This is honestly where Final Fantasy 15 shined the most. The interactions between the characters and the character development. Scenes like this one made us care about the characters more. We got to know them all on a personal level and their journey together was far better and far more memorable because of that. This was something the Final Fantasy 13 games severely lacked. We didn't get anytime to really get to know the characters which resulted in most of them being pretty bland and because of that, we didn't really care too much what happened to them.
@@thessk_1 Actually there's a LOT of moments like this one in the game. They're just not in the *main story campaign.* The whole jist of FFXV is the journey made along the way, not the destination. There's a reason why you can go back to previous places and do everything you can in each one.
The cast of XIII was phenomenal if you think that they weren't on a personal level then you didn't play the games. Now what XV does better is that the bros truly felt like life long friends but you do have to consider that XIII cast was thrown together due to their circumstances and formed a bond.

Did you finish the game? He does'nt have any self stemm issues, he felt like this because he was from nifelheim, a test subject for magiktek, he managed to escape and was insecure because he did'nt want anyone to know he's story, that's why he was so lonely and shy.
If this scene happened 20 years ago, would be probably one of the most memorable scenes ever in the franchise. The music, the depth... it's pure Final Fantasy, reminds me of Tifa and Cloud conversations of the past...

What’s cool is that out of everyone, prompto is the only one who met Noctis and is there by choice. Gladiolus and Ignis were already there in the beginning and worked for the royal family to help Noctis. Prompto was not, he was a regular person who only knew Noctis because of school, but was able to Will himself to become friends with him and eventually became one of Noctis best friends. He’s also prob the one keeping. Noctis sane
True ! Prompto is there like you said by choice, not because he made an oath to be Noct's shadow. And he's really the heart of the group. Without him I don't think the game would have been so funny. It is good that Noct has this kind of friend in Prompto.

To think that he still has insecurities left in him after spending years working out to gain confidence to befriend noctis. Honestly the best thing about Prompto as a character is that he's the most relatable character out of the four, and many can relate to him. Seeing this scene knowing the context like Prompto's origin and backstory really make the player emotionally attached to him

Well I know a friend of mine who usually acts cheerfully, friendly and nicely but he/she actually thinks he/she is a nothing and sometimes can feel depressed or even lonely. Also when my friend was young, he/she was super shy and did not have any real friends. So I can kinda understand how Prompto feels.
Not going to lie. After Noctis said, "You're good enough for me", if he grabbed Prompto by the chin and kissed him, I wouldn't have blinked an eye. That isn't what their relationship is about, but I wouldn't have been opposed...
It honestly shows just how well they bounce off each other to the point we think it would make sense if they got together. Say what you will about FFXV, but the characterization of its main four is some of the best in the series.

Sadly the only reasons why we'll never have video games like this where characters are exclusively gay is because people are idiots and have internal issues with their own sexuality and end up making that dumbass excuse that if they play as an openly gay male character (cuz let's be honest, this conversation is almost never coming up when the gay character is a female cuz of every fan boy's lesbian fantasy), then they'll want to suck some dick. For many straight people though, the truth is if you've never been intrigued by the idea of being with someone of the opposite sex, then you never will and usually won't be bothered by a gay character (USUALLY). Luna barely escaped Insomnia with the Ring of the Lucii which she had to deliver to Noctis, instead she went on a social visit to each of the Astrals, only to end up dying to the third one, because the latter thought herself the more real deal than Luna was. "Hey Noctis while I was chatting up with the gods, I completely forgot to bring you the ring, here take it, now excuse me, I must die, because the plot wants me dead so you can go after some crazy dude with a hat..." "But we've only just arrived." "Sorry, plot, plot, plot, gonna die now, here's a flower to remember me by, kthnxbye."
A Ghost Without a Past Accurate. What a waste of a character. I had hoped that after what Nyx told her she would wake up and develop as a character, but no it seems.
Emy Also, according to some theories I've been reading about Ardyn, they only further strengthen the fact that Luna was just a sacrificial lamb, for Noctis to go after him. (Basically, Ardyn might have been bluffing the whole time about getting his revenge by killing Noctis, and it was actually the other way around.) I don't really blame Nomura for all this messy plot, I blame Square for developing the game alongside other flagship titles at the same time that had their very own development hell.
10 Bit if seeing this makes you want to play the game, then you will have an incredible time playing through the story and watching the 4 friend’s journey unfold
I remember getting this moment, and it’s because of this that Prompto became my favorite character, I love all 4 of them but this changed how I viewed Prompto entirely.
Man I can relate to Prompto a lot. I know what it feels like to feel inferior to other people, or left out. If he was real, I feel like we would get along really well.
Prompto has such a positive message to his character: sure, things can some completely down and out, but if you can make one small positive change, don't you think another might happen? Save a dog, find a hobby (running), punch out of your shell and make a friend. The world just gets bigger from there, you know? Keep on keepin' on everyone!
Thus is the real love story of the game, if watched out if context anyone would think that they are professing their love for eachother, hell even with context it seems that way.
Every time I watch this and I listen to prompto's voice his words, man they hurt, Because it's exactly how I feel every day, there are definitely reasons why especially no real friends, part of that's really I feel been Because I chose to be myself I chose to be the real me and when I did that people refused to accept the real me, it hasn't made me think twice about being anyone other than myself but it does still hurt, yes I would rather have real friends than fake friends, but still eventually you can't ignore the loneliness one can feel when it's just an inescapable feeling, eventually it's just undeniable
This is my favorite part of the game. Prompto was so relatable. Him opening up was like he was talking through me. I felt this. “Remember that I don’t belong but I want to. Every moment I am desperate to earn my place. To prove that I am good enough.” With social anxiety this loser felt normal after this convo. Thanks Prompto 🙏🏻
Just saw this scene today, never thought I would live to see someone who mirrors myself so well prompto is me in every aspect of atleast this scene no real friends, feeling worthless everything prompto says here sums it up perfectly. I only wish I could have the heart to actually say all this stuff to people I actually know but I just don't I feel like this is a burden I have to or need to carry myself until my final days whenever that might be I wish I could talk to people I know the way prompto does to noctis but I feel if I did I would get more criticism or talked down too rather than any sympathy or understanding. If my destiny is to carry this with me forever without anyone knowing atleast I can know I left it here in one spot people can see.
Sidenote, Noctis obtusely confirmed that he didn't care that Prompto was fat by saying they should have been friends as kids. Prompto's whole conflict back then was that he felt unworthy to be with Noctis because Noctis called him heavy and he held off on interacting until he was thinner. But Noctis wouldn't have cared if he was a thin bishie or a chubby bara, he would have been his best friend anyway.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the game. I really relate to Prompto, but I sadly don't have any friends as close as this. I'd like to have my own chocobros group but no one wants to talk to me. I always feel inferior to everyone else because of this. I guess this is why I like Prompto so much, I can see myself in him.

Many times I've tried to become a part of a group... That has been my dream since childhood... but it never worked out, either because of my shitty personality, or because people just never saw me as one of them... I met a group of people a few years ago and I like to think that I'm one of them... but I know I'm not... I know I'll never truly become a part of a group of people who all know me and love me for who I am... I relate to Prompto so much here...

Sadly the only reasons why we'll never have video games like this where characters are exclusively gay is because people are idiots and have internal issues with their own sexuality and end up making that dumbass excuse that if they play as an openly gay male character (cuz let's be honest, this conversation is almost never coming up when the gay character is a female cuz of every fan boy's lesbian fantasy), then they'll want to suck some dick. For many straight people though, the truth is if you've never been intrigued by the idea of being with someone of the opposite sex, then you never will and usually won't be bothered by a gay character (USUALLY). The others who have feelings of curiosity or an actual experience and can't fucking deal with it, project their insecurities A LOT.

It's hard for me to ship Noctis with anyone mostly because of what happens between him and Luna in the very end....
+NightEnigma8 Personally, I have no problem omitting what happens, because the story is completely dumb for so many reasons. Noctis/Luna was doomed to fail when they created Luna's sacrificial lamb character. There was so many problems it couldn't never work. It was so predictable.
The story was indeed a complete mess, it made lots of stuff that happened in Kingsglaive seem pointless.
Luna barely escaped Insomnia with the Ring of the Lucii which she had to deliver to Noctis, instead she went on a social visit to each of the Astrals, only to end up dying to the third one, because the latter thought herself the more real deal than Luna was.
"Hey Noctis while I was chatting up with the gods, I completely forgot to bring you the ring, here take it, now excuse me, I must die, because the plot wants me dead so you can go after some crazy dude with a hat..."
"But we've only just arrived."
"Sorry, plot, plot, plot, gonna die now, here's a flower to remember me by, kthnxbye."
A Ghost Without a Past Accurate. What a waste of a character. I had hoped that after what Nyx told her she would wake up and develop as a character, but no it seems.
Emy Also, according to some theories I've been reading about Ardyn, they only further strengthen the fact that Luna was just a sacrificial lamb, for Noctis to go after him.
(Basically, Ardyn might have been bluffing the whole time about getting his revenge by killing Noctis, and it was actually the other way around.)
I don't really blame Nomura for all this messy plot, I blame Square for developing the game alongside other flagship titles at the same time that had their very own development hell.

Every time I watch this and I listen to prompto's voice his words, man they hurt, Because it's exactly how I feel every day, there are definitely reasons why especially no real friends, part of that's really I feel been Because I chose to be myself I chose to be the real me and when I did that people refused to accept the real me, it hasn't made me think twice about being anyone other than myself but it does still hurt, yes I would rather have real friends than fake friends, but still eventually you can't ignore the loneliness one can feel when it's just an inescapable feeling, eventually it's just undeniable

This is my favorite part of the game. Prompto was so relatable. Him opening up was like he was talking through me. I felt this. “Remember that I don’t belong but I want to. Every moment I am desperate to earn my place. To prove that I am good enough.” With social anxiety this loser felt normal after this convo. Thanks Prompto 🙏🏻
Just saw this scene today, never thought I would live to see someone who mirrors myself so well prompto is me in every aspect of atleast this scene no real friends, feeling worthless everything prompto says here sums it up perfectly. I only wish I could have the heart to actually say all this stuff to people I actually know but I just don't I feel like this is a burden I have to or need to carry myself until my final days whenever that might be I wish I could talk to people I know the way prompto does to noctis but I feel if I did I would get more criticism or talked down too rather than any sympathy or understanding. If my destiny is to carry this with me forever without anyone knowing atleast I can know I left it here in one spot people can see.
Sidenote, Noctis obtusely confirmed that he didn't care that Prompto was fat by saying they should have been friends as kids. Prompto's whole conflict back then was that he felt unworthy to be with Noctis because Noctis called him heavy and he held off on interacting until he was thinner. But Noctis wouldn't have cared if he was a thin bishie or a chubby bara, he would have been his best friend anyway.
