I'm blasting this up for my daughters to look up to, love your word. from a Samoan in NZ, displacement is part of our human condition but ignorance shouldn't be. I agree with furious no need to run when you stand for so much.
Absolutely incredible. Roxy is as beautiful as her words. Her words move me to tears and give me goosebumps every time. I am honored to know this fantastic, invigorating and inspiring woman. Congrats Roxy, keep it up. You will always be a hero of mine.
I LOVE this, so powerful. Beautiful girl with an important message. I wish she didn't run away so fast at the end, she deserved to stand there and soak up those applause.
Is there a transcript for this poem anywhere? I have difficulties understanding because 1) the sound quality isn't that good, 2) there's an echo, and 3) English is not my first language. On the basis of the parts that I CAN hear, this poem sounds pretty amazing.
Oh my god, that was amazing. That gives my the creeps. I have to do a speech about Poetry Slams in my English class (I´m german) and I would love to show it to them. But this is really fast and I don´t understand everything. Is here anybody who could write it down for me ?? This would be so great !!!!!

An awesome poem performed with so much spirit, but so much humility at the same time. Enlightening and endearing, thank you for posting.

Women run the social order, they just have to stand up and do so. Not to knock men, they run other things.
I hear you, and i rather see and hear you:)
lol
Many will think this video effectively depicts why women should be seen and not heard.
Why don't women need a driver's license? There are no roads between the bedroom and the kitchen!
What in the world are you talking about? She isn't talking about color, she's talking about sexism. How women are still over looked.
woow. yea this was most definitely hot.
@UndecidedxoLove1 I'd say she is a woman and not a girl
i like the poem but a lot of poets have the same rhythem and it takes away from the poem.
