I did not know Thump was such a prolific contributor to the Beatles. Always been a fan of his solo stuff, really cool to see the origin story behind the legend
They've suppressed the truth about Thump (and Faux McCartney) long enough! So glad Peter Jackson had the courage and commercial pull to bring things to light finally.
@@JakobNoone It’s kind of sad that not many people know about him, especially the new generation. He was really great in his prime in the early 60s. Too bad he sacrificed his life to the cult he was in.

_~gigglesnort~_ Oh, James, I am so thankful for your show - you've no idea how much! It means that I can still feel something besides pain. Thank you so very much!

@@JakobNoone it's true enough, but think about it... Thump, Best, Sutcliffe, Preston. They would have been the obvious Beatles. There was just no need for those other guys, and they knew it.
Wonderful skit. I have found James Corden less funny, ever since his performance in Cats but this got me laughing like a kid watching cat videos. 😂😂 This was hilarious and a great parody to a very long and serious documentary.😂 Great work, James Corden and The Late Late Show team.
HOLY SHIT. I spent all day with RUclips open on one screen while I worked on the other and the whole time I saw the thumbnail for this staring back at me and it took until this late hour for me to realize that fetching blond 70s bombshell of a man was JAMES! Great costume.
you are all good because English is your first language. I probably missed a lot, although I translate through a google translator. but still this video is very funny, I watched it with pleasure, thank you! From Russia with respect!
If only they'd listened to Gary, Let It Be could've been the great album it was meant to be... a tragedy that true genius went unrecognised. His triple album of all-original material, released soon after the Beatles break-up, that spent 7 years at Number One, is ample evidence of that.
The lighting and camera setup is perfect. Matches the film. Excellent editing and continuity
😆
The drum kit doesn't match. I'll tell you that much.

This is Fary in the video

5:29: That glance at Paul kills me 😄.
2:24 no THIS IS THE BEST PAUL EXPRESSION EVER😂
Fun fact: on “Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da”, that was Gary’s hands clapping at the beginning
My favourite song.
Yeah
GET BACK!!!! What a great show. Was good seeing the Beatles write their songs

If you turn the subtitles on in the Get Back doc, yokos singing is described as wailing and grunting… the more ya know
"Wailing" seems to be a kind word. "Caterwalling" is more like it.
Should read: “Sound of a whale being slaughtered”
Seeing that closed caption text when I was watching “Get Back” made me laugh harder than this entire video.

The Kumquat.

Gary is also well versed in the art of Ecky Thump.

Cordon (smithy) puts the absurdness of this skit on par with Yoko’s “singing” (screaming noise) . That’s about right.
