Long known for being the king of sales within the midsize 3-row luxury SUV segment, the #Acura #MDX gets a new sporty #ASpec model for 2019. Slotting between a Tech and Advance package, the A-Spec trim adds unique styling front and rear, a slightly tweaked interior, and a couple of new features. It makes an already attractive SUV even more appealing but if Acura wants the MDX to remain the sales king, a full redo of the interior and powertrain will be necessary.

Morning everyone! We realize the over exposure is set far too high in some scenes of this video. Still tinkering around with the settings on the new DSLR camera but we'll be sure to not make that mistake again! Thanks for watching as always and be sure to let us know below if you think the MDX is still the King of the 3-row luxury SUV segment!

Naveen Krishnamurthy Toyota’s V6 are a bit quieter but is also a bit slower than Honda’s V6, the smoothness is because of the transmissions, Honda’s transmission are all ways made with a bit of sportiness and quick shifting, Toyota’s transmission specially the 6 speed auto with the V6 is a very smooth combo, the new 8 speed auto is terrible😓

I still have the 2001 MDX, 235k miles and still going strong, everything is holding up well! It's interesting to see how the vehicle evolved over the years. My 2001 MDX is a basic car compared to what is now available, but still drives well in all weather conditions, and the utility for carry people and stuff is still excellent. When my MDX falls apart, I'll definitely consider the new version of the MDX!

I'm pretty sure the MDX lacks the 4 corner air suspension, a pano-sunroof, automatic self-parking, semi-autonomous driver assistance tech, etc. Basically the features and options that are expected in the 3 row luxury SUV segment.

my favorite auto reviewer. you have a great style, delivery... great job. I think would be great to add a DB meter test in some of the luxury cars to show differences in isolation and quietness. I bought a 2007 MDX in 2009, and was very disappointed in the lack of isolation of sound in the interior. I think they have improved though from what im reading but wonder if Lexus for eg is better in the GX 460 or RX350
Its too bad the Aspec it just visual upgrades and nothing at all mechanical.
Also, what a disappointment they didnt filter down the RDX nav in the MDX for 2019. The RDX is better overall.

Many people don’t understand on older versions of cars for example the MDX they can’t just add a panoramic roof on a refresh model because it’s structural, they would have to redesign the roof and side body panels which would defeat the point of a refresh, it’s not a redesign, on the redesigned model it will most likely have a pano.

I feel like I would appreciate a slightly more definitive position on these cars. Meaning I like when you say "If I needed a 3rd row SUV for under 55k Dollars, I would pick the MDX but also test drive the T5 AWD XC90" If I had more to spend I'd go for the T6 XC90 because I like the looks, tech, added power etc.
I'm looking at the RDX and your segment with Alex on the RDX/Stelvio/XC60 was great because you made those distinctions at the end.
