    Driftwood was nice enough to send me a Purple Nightmare Head for this review! It's a really great amplifier with an American voicing, but also features a very effective equalizer in both channels.
    My signal chain for this video was:
    Guitar - Purple Nightmare Head - Two Notes Torpedo Live - RME Babyface - into Reaper DAW

    I am in love with this Driftwood amp all of a sudden. Wish I could afford one!

      It took me buying a house, holding it for 6 years, building equity, selling it then I could afford it. Ha!

    I have the Good Fortune of owning this very amp that he's demoing. This belonged to the owner of driftwood and he sold it to me. It's a fire breathing dragon! Just truly remarkable! I have a revv generator 120 and easily it stands up to it. I also have a Peavey vtm 60 which is one of the deadliest sounding amps of its time back in the late 80s. Purple nightmare is magical

    You're the kind of person who just gets what makes a good youtube video. Great editing, great playing, great tunes. And straight to the point. I'm not even playing guitar, but your stuff is very entertaining.

    Where on earth did that bass come from? I could rock a full album of just 74 minutes of a jam of your guitar and this base tone. O.o

    Frank... Bro... You need to release your own solo project. Unless you are just ripping all these riffs and arrangements off from someone, then you have a great ear for all things important. Riffs, melodies, arrangements, recording/mixing/master techniques. What's holding you back?

    • @FrankFleckenstein
      @FrankFleckenstein  7 лет назад +17

      Hey man! The stuff I play in my videos is all written and arranged by myself. I have an entire hard drive full of ideas, riffs and songs. I am in the final stage of finishing my first solo album. Just waiting for some guest recordings coming in to start mixing!

    • @musictechnique

    Wonderful playing, get that music out! How do you like playing headstock vs non-headstock?

    • @FrankFleckenstein
      @FrankFleckenstein  7 лет назад +1

      +Larry Grabarek Thanks, definitely on it! I like the weight and transportability aspect of headless guitars. The zero-fret also comes in handy when playing chords with open strings.

  • @Cerebrum358
    @Cerebrum358 7 лет назад +1

    Dat couch doe. Still wondering about the difference of the zero fret and a regular nut on that Kiesel Vader. I hear the ping on the high E is horrible with the zero fret.

    • @FrankFleckenstein
      @FrankFleckenstein  7 лет назад

      To be honest...you can hear it acoustically, but not when playing with an amp! So it really doesn't bother me.
