I’ve followed you for around a year or so and this is the first time I’ve seen you remove a foundation. I’m disappointed that this didn’t work as I have used their sunscreen and been very happy with it. Was looking forward to trying the foundation, but it really looked terrible. Glad for your honest review.

You are a brave, brave, woman. Testing out an unknown foundation before an important day at work is courage on a level I have never aspired to! Also, please don't call your face horrible. Your face is lovely, and we all appreciate it, and you. (Bonus points for reapplying sunscreen too!)

OMG it's so funny that you mention that because I just told that story to a student at work that was interviewing me for something in the student newspaper and they wanted to take a picture! lol I had flashbacks.... gosh that one was so bad. They acted very kind and said no no everything is fine and I was like.... but just please take a couple pictures with me facing away from the camera working on the computer just in case.... and guess which picture they used in the story..... LOLOL ahhh good times.
That's EXACTLY how the Sephora Best Skin Ever looked on my face. The only foundation I chucked in the trash after about 5 tries. I hope you did well on your evaluation and promotion!

I have this makeup and it just sits in a drawer. I can't remember why I didn't like it, perhaps similar reasons to you. Going to toss it out right now. With so many good foundations available why keep the duds. Best wishes for your evaluation. I'm sure you will rock it.

Oh dear, you know what this reminds me of? That Bare Minerals Matte tinted moisturizer that made me so angry I couldn't even use it on my hands! This is DIRE, my friends. My skin isn't particularly dry and had exactly the same result with Etude Double Last. Wanted it to work multiple times and it caked up SO BADLY no matter what. Convinced it's only suitable for teen-age skin. By contrast: LOVE Dior, it's my go-to for a flawless day. So kind to 50+ skin and no settling!
Edit: From Korean brands I do use Clio cushions and Purito BB cream on occasion, they're great if I don't need makeup to be 100% bulletproof for the day. Again, kind to my crinkles!
Iunik calendula cleansing oil is great. Also like Purito daily sunscreen, very moisturizing. So glad you reviewed this foundation as I probably would have tried it. 😊

I was amazed the Dior foundation went on so well, given the removal of the Etude foundation with makeup wipes. It says a lot for Dior.

SMH, oh Shelly, why oh why did you try a new foundation on such an important day?! As @Kasey113 said, you are a brave woman, indeed! I admit, though, your "recovery" and determination to take the day by the horns was positively inspirational! Thanks for a great video and taking one for the team. Interestingly enough, some years ago "Etude House" had a dewy BB cream which was truly beautiful and dry-skin friendly. Perhaps the re-branded "Etude" can revisit that product or create a similar one. This product, however, set off Ziva's cat-senses and she wisely bailed out early on. LOL I hope your day and review went beautifully!

Shelley, regarding your peeling skin, try taking some vitamin B3 and E. I had the same problem and it disappeared after 2 weeks.

Hi Shelley oh dear this was a dud😂. I hope your evaluation went well.
I got a sample of the reformulated Dior face and body. Traditionally I have a love hate relationship with their foundations- love the shade range and hate the high amount of alcohol. The shade 00 in their forever glow is perfect for me but dried my skin out so so badly (looks great when first applied and then terrible within an hour). The F&B only has a 0CR as the lightest shade (a step up from 00), but it works ok shade wise (not perfect like shade 00). However it is not anywhere near as drying as the forever glow and is a nice formula- I am considering buying it and it’s on my wishlist. I also got a sample of the new Mac foundation in shade NW5 which I have still to test out (colour matched on counter btw). I will let you know how I get on with that one. My current favourite is the Givenchy glow however the lightest shade is more of a neutral tone and not a perfect shade match (though it works well enough shade wise). It’s a really beautiful formula though and sits really well on my dry skin. Best wishes x

I see you also use estee lauder dw.I have days that i have very red skin.I am trying to get to look better on my skin but it always looks a bit cakey and it lays a bit on my skin.I use about 2,5 pumps.Is that to much? I have this also with other foundations my skin is a bit dry but not to much X
I usually do a pump and a half of the ELDW. Try a little less and see how it goes! Sometimes I'll also go back after applying it with a brush and just bounce a dry blender sponge around to pick up any excess.

I could actual see the foundation like drying out your skin yikes; which no foundation should do since you had on your skin care - I think I need to try the Dior -I have extremely dry skin and my fav foundation is still Lamer its so expensive but it does not stick to dryness -its thin but the first application brings down redness by 80% and it has skin care in it still I've ben searching for a less expensive foundation and no luck so far although I found a channel that works ok -I love K beauty sunscreen
