Great video on that machine. The wife and I, presently living in MD, have rural property in west TN and are building a log and timber frame home on it. Can't wait to get out of suburbia! We're talking about what kind of toys we'll to manage the land etc. We've looked at many of these vehicles. The Bighorn looks to be solid but it does have the belt transmission. That's the only thing I don't like about the majority of them. The Honda side by sides use a shaft drive system which is pretty much bullet proof and they are decently priced. We looked at a loaded Talon for around 21k and a well set up Pioneer for around 20k. Lot's to think about. Live well brother!
You will be in my neck of the woods in TN. Honda makes an outstanding unit that is super refined. I think the Bighorns are compelling for all that comes standard and the price point. A person can buy two Bighorns for the price of one Honda. Still, Honda is Honda!
I think the Bighorn is a very attractive alternative to the more expensive UTVs. In all honesty, even if I had $60,000 to buy one of those high end side by sides, I probably wouldn't do it. It's a very cool side by side! Thank you for sharing, Tony!
I own the Bighorn 550 with cab like yours. The only problem i am experiencing is the starter clutch. I have gone through two of them still under warranty. It seems when ever the engine kicks back at the starter the clutch spins out. Grabs some times and spins out others. Cold weather is worse. Big horn was aware of the problem and designed a stronger clutch. I got one to install but am waiting for warmer weather since I dont have a heated garage. I still suspect that maybe the electronic engine timing is not retarding on start. This will be a bring back to the dealer issue.
It has about half of the engine under the seat and half under the bed. The head and exhaust are under the bed. I guess it's okay because I've never thought about it. It doesn't seem to make the interior any hotter.

Great review I have a massimo tboss the transmission is something I had to get use to. It is my first sxs I try not bang it in gear.
i bought the 550 camo from tractor supply it does come with the roof, front glass and rear view mirror.
I think I was mistaken. Only dealers have the full cab versions, it would seem.

Changed the clutch today. Big difference. No more spinout. Now time will tell if it will kick back at the starter.
i was thinking to get the same one but i dont know if it’ll last up here in alaska like everyday use for work and back home and daily use maybe.
What type of gas does it use? Regular 87 octane or ethanol free boat gas?
It will run 87 ethanol but I run ethanol free with stabilizer. That's just me.
