Microprose is making such a comeback. I played so many of their games back in the day and still play Falcon 4 ( BMS ofc ) to this day. It's the best flightsim out there for 30 years at this point. Really looking forward to most of these titles especially the naval ones.
Slitherine has a great record of success with we-go strategy games. Wouldn’t have thought to use the system for a dogfight sim but now that I see it I can’t believe it wasn’t done before.
Does we-go mean that both players make orders at the same time and then they get resolved simultaniously? Games Workshop tried something like that with their Warhammer 40K air battle game. Can't remember the name, it wasn't very successful unfortunately but had some very good ideas..
@@kaltaron1284 that’s the basic idea, slitherine has used it for a few of their properties most notably the absolute masterpiece Battlestar Galactica: deadlock. But it’s usually slower paced, large scale, fleet based action. I question how effective it’ll be for something as twitchy as a dogfight sim. Still, if it works it’ll be awesome.
Until it's out I have to recommend two titles I started playing back in the 90's: "Over the Reich" (from 1996) and "Achtung Spitfire!" (from 1997) both developed by Big Time Software and published by Avalon Hill and both eminently playable to this day!
LT, I just want to say that i absolutely love your channel. You are a godsend for all of us PC wargamers! I hope your channel continues to grow! Keep up the good work.
Hello again LT! Thanks so much for featuring us again in one of your videos. It means so much to us to have the support of the community for our vision of Ahoy, and we do hope your community likes what we're building. You're absolutely spot on, we're still early in development here. Thankfully we have a lovely community building around the project and I think everyone is enjoying watching it come together, even if it's a bit slower than we'd like due to our volunteer nature. We're looking to go to crowdfunding early next year, and we hope this will provide the injection of investment needed to bring Ahoy to life in it's fullest sense :) Thanks again!
Strategos looks awesome, defo following that one. Scramble looks fantastic too! I loved Il-Sturmovik (I know it was more of an Action game) it was so much dan fun!
I added a handful of these to my wishlist. I'm a big fan of Classical Antiquity, so I'm really looking forward to Strategos. Thanks for putting these videos together.
Footage is at least 6+ months old We are going to implement a brand new plane physics engine very soon, designed by a close friend of ours He is both a pilot, and an engineer, should be as good as it gets!
A very excellent list. Thank you for your work. I already have all the games in this list wishlisted years ago, too bad they're really taking their time. 😅
Sherman Commander is certainly a game EVERYONE is probably keeping a eye on. Reminds me of RADIO General or RADIO Commander but its a bit more "cinematic" and your commanding your troops from a Front Line tank vs a Tent in the Rear via a Radio. Like you got to admit that TRAILER alone makes you desperately want to play a DEMO just to see what its like.
Task force admiral seems like a remake of Microprose 's Pacific air war 1942 from the late 90's I spent many hours playing it and hope TFA really happens
Great video. I’m undecided on the Cold War games. I definitely don’t want any of the click-fest RTS titles but from what I’ve seen they all are to a degree. Regiments seems to be one of the better / slower paced ones. Broken Arrow looks like it might be better still or possibly Armoured Brigade 2. Task Force Admiral looks good too and I’ve been keeping an eye on U-Boat, looks great to play Das Boot 🤣
Any thoughts on the Scourge of War remaster. Would love to have an updated version of some of these titles, but when I saw the recent footage it looked pretty janky to me.
Wow what a list. If I was was given any of these for an Xmas present I'd be delighted. I added every single one to my wishlist and hopefully one or two are released before Xmas. If I was forced to say which one I'm looking forward to most I suppose it would be Ahoy. I'm a moth to a flame for age of sail games. Putting that list together must have taken a lot of work guys well done. I wouldn't have found 80% myself and I do look for these kind of games all the time.
@JohnDoe-tv4zf yeah was on my radar as I did enjoy the base game also. It just got shilled to death by other RUclipsrs but I'd really like to break into the Total War space!
I need to play Regiments again. Problem... I have lots of games and not a lot of spare time. I tend to load up Parkitect and faff with my theme park. Ive had Broken arrow on my list since 2021
Some great looking titles on the way, thankyou for the heads up. Was wondering if you're aware of the game Sea Legends by Ukranian developer Game-Labs? it's close to entering beta testing and looking to be fun.
Sorry to disappoint you (both ways - for making you feeling down, and for proving you wrong pretty much every week as far as we're concerned ^^) Cheers, life is full of other pleasures, that I agree with!
Good news. If these are the new coming games.. it means finally i can save money for the rest of the year.. nothing good. Including star wars outcast. Thats also a very bad copycat of starfield..

Yeah I'm a tank enthusiast. I seek out basically all tank sims on steam, and also have steel beasts. Sherman Commander looks amazing.
Halleluja Strategos is so clearly a mix between TW and Field of Glory 2! I‘ve been dreaming of this singe I first played FoG2

Awesome list brother!
Strategos :O Where do you find these games. It looks awesome. Will be following this one closely. Overall a great roadmap for 2024 and beyond here.
Strategos does look like a brilliant addition to the future of wargaming! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thanks for the video! Many of these were already on my wish list but some weren't. They are now.
oh what did we add? :)
So many good games, so little time. Need to plan a looong holiday for playing these.
I’m excited for TF Admiral. Very recently I just started playing UBoat and it’s highly addicting

SGS Battle for Shangai looks interesting.
Unity of Command 2 announced what is probably going to be their last DLC focusing on the push to Berlin. Those games are always fun.
last "Soviet" DLC - doesn't mean the last DLC for UoC2.
@dougreed2387 could be. I was just assuming after the in game "end" of WW2 they would move on to something else. We may very well see a UOC2 Pacific.

New to your channel. Looking forward to your future content...
So much planned! Welcome :)
Broken Arrow is my number one wish listed game, can't wait for the full release.
One for the older LT Gamers fans. I used to love a game back in the 90's called Harpoon. Do you think Sea Power: NCMA will be like it?
What was the previous list you were referring to?
The Battle of Britain is underrepresented because the battle was sheer chaos
one of those looks like GROUND CONTROL and the other looks like brothers in arms but turn based instead of fps
Some great looking titles on the way, thankyou for the heads up. Was wondering if you're aware of the game Sea Legends by Ukranian developer Game-Labs? it's close to entering beta testing and looking to be fun.
Yes it featured on the last list and just didn't quite make the cut here. But it certa9inlky could swap easily into this list :)
Since we have to wait till 2025 for TFA. When will Broken Arrow be released?
Would like information on Platforms these games will play on. I am on a Mac.
We mainly do PC but will see about it in future updates!
18:03 what's the name of this soundtrack
why does stregos the forst game you mention have the map and music from rome TW?
The music is something I layered over the top for the video.
I wishlisted Sherman commander and Broken arrow. Thanks
