    My favorite brand! The best guitar neck of all time can be found on a 1983-1986 Kramer Baretta and I’ll say that until the day I die.

    Jeez what a sweet axe! I have a 1984 single pickup Ibanez Roadstar II that I eventually changed trems on, routed a neck pocket for neck pickup that was the "a little thunder" pickup and then have a midi pickup behind the bridge in that guitar

    Always cool to see Kramers and 80s superstrats on this channel!

    I got a Baretta in '87 and I can't stress how great it was to have the allen wrench holder on the back of the headstock. Very smart move of Kramer. What gave Kramer an advantage in the 80s was the fact that they got right to the heart of what player wanted. Floyds and quality pickups like Duncan JBs. It was simple. One bucker, volume, and Floyd, and it was ready to rock. I played a lot of gigs with that Kramer. I also used an old Charvel strat with a JB and standard trem and an ESP Horizon, some modded strats with Super Distortions or Hot Rails, but it all worked for me. And the Kramer was a real work horse. For strings I would use GHS, Ernies, D'Addario or Dean Markley.

    hey man! try this when adjusting the floyds action
    1. hard tail the floyd where you want it to float
    2: tune the guitar
    3: remove the HT and adjust the screws until the A string goes back into tune and bam

      @xavierramirez7913 Excellent Kramer! I know that this was last year. I have a Kramer 84, didn't Edward Van Halen set up his Floyd bridge sitting against the guitar? I thought that I read somewhere that he claimed to get better resonance and better tuning stability that way? Dive bombs only. My Kramer came set up exactly like Dane did yours here. I got a new EVH Striped Series Floyd bridge on the body. 🤷🏻‍♂️ What are your thoughts?

  • @pvdguitars2951
    @pvdguitars2951 2 года назад +3

    The trem is supposed to sit fully flat on the body without floating. But then the neck should sit a bit lower in the neck.

    once you get the strings stretched (stable) and up to pitch (tuned) remove the eraser, then back out the trem claw screw to pitch.. yes tune it back up with the screws.. at that point the spring tension is balanced with the string tension, "synchronized" .. I dig that eraser it works real well.. Mikey Wants one... correct, Samick factory indo...
    what you think about the new Kramer graphics Barettas, the $1k units?

  • @2dazetake
    @2dazetake 2 года назад +7

    The pickup in these Barrettas are supposed to be just as nice as a Seymore Duncan, not sure what model it mimics, but what a shred monster, and killer sounds you can get with this guitar, simplicity and playability, plus a great looking guitar with a matching painted headstock.

      @Matt_Dylan Oh for sure, those Baretta Specials blow anything else under 200 bucks out of the water. I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on one for a while now but my project guitar at the moment is my Ibanez RG. I love the Kramer I have too much as is to do anything huge to it.

    Easier to change them one at a time, especially for a new Floyd owner. The string gauge change is going to require adjustment.

    Hey Dane love your videos. I must be living under a rock, because I have never seen a Floyd Rose on a strat that hasn't been routed out. What sorcery is this!?

    • @DeputyVanHalen5150
      @DeputyVanHalen5150 Год назад

      @thedeadofnight5355 These Kramers aren't routed out. Also the EVH guitars are the same way, not routed out. Dive bombs only. They get way better resonance this way in my opinion. Better tuning stability too, especially if you break a string when playing. 😁🎸 The way Dane set this up, you still have room to pull up on the whammy bar.

      It’s a Floyd 1000 and the thin block is chrome plated brass, as a matter of fact I put upgrade FU brass big block in my Baretta vintage ( same guitar here) the same week I got it, played it for about a year and just pulled it out yesterday in favor of the smaller one, imho the Maple body seems way more “Alive” with the smaller block , the Big Block is Awesome but just too much mass for the Maple body magic and to me it was totally evident , I Love this guitar, I had to wait 30+ yrs to get one in a lefty, I wanted one in 87 but didn’t have the $ and got a Focus 6000 instead ( Awesome guitar in its own right ) but I’m absolutely thrilled with it ! I now have 3 Lefty Barettas! Cool vid man!

    It’s funny you ask, the: $179.99 Baretta Special, made in China, $799.95 Baretta’s made in Indonesia. You were correct! I’m still confused as I thought the Floyd Rose 1000 was not like the CHEAPER Korean made Floyd Rose “Specials”, but that isn’t a brass block connected to the three springs, on the back cavity. I don’t understand??? Can you explain the different Floyd Rose trem’s please?? 1000’s vs. Specials vs. the ones with the “Made in Germany” brass block, Floyd Roses?
