@@16driver16 there are 150cc horizontal cylinder "cub style" engines out there that make 17+ horsepower (stock). These engines are definately capable. Also this channel is not about absolute power. No need to make everything a deathtrap. And by the way cc does matter very much. The more cc means the cylinder can ingest more air and thus have more oxygen in order to burn more fuel. Though i agree that these cheap chinese motors are much lower quality compared to any honda outta there

They have a 190cc too and it's the WORST OF THEIR CT70s to ride because of said engine!!!they have power but it's useless on these machines and it's not fun to ride!!! I've had DOZENS of hondas of every size and year and minibikes and pitbikes I've had it all and the ones that were the most fun were hobda based engines the hopped up crap is faster and more powerful and vibration riddled and unreliable and GARBAGE!!!
You guys should definitely put another motor in the bike it's a complete bike. Those bikes are pretty tough, and that bike actually fits Ike pretty well 👌
Great video! Reminds me when I was about 11 yrs old. I mowed yards and finally had enough money to buy the neighbors old minibike. I got it home and tore the engine down and put back together and mounted back int he frame. went to the gas station and bought oil for her but, when i got home my step dad told me before I go riding the minibike I had to mow our yard.... I am on the other side of the yard and I see my stepdad with my little cousin go cruising by on my minibike just in time to see it seize and make a loud POP! They did not put the oil in....I never got to ride that bike, it set out in the shed waiting on the engine that never came... Dont think too bad of the situation, he bought me a 68 beetle and the baja fiberglass kit to build my first car the following year! After rebuilding that engine he did ask me if it was ready and ask before starting it!! lol
My first car was a 68 Baja bug. I bought it with my own money when I was 15 so it must have been 1992 it was for sale at a used car lot for $900 the dealer gave me a ride to the country let me drive it for a few miles and he drove it back to the shop. I offered him $800 and he said because it was my own money he’d take $700 I couldn’t get it out of my pocket quick enough.
It's actually a collection of trophy and award pieces/parts for Busco Beach 2023, in a handy rolling pit bike carrying case‼👍 Boys, giving this bike an engine transplant (190cc please!!), some new tires, and a full Cars and Cameras decal livery for the plastics would be absolutely epic! That’s the Tbolt 184cc big bore kit with big valve head and everything. You should get a stock yx150/160 and swap the top end on it. It’s a beast then. I recently rebuild on, all parts come from tbolt. PLEASE DON’T TRASH IT! Loved the content on this video!!!
Pit bikes are so much fun! Would be cool to see dirt wheels and tires on that bike. I wonder if a 19" front, 16" rear wheel setup would fit? That bike is worth fixing up and riding, seems pretty solid with some nice parts.
A torch blown in the exhaust and intake ports pointed at the valve stems with the cam removed and valve springs still on the head will straighten and even fix the bent valves, the valve springs will pull the valves shut while the stem is red hot. This is a proven oldschool trick of the trade that i have personally done before and it does work.. so the head is able to be saved.
sweet bike, not sure if u want to swap a engine....or rebuild. sounded awesome! I think it would be amazing to see this rebuilt better. I know it's a challenge, but u guys can do this with out even thinking about it!

Looks like the same failure the old sdg bikes used to have the 108 Motors the stress from the high compression on the Kickstart gear would Crack the Case just like that crank mount a clutch same thing that's what pretty much killed those bikes love your channel keep up the good work boys

Minimising heat distirtion from welding, and then re-machining every feature while keeping alignment perfect between 2 separate case halves. And completely re-shimming all internals (including some new ones) afterwards. It can be done, but it will take some MAJOR skill, and wouldn't exactly be an economical solution while these engines are a dime a dozen... I'd fix up the big-bore kit though; stick some nice stainless valves in there with some decent springs and retainers, and save stuff like oil coolers, ignition, and intake and exhaust parts for another engine. Roller has some really nice brake and suspension parts to it, so well worth keeping in my opinion.
Seems to be a trend, Jon and Charles put in the work and Isaak comes in and takes the glory sometimes....Love to see Charles get more credit sometimes. Hate me if you like.
My buddy had one these it’s a 155cc engine came that size stock. You still get replacement engines online for them. Thing rips and pull my over weight self around easy!! I’d definitely try find a replacement engine for it cause it actually makes a lot power!

I use to part out sport bikes and the two items I used my impact driver on the most were the rotor bolts and brake/clutch reservoirs. Most rotor bolts would come out with heat.
Hey guys great content as always! I’ve got a suggestion …or two for you.. How about welding the left side of the crankshaft back on seeing that it looked flat. … Also try JB Welding the case. I recently JB welded a case on a GY6 engine ….long story I can share later anyway….the eNgine is not a lost cause yet!
That's a Cool bike frame really good. Need to see if you can get a engine that will fit into the room that's available and put it back on the road and maybe put some gears back into it also.

Dude, I worked at a shop that sold Pitsters and other RPS stuff, as well as Lifan bikes and engines. They're actually pretty great bikes for what they are. It's worth a new case
Street tires were the best choice for cold dusty asphalt. A more aggressive compound would be useless because it would never get up to temp and if it did they would just pick up more dust. They probably could have aired down to 15 psi to get a little more traction.
Its a 160cc cos of the tappet cover and cam chain sprocket cover and the cam chain tensioner on the barrel/bore. 💯💯💯👍👍👊👊 thay rip and are grate fun I've got a 140cc
Not sure about now, but parts used to be pretty cheap for those bikes. Like $250 for complete new assembled motor from pitster pro. But there’s a reason they were cheap lol. I had a 140 with dirt tires. Was incredible what it would do til it blew up.

Very cool little bike! Lots of get up and go, for sure. But by adding ‘go-fast’ parts it was more or less condemned to fail. It’s simply metallurgy. I worked for Honda Canada (advertising) back in the nineties and I remember they were getting complaints from their go-cart engine users when Honda small engines -formerly made in Japan - were manufactured off-shore in South Korea. Same designs, but different quality steel and aluminum. NFG when pushed to the limit...and beyond.
probably can fit the jug on another engine if you have the cases machined for it , you guys have quite a few of these engines and i bet you can get one running again with a new set of valves and a better crank (original honda?) realy like how that bike looks and it would be a shame not to get it intoo a working machine again , its the perfect grocery getter for the schoolbus (well that and a backpack to put the groceries intoo)
140/160/190 pitbikes are pretty common engines in some, depending on model here in the UK. Ebay/Alibaba is gonna be your best best for a Chinese 160cc engine, they're just cheap fun bikes
They're among the best of the Chinese pit bikes. Might as well go ahead and put a Tillitson on it and have fun with it. A replacement 140 is around 650-700$
You guys should get a Shake And Break. It's basically a screwdriver that hooks onto an air-chisel so you can break loose screws like the screws on the stater you showed in the video.
Ya guys know that the 190 from the Yard Dart will fit right into that bike frame, right? Plus you can get new valves for that head, and a 110 or 125cc bottom end and rebuild it cheaply!
If you end up parting it out or anything my son could use any kind of parts he could get he got a SSR 110 that is pretty much stripped out all it has is a good motor
I'm really digging the frame etc... I'd drop a different motor in that for sure

Valves are worth bugger all. Especially on a cheap engine like this. Would bother with backyard hacks.

The engine number is stamped on a pad below the shift shaft. It should give you info on the original cc’s of the engine.

A dedicated shop possibly could. welding cast aluminum , remanufacturing bearing race bosses, a LOT of in depth steps.

Quick engine fix . Weld some tubing and motor plate. Then install a predator motor. Make great suspension mini bike for sure.
Pit bikes on the street are a whole other level of fun. Get that thing plated, throw another motor in it and laugh every time you rip it 🤙🤙

I’d say the top end was stock. GPX makes a 160cc engine, it can be purchased online.

I have the exact same bike they're known for snap and cranks. You can put an upgraded crank in it and a big bore up to a 212cc

The X4 is a great pitster pro chassis, and the yx160 is able to put out some power with the proper carb and head.
