's genuine heart to be kind after it was shunned for decades or centuries, taking a liking to us. Kirean would've been kind to her (Ogerpon) but be scared by his obsession, probably because of the Loyal 3 if the roles were reversed. Even though Carmine has a tendency to be mean to her little brother, it's how an older sibling acts, showing that Kirean shouldn't be so nervous. And keeping the fact that She and the player met Ogerpon was something that ticked him off. He wanted Ogerpon to himself, going as far as to battling you for the Pokemon without regarding her feelings on choosing the player. (Anyone else getting the vibes that same desire is what a Pokemon Villain wants, getting the legendary despite what Pokemon's feelings are??) What he thought was the strength instead of the sympathy of Ogerpon, why he wants to become stronger. (My theory is that He becomes a major villain. He ignores the player's arrival and could only think of the jealousy. Carmine will be happy to see your arrival but no Kirean, she'll tell you that hes been acting a lot more distant than usual which is scaring her a little since All he could think is how weak he is. We can get a perspective of the other students on what they think of him, but they all feel like he has changed, probably a bit more snappy than his sister.... Near at the end of the game, you would find Kirean and Terapagos but something is off when you meet him again....He whispers about finally being stronger....Finally going to show how strong he is...Carmine and the other 4 leauge students (As well as the player) see Kirean wanting to challenge Player in a battle, whoever wins gets Terapagos but showing that he has that malicious smile. Maybe in the battle, he can tell his sister that he is finally stronger! No longer is he the weak child but the students and his sister tell him that he was never weak, but alone and he isnt alone anymore 》I like to imagine having the Volo theme in the background of this battle《. After beating him, he's frustrated on why he keeps losing! Everyone came up to him and said they're worried about him...strength isnt always everything. He doesn't need to prove that he's the strongest to them... He just has to accept that He is who he is. Carmine will apologize for her taunts back then. They were her way of expressing how she wants Kirean to get out of his shell and go out to the world and show how capable he is. He may not believe it at first but she expresses her genuine feelings for her little brother and she'll do better with the emotional stuff...Something that he never seem to get from her so it's a big surprise for him and he'll apologize to the player for letting the power get to him back then...He feels stupid but he learns a lesson. He may need time to rethink what he did, but he will do better) 👆 But hey, thats just me.
i think u are right about that the sisters reason was also a fear that he would become evil or a villian if he actually met Ogrepon which became through when they met
For someone who went threw all of the dlc right up to the last battle (didn’t feel like finishing it) Looked on serebi, got ALOT of the levels wrong :( The levels are surprisingly scaled to where you can go to a point where it’s 20s leave and come back First battles the levels are 12/13 Second early level 20s Third one Late level 20s “ace is level 28 I believe” Miotic was level 30 When you take on the jerk 3, carmine “bimbo” had level 28 Final battle WOH BOI IT JUMPED “level 38-45” or even higher that was the one I didn’t finish
A lot of people playing through it already finished the main game. In That case the levels start at around 60 and end at 75. Unfortunately, many people also have a full team of level 100s that they tackle 7* raids with so it's all kinda trivialized.
@@Bladehound83I got wildly lucky and found 2 shinies instantly, so I had my team be those 2, my starter, and 3 slots for new pokemon to evolve. I ended with the remaining slots having Ogrepon, BM Ursalana, and a shiny Ludicolo. I'll bring em to Indigo Disk without further training.

I find Scarlet's / Violet's story (main game and DLCs) so much more interesting than Sword / Shield's. The OST is also stellar, like always. Sadly, I don't think I'll be buying the games, since they still run like hell. They would've been a masterpiece if they had performed like Legends Arceus or SwSh, at least. That's the one thing that keeps me away from these games.
Tbh most of the BIG bugs happen when playing multiplayer. Hell my own game ran smoothly the entirety of the story arc. all i got were a few slow downs and fps drops, but it ran smoothly
If not for the performance issues, these very well might be the best entries in the mainline series, at least imo. And tbh, most of my playthrough was devoid of bugs (though lag and lighting issues were clearly present in certain parts of the game)

Of course someone named Kieran would fall to darkness. Its in his name's meaning after all the "Little dark"
I didn't know that! 😨
Kieran is like a walking Black and White reference. Named Kieran, wears white. Uses an apple based (NYC = Big Apple) pokemon who is most likely going to evolve again in part two of the DLC (which takes place in an academy in Unova).
Yup it does, at least partly.
*_What-_*
In most other languages Carmine and Kieran are puns on "redcurrant" and "blackcurrant", but in English they just went with Carmine, meaning crimson, and Kieran, meaning dark.
I can't believe he left the walk god
Didn't he also always open with Sentret/Furret? Because aw, since he'd always kiss (?) the pokéball before throwing it each battle, I guess he was really attached it to it. Hope the furry noodle is fine then :(
Consider that Furret knows and egg move. It is likely the Pokémon he’s had the longest, or at least raised from birth. He abandons it for power.

Ah Kieran is Pokemons Peter Parker

@@MyDragonDestroyer64my take was it may have been a mix of both
@MyDragonDestroyer64 in game briar said that there were rumors that the crystal pool allows you to see the dead, so it has to be terrastal energy of some kind that likely caused his change in personality (the professor becoming obsessed with the time machine powered by terrastal energy) and reviving the loyal three
@@duskthegamer4129 Well he must have gone to it multiple times since Carmine also went to it and doesn’t seem to have suffered any ill effects.

Say what you will about scarlet and violet but the writing for the characters and stories are really good and they’ve been crossing new territories than any other installment, final threat is the Professor, traveling with all your rivals at the same time, and now the timid sidekick rival who became a psycho antagonist.
That's for me the great positive point from Scarlet-Violet: now characters have a story and became reliable for the player. They're not simple pnj
I love on how Him and Carmine change their personalities agiants the player
@@mirandamartin4001 tbh he was not trying that hard i think Carmines cooler
This is certainly sound, however, it doesn't change the fact that we still contributed to a problem that we have to deal later. That lie still had ramifications that only made things worse. No matter the intentions, it's often the pathway to a dark road. Carmine shouldn't have lied, even though she didn't have proof of Orgepon's innocence. (Being fair, that lie came from the grandfather and she and the player had respect his wishes)
We can only speculate on Kieran's origins of where his ego originated.

It's scary but yet kinda sad 😥
Also my gosh, i can't stand with the fact in how carmine doesn't care that much of how her brother isn't mentally ok 😠
The fact he only said "figures" after losing is both tragic and chilling

Poor guy is running on the gen 9 AI... He will never be good 😢
My only complaint with this whole sequence of events is that it feels like our relationship with the siblings is a bit rushed.

The "don't come to school tomorrow" meme is really funny with SV because you basically do anything BUT go to school after the tutorial.
Something tells me that he put the player on a space high pedestal and he feels that he'll always fall back to the ground and never reach them.... now he'll try other ways when it's time to go to Blueberry Academy.... couldn't they've picked a cooler fruity name...
I agree. The Paldean schools don't share the names of the fruits on their crest. I don't see why that has to.
@@kyndrablankenship1758They do share the names, just in Spanish.
@@crycrisis4788 I thought Uva was short for Ultraviolet A.
@@kyndrablankenship1758 🤨no, both academies are named after the fruit in Spanish. Naranja and Uva.
@@MikeTheEnforcer Oh. Well the first time I googled the meaning it gave me the other answer.
We all were told that He's obsessed with Ogerpon (who is just the cutest legendary, FIGHT ME!!) and it isnt much of a secret since his family pretty much knows how much he wants to meet her, so when we (The Player) asks "Are you enjoying the festival?/ That's a cool mask."
It's a sign that Ogerpon has come to a liking because of the character's genuine heart to be kind after it was shunned for decades or centuries, taking a liking to us.
(Anyone else getting the vibes that same desire is what a Pokemon Villain wants, getting the legendary despite what Pokemon's feelings are??)
What he thought was the strength instead of the sympathy of Ogerpon, why he wants to become stronger.
He may need time to rethink what he did, but he will do better)
👆 But hey, thats just me.
It does look like he'll have a big role in part 2.
Nice theory ❤
Okay, look. Ogerpon is adorable, but you've clearly forgotten Shaymin (normal form).
i think u are right about that the sisters reason was also a fear that he would become evil or a villian if he actually met Ogrepon which became through when they met
The Indigo Disk is sounding and looking very promising
For someone who went threw all of the dlc right up to the last battle (didn’t feel like finishing it)
Looked on serebi, got ALOT of the levels wrong :(
The levels are surprisingly scaled to where you can go to a point where it’s 20s leave and come back
First battles the levels are 12/13
Second early level 20s
Third one Late level 20s “ace is level 28 I believe”
Miotic was level 30
When you take on the jerk 3, carmine “bimbo” had level 28
Final battle WOH BOI IT JUMPED “level 38-45” or even higher that was the one I didn’t finish
@@Bladehound83tbh even with high levels he still put up a good fight
White thingy on his eyes disappear when he is mad
You know a character is evil when theres no shine in their eyes lol
I mean think about it...he's the only one that stood up for ogrepon for years while everyone else in the village cast him away, then some kid comes out of nowhere, finds ogrepon within a day, befriends him and pretty much takes him away. Can't blame Kieran for being spiteful 😂
Ogerpon is a girl
Bro entered his villain arc 💀
N (Xenoblade) would be proud...if he wasn't busy being completely insane himself.
Kieran reminds me Princess Luna for some reason. I mean Celestia was a good sister despites her mistake from the past and the incident that her young sister became Nightmare Moon, while Carmine well she is a kinda a... well how to explain that?
Also, Kieran means "Little Dark" too
@@amandamakin1542 😨 We already lost him 😔
Kieran enacted revenge on us by killing the framerate, and that is canon now.
Boy went from WOWZERS 😃 to FIGHT ME 😡
At the end he's like "Don't come to Blueberry Academy tomorrow.."
Gonna bet Brair manipulates Kieran in the 2nd DLC. And Terapagos will be part of Kieran's team similar to Volo with Giratina.
After defeating Volo, he did promise that he would be back one day.....
@@PokemonChampionAquavenus no, not him! Please tell there is anorher alternative for Kieran, Volo may destroy me but NEVER to Kieran!
@@fionabarraza4304ITS TOO LATE YOU ALL STOLE HIS WAIFU SO HE STOLE YA SOULS
@@genocidebob3273 What do you mean stole? Once again Ogerpon isn't a trophy or toy, can't force a pokemon to like you.
@@MikeTheEnforcer its a joke can't a man just flipping joke around I meant they kinda took his change of ever being FRIENDS whit ogerpon I know she has feeling and not object but imagine you're self in Kieran place you been a shy timid guy you're sister a bitch then you you find out ya favorite pokemon was framed and it's enemy's are seen as hero while she banished then you're best friend lies whit ya sister about finding the pokemon then continue to conspire Againts you and even when you clear ogerpon name and everything she became friends whit the trainer protagonist and does not even do anything to at least say thank you to Kieran
Kieran before our journey: so i listen to taylor swift, and olivia
Kieran after our journey: let the bodies hit the floor. let Carmine hit the FLOOOOOOOOOOOOR
We will finally get a proper villain? So the Geeta, Clavell, the Parent who left, Jacq theory train can be crushed?
It's hard to say who is pulling the strings and who are the puppets now. Brair wants to spread Tera crystals across the regions and Kieran wants revenge.
Who knows maybe it’s multiple but I HIGHLY doubt Clavell
Especially after everything he’s done to avoid that claim
Geeta, parent who left, Jacq LITERALLY HAVING the paradox Pokémon in the dex and Kieran o their other hand
I think its a character we've yet to meet.
Imagine if the parent that didn't appear (sada for violet. Turo for scarlet) teams up with him and briar so ypu penny arven nemona qnd carmine have to stop them
@@SchadoVA what about the teacher that made us search for the treasures of ruin
I find Scarlet's / Violet's story (main game and DLCs) so much more interesting than Sword / Shield's. The OST is also stellar, like always. Sadly, I don't think I'll be buying the games, since they still run like hell. They would've been a masterpiece if they had performed like Legends Arceus or SwSh, at least. That's the one thing that keeps me away from these games.
Tbh most of the BIG bugs happen when playing multiplayer. Hell my own game ran smoothly the entirety of the story arc. all i got were a few slow downs and fps drops, but it ran smoothly
@@blue_lux Same dude
If not for the performance issues, these very well might be the best entries in the mainline series, at least imo. And tbh, most of my playthrough was devoid of bugs (though lag and lighting issues were clearly present in certain parts of the game)
@@blue_luxyea i had 1 or 2 bugs my whole gameplay only thing i had a bit was what you said
@@kuks0453its a damn shame honestly keeps ppl away from the game for understandable reasons
