I did not know Thump was such a prolific contributor to the Beatles. Always been a fan of his solo stuff, really cool to see the origin story behind the legend
They've suppressed the truth about Thump (and Faux McCartney) long enough! So glad Peter Jackson had the courage and commercial pull to bring things to light finally.
@@JakobNoone It’s kind of sad that not many people know about him, especially the new generation. He was really great in his prime in the early 60s. Too bad he sacrificed his life to the cult he was in.
I watched the full 8 hours of the REAL one and it's a shame they cut this part out.
They were all jealous of Gary.

Yoko almost left John over Gary's creative genius. That's the main reason John insisted on locking those doors over Paul's protestations.
I hate to say it but if Gary was real, he and Yoko would’ve gotten along and John would probably be alive.
I'm more of a Thump fan myself but i must say it's a revelation how much the other 4 members actually contributed to the songs, i have a deeper appreciation for them now even though I like Gary's solo stuff the most
I don't believe that this footage is real!!! Gary Thump had a deadly car accident in 1967 and was replaced with an underground comedian from London who looked a bit like him but couldn't play a note. The man you see here is NOT Gary Thump! GARY IS DEAD.

If you turn the subtitles on in the Get Back doc, yokos singing is described as wailing and grunting… the more ya know
"Wailing" seems to be a kind word. "Caterwalling" is more like it.

I've watched this over a hundred times and I can't stop. This has to be one of the most ridiculously creative pieces of comedy that I have ever seen. Kudos to James and company 👍

Cordon (smithy) puts the absurdness of this skit on par with Yoko’s “singing” (screaming noise) . That’s about right.
Wonderful skit. I have found James Corden less funny, ever since his performance in Cats but this got me laughing like a kid watching cat videos. 😂😂 This was hilarious and a great parody to a very long and serious documentary.😂 Great work, James Corden and The Late Late Show team.
