- This video is about my monetization journey. I started my channel and published my first video on RUclips in June 2022 and after that, things went really fast and I managed to get monetized in the beginning of August 2022. I talk about the analytics of my first video and of my channel, how much I earned my first month of being monetized on RUclips, realistic channel growth, the RUclips algorithm, tips to make your videos to perform better, what worked for me and much more.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 879 subs and > 600 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@KatjaNordkvist Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RUclips channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RUclipsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this RUclips thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! My story for those wanting to hear other people's story. I did RUclips for about 2.5 years without successfully becoming monetized (but I do have 1348 subs, 2128 watch hours in the past 365 days, and 5661 lifetime watch hours)I threw in the towel in Aug 2022, but plan to restart in 2023 for a while to try and get monetized again 🙃

I definitely also believe in quality over quantity when it comes to the videos I upload and I think most people on RUclips can succeed with their channel if they’re willing to put in the time and effort and remember to celebrate the small victories along the road. That's exciting! First of all, I had no idea English wasn't your first language. Funny, as I type my wife is flying over the Atlantic Ocean right now, returning from a trip to Finland. I'm leaving shortly to meet her. This is one of the best examples I have seen about beginning RUclips monetization. I've subscribed and will be looking forward to watching more.

Started uploading videos in Spanish three months ago and it's hard 😢
It’s super hard! It can take a long time 🤍 I got some great advice from another video recently which is everytime you make a new video you should focus on making that video 1% better than your last video. That has really helped me to accept that my videos don’t have to be perfect, instead I can focus on learning from past editing mistakes and enjoying “the ride” while I create content that I genuinely love. I hope this helps!

You’re welcome! I think what I meant was that you can create your AdSense account before you apply for monetization, if that makes sense 😅 so you’re totally ready to apply for monetization as soon as you hit the requirements 😊

you made an error, you don't need to reach both targets 1 subscribers 1000 and 4000 watch hours within a year. You only need to make the 4000 watch hours within a year... the subcribers could be from 2 years ago. It doesn't matter...

Yes. It would definitely be more fair if you got the revenue for those views as well as soon as you got monetized!
