Ive seen this product and the idea is exactly what Im looking for, except that its not wide enough! It should really go edge to edge. The edges are where my cats are ripping the screen off the door and loosening off the splines to sneak out.
We have a few different sizes on our website here: www.primeline.net/product-categories/window-and-screen-repair/screen-door-grilles Or you can check our PDF catalog. I guess you would put it on the inside because if you put it on the outside, the screen can still rip. But if it's on the inside, then how does the door slide? There's no room for my screen door to slide against the patio door with the grille on. Weird!
@@skye6949 Goes on the outside so the screen door can open and close. I have cats that would rip my screen when they want in. But I have an old piece of Plexiglas that I prop on the inside of the screen to prevent them from scratching when they want out. I can move that freely, no problem.
I’m putting mine on the actual door, not the screen insert. Helpful but no info for that procedure. Teach your dogs not to scratch your screen. Mine is for when I hold the door open with my hip when my hands are full.
The how to info is very helpful, although I would choose a size that didn't leave gaps on either side because that's where my cats claw at the screen.
And that's the exact reason I won't buy it.

Are there any screens that are wider, to eliminate the large gaps on the sides? My dog shredded the screen at the openings.

Great video. Thanks!
Awesome
It's so dumb how they left so much space on each side. The dog's paws will rip the screen on each side.
inside or outside of screen ?
Thanks!
Where does the grill go. Outside or inside the door?

has to go on outside so it can slide
