Man, i just wanted to say that I've only had a steam account for about 9 months, but just from your videos alone, I've picked up close to 100 games. Really appreciate the work you do.
@@MonkeyBall2453 oh man, so I have tried probably 95% of the games I have bought. That can be maybe just 1 hour or some 15-30 hours. I have a really bad habit of losing interest in a game once I see another that looks interesting. I've probably completed like 20 games? However, a lot of the games I bought are roguelikes/lites so there isn't really an end to those
@@sorenrousseau I like that about roguelikes, they have that sort of pick up and play arcadey vibe to them. IMO nothing is worse than one of these modern games that takes 30+ minutes of introduction and cutscenes before you actually start playing. I'll turn that off right away.
Damn there's like 8 games I want out of that. It's like my whole list is coming out at once, which is weird considering I haven't bought any games in 2024 yet lol
Not sure how many people would be interested in Riviera since the devs had a set of games on the gba that all had that similar pixel style and each game played different but all had 'interesting' ideas for game mechanics. In riviera's case it was a auto walker where your character moves down different hallways and you can pick a path to go, depending on which path you took different things happened but outside of battles you didnt really have much control over the character. They also appeared to replace the pixel graphics with smooth art, i don't know if you can revert that but idk how to feel about it now.
Yayy for Fallen Leaf. Glad that's coming out. Like the other pixel art 8bit highlights - Cosair's Madness, Dojo Masters. Can't believe Meifumado actually coming out but yeah I'm cautious of how this will actually play. And Gestalt, finally.
Just refunded Meifumado yesterday. It looks awesome, animated greatly, basic mechanics are working, but the controls.are absolutely atrocious, balance is horrible and if you have more than one enemy, most of the time you are screwd. I wanted to give this game a chance, but I just don't have fun. I'm not fighting the enemies, I fight with the game itself. And it's more painful after Nine Sols, which is brutally hard sometimes, but always fair, have tons of options either to attack or escape and with absolutely godlike controls. Gestalt: Steam & Cinders on The other hand is absolute blast. Gorgeous pixel art and animations, simple but engaging combat, surprisingly interesting story and overall awesome game. There are a few things that can be fixed, but nothing dramatic. Finished it in 2 days and ready for the new game from these guys.
Little disappointed there was no mention of Retaliate which released yesterday (same day this vid came out). It plays similar to Galaga but you start with no ammo and instead have a shield that, when used to block enemy shots, adds that shot to your ammo count
Huh, so Meifumado seems actually real at this point, neat. And Gestalt has always looked cool, but of course it's an exclusive for platforms I don't use (the website says PC and switch).
Great, great games this week! As you say, top 5 all excellent, plus others good for me. Of the games in this video, I'm buying 7 on Steam, and trying 4 on Game Pass (after which I always buy GP indies I like). Jeez, hard to keep up! Plus, -- not an indie, but really anticipating Kunitsu-gami from Capcom on Friday... Happy gaming everyone! 😊
Oh thank you so much, if they didn't ruined it I would like to play Riviera again. This is probably bad and super short, but I liked it back then when I had a lot of fantasy and stuff. I could never remember the name and I think I got it from someone as a data at some point years ago. I mean I would still claim it's short and that you play it for the different endings.
Smoothing filter on Riviera with apparently no way to turn it off, skip. Loved it on the GBA, fun little game but it deserves to be playable without some garbage filter smudging the pixels
Just wanted to say, Yaoling doesn't seem anything like Palworld, except for the monster taming aspect. At all. The town building seems more like a stardew valley-ish sort of thing, if I'm honest. Just didn't want anyone to have the wrong kind of expectations.
@@OYME13 Is this the part where you tell me you're a veteran and that you have 6 wives and 20 daughters and never once have any of them had the audacity to tell you what to do because you are a real man?
In that game FALLEN LEAF: I'm sure I've seen this black girl character somehwere in another game but where ?? It doesn't seem to be Dandara but I feel sure I saw her somewhere I can't remember.
how to know .. i'll instantly drop / skip regardless of art direction, or gameplay. the moment i hear these flags .. i'm auto done. rogue like / lite, metroidvania , co-op, party , multiplayer, souls born, online, puzzle heavy, difficult, .... i don't care if it's pixel art, cozy, action .... etc ... any great genre combined with these cursed flags.. auto skip.
Guys, don't touch Gestalt. There's something seriously fishy here. The devs are all over the place, negative reviews are already disappearing (and have 30+ downvotes and clown awards in less than 4 hours of posting while total reviews were ~80, 8 hours after launch), the publisher is russian owned, and everything looks wonky and weird the deeper you look. I bought the game, it's really nothing to write home about, it is barebones at best speaking from general mechanics for metroidvanias, there is a ton of non-skippable, disruptive cutscenes and so far, I am really not impressed. Be very wary with this one. Something is not right here. The devs e.g. said they will implement skipable cutscenes in the launch version, only 2 weeks later they claim they never had that plan... I dunno... Sorry for the bad news, had this on my wishlist for years.

A true Steam user. You'll be like the rest of us, with a huge catalog and you won't play most of them.
How many of them would you say you've played? Have you completed many of them?

Nobody wants to die comes out this week.
Man, it took me 10 minutes to figure out your comment😵💫

Showing Riviera was a goddamn uppercut to the past
Galactic Glitch is really fun! Recommending it to anyone who likes such type of games.
Flintlock looks like a discount Strange Brigade
the least you can expect of a sweetbaby inc consulted game... all of the games they are involved are an overpriced pile of trash
So many good games this week ! I have to pick up only 2 : Gestalt and Meifumado (with caution).
This is hands down the best channel to follow if you own a steam deck.
Space Prison looks a bit like that 2012 movie: Lockout. Very cool aesthetics.
Mech Builder looks almost exactly like the minigame in Zachtronics game Last Call BBS ... hmm

I wonder why BIG doesn’t say his usual ending speech. “I’ll see you after the jump”
CHAOS 🗿
Gestalt or Bo...Gestalt or Bo...maybe I'll just try Fallen Leaf instead.
Wow, wasn't expecting to see Dojo Masters accounted for, but there it is!
Fallenleaf, dungeonborne, galactic glitch, schim, Flintlock, Sparedevil, Bo, are my favorites!
11:40 oh Chaos, how I've missed you so. 🤣 Thanks for the videos as always Clemmy ♥

Magical Delicacy gives spiritfarer vibes.
You’ve never heard of Riviera: The Promised Land Clemmy?? It’s such a good game I was shocked to see it on your list
Def give it a go 😊
Big thx! Add Fallen Leaf Dungeonborne Dojo Masters
Amazing video, there are so many cool games releasing this week! Thank you for highlighting USC: Counterforce!
Just want to let you know that OPUS Prism Peak got another trailer that shows off a bit of gameplay.

I want to buy at least like half of these games outright. They knew what they were doing waiting til after the sale huh?
riviera the promised land is part of the department Heaven series, and ygdra union is also on steam, so i ahve a feeling most might come to steam soon
Always appreciate your diligence re: follow the money trail on developers Clemmy

I used to play SCHiM in the back of my parents car when I was a kid.
Meifumado?!?!?! Ohhhh shid!! It is so on!!!

flintlock is being so unfairly treated, its a great damn game
Block the grifters lol
kiopioke looks really good
Meifumado has no reviews from outlets yet despite now being out.
This week is hell of good games ty forthe video! 🔥🔥🔥
Maybe the true Gestalt was an indie game after all and not the friends we made along the way 🥰

Right? I don't get why companies don't just embrace pixel art

Jesus Christ.... What a week!? My wife is never going to let me play all of these. HOW CAN I CHOOSE!?
Get a new wife. lol She should not determine your playtime.
If you need permission, you need a divorce. Period.
Hit the gym, man the eff up.
These other two guys are maidenless.
@@desertmammoth3159 Trust me, if he has to ask for permission, he's already maidenless. He just hasn't accepted it yet.

Everybody beg the Dungeonborne developers for Bunny Girl DLC.
If they don't do it, it proves they're linked to Chinese megacorps.😆

Nr 2 looks great to me
even more confusing is that rogue likes and rogue lites are nothing like rogue. Rogue was basically a d&d clone. rogue-likes/lites are not lmao
Norland release yeesss
Why is every single game I like NOT ON PS5??? Damn it! I can play it on PC, but it is meant to be played on TV. T_T
LEZ GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
*Некоторые игры выглядят интересно...*
I have the feeling we are seeing the same games over and over again. Developers are glitching.
Mithril Interactive is apparently from Singapore. They are definitely not indie.
Fallen leaf on switch when?
man chinese games get better and better, cant underestimate anymore
best indie game is subnautica
Wait whats the game in the thumbnail

Dan auto taller sucks, seems like
Mobile games pull that, definitely not my thing
你好
All else skip except norlock
Crestfallen performance looks ass unfortunately
Complaining about the term "souls-lite" while constantly covering a flood of rogue-likes and -lites is ridiculous.
Not really, he's just saying that it's a confusing and unnecessary genre tag

Boo to generative AI. If they had the art to train the AI then they should've just drawn the art for the game...
im sad about the crust. the AI generated images and voices are unbearable for me :(
