damn, i know FRLG had a lot going on in its battle tracks, but having it all sound less blended together really emphasizes how well they took the 8bit stuff and made it sound epic

fun fact:the "8bit" sounds are actually the same exact hardware the original Gameboy had for producing sound, just compacted into a smaller chip which not only made it easier to have backwards compatibility with GB/GBC on GBA but also allowed GBA game devs to have those extra sounds if they so desired

it has new samples for stuff like guitars, drums and keyboards, most of the instrument samples from RS are still in use

I sampled the snare so i dont have to worry about the velocity, but this snare doesnt sound as powerfull as it does in the games. It requires a lot of mixing to get that power snare sound

Incredible work. I always thought this song sounded messy, but restored it might be my favorite version of this song minus HGSS's version. Can't wait to hear what the Gym theme and Blue's theme is like
