    • @madisonyearwood7925
      @madisonyearwood7925 4 года назад +14

      Andrew Corrie It makes a lot of sense. I’m sure the movie is translating an earlier time period and for sure different kind of origin than the games ever did. But back on topic by what we know from the games. No one knows about any descendants of Gerald other than the two cousins, Maria and Ivo (talking games, so I’m not going to get into the clusterfuck of once removed type of stuff with Hope Kintobor), which means Gerald has at least two kids, most likely sons due to names passing on, that we know nothing about that were the parents of Maria and Ivo due to the shared surname of Robotnik. Maria you can assume her parents gave custody to Gerald because of her illness. No one knows anything about Ivo and those two known relatives were probably dead/imprisoned by the time he came around, depending on how long it was between Gerald’s incarceration and execution and also Ivo’s age.
      If the thing keeps going, I could see the possibility of a Gerald name drop or even a reference of some sort to that side of the story. Shadow of course could be a stretch, but that’s a stretch I’d love to see if they write it right (we all know the current issues with how he’s written 🙄 but it seems this movie wasn’t shying from darker humor and areas by the interviews, bc as they said they have to keep in mind adults are going to see this due to our history of playing the games, so I’m not as worried). The fans familiar with it would pick it up and react, myself for sure. Idk just my 2 cents 😂

    Man, I really hope this film gets a franchise. Like, if they play their cards right, this film as it is now, could lead to the revitalization of the Sonic franchise as a whole. Maybe work games and comics into Canon for the movie, and have them taking place at different time periods. Some in the future, some taking place before the film, etc. Then with the sequels to the film I hope there's more characters introduced, they can build on the universe in way where they can keep all the characters in the first film, similar to what they did with Sonic X, just without Cosmo or the Metronix (or whatever they were called). And if they decide to pull from the Archie comics, they will introduce the source of Sonic's power as the Chaos Force. All inhabitants of Mobius are able to draw on the chaos Force I believe. So, that could lead to the introduction of the chaos emeralds, which would eventually lead to maybe the introduction of Knuckles and the master emerald in the third film. With the plot being inspired by the Sonic and Knuckles video game. Tails would introduced in the second film at the same time the chaos emeralds and Sonic's Super form are introduced. Man, this could end up being so lit.
    Edit: Not to mention, they have Shadow. And if there's anything I can say about the history of Sonic voice actors since the introduction of Shadow, is that when you play Sonic, you play Shadow too, and I'd love to hear a Ben Schwartz Shadow voice. Not to mention bringing in the rest of the gang- Rouge, Omega, Gamma, Tikal, Charmy, Espio, Vector, Amy, Big, Cream and Cheese, Chaos. New characters like Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow, and Storm the Albatross, and maybe reboot the Sonic 006 storyline so Silver, Blaze, Mephiles the Dark, and Elise can be reintroduced, but they would basically retcon the original story and then work a new one based on how they plan to move forward with the film version of Sonic. Not to mention the possibility of working more characters in, who are a bit obscure to the newer generation Sonic fans (not including the ones who have taken it upon themselves to research the Archie comics or the really old Sonic games where many of these characters made their appearances including but not limited to- Mighty the Armadillo, Ray the Flying squirrel, Bean the Dynamite, Fang the Sniper, Bark the Polar Bear, Sallie, and just the entire world of Sonic, revitalized and having the universe built on in such a way that it continues to stay fresh and exciting but also holds real stakes in the world itself as a franchise. Not to mention the possibility of basically building a Sonic Cinematic Universe where they do branch off stories of certain characters in order to introduce other Sonic characters, then bring them back full circle in a big Sonic Cinematic Universe crossover event like Sonic 006 or Sonic Heroes. Shit, I'd kinda like to see a Sonic Multiverse low-key, and with the chaos emeralds being able to influence space-time, it's not out of the realm of possibility for them. Plus, there are other emeralds in other universes. Remember the Sol Emeralds in Sonic Rush? Sega should of built on the concept that there are emeralds in other universes, each set with their own powers and effects unique to that universe. Then someone shatters the Multiverse and we get these various main characters introduced from other universes. They're basically the Sonic's of their worlds, but they aren't Sonic. So for Mobius, you have Sonic. For the Sol Zone, you have Blaze. Then they just come up with others who are just as compelling, give them their own unique powers that make them different from both Sonic (super speed) and Blaze (pyrokinesis) based on what kind of emeralds are in that universe and how those emeralds affect that universe's inhabitants. I actually have a few ideas of my own. Not just for characters but for plots, emerald concepts, new villains, and various "zones" which are the different universes in which we get these Sonic-esque main characters and their version of the emeralds as well as their abilities.

      Okay, so I definitely would like to write the sequel to this film if it ends the way I think it will, which is basically Sonic returns to his world and Dr. Eggman follows him and gets stuck. Note: This is just a skeleton without any major details included as far as play by play of what happens.
      So, my idea for the sequel, starts with the opening credits overlayed on snippets from the first movie so anyone who hasn't seen the first will get a vague idea. Then if they like the sequel, it might encourage them to go back and watch the first film. Anyway, moving on, the opening credits end with a new scene that was meant to be a stinger for the sequel but the creators reveal they took it out because they weren't sure how the film would do. This "stinger" turned opening scene, would basically show how Sonic defeated Eggman. Then Sonic races off into the distance, and we jump forward six or seven months.
      Now we see Sonic doing whatever it is he does, and then he hears noises so he investigates. Turns out, we find large groups of animals running from these robots meant to capture them. Among the animals running from the robots, is Miles Prowler aka Tails. This would be the introduction of his character and the start of his friendship with Sonic. Many of the animals are captured and the robots retreat with them after Sonic shows up and destroys a few of the bots, freeing the small animals. Tails initially tries to thank Sonic for saving him, but Sonic takes off, as he is primarily focused on finding who he suspects is responsible for this- Dr. Eggman. We then cut to Dr. Eggman who is in the process of working on a design that will allow him to harness a power he has become aware of after coming to Sonic's world. This power being the power of the chaos emeralds. The machine he has built, will allow him to use the chaos emeralds power to channel the chaos Force into his machine and take over Sonic's world. Back to Tails who is disappointed that he didn't get to thank Sonic for saving him, decides to go to his workshop and throw himself into a secret project he has been working on. Fast forward to Sonic who has located Eggman. He attempts to take him down, but he is defeated and falls in the ocean and washes away before Eggman can capture him. His body is found by Tails who notices that Sonic has a chaos emerald in his possession. This wakes Sonic up after the power of the chaos emerald is activated subconsciously by Sonic (it's later revealed that Sonic is able to channel chaos Force which gives him his super speed, and therefore allows him to use the chaos Emerald's power). He and Tails decide to work together to try and beat Eggman to collecting the chaos emeralds which we discover, there are seven of them. I also think that each emerald should have its own unique ability that can be channeled, but the emeralds share a universal trait of being able to bend space-time, and when combined, grant immeasurable power to those who can truly connect with the emeralds. So, Sonic and Tails begin trying to collect the emeralds, and Eggman isn't slowing up either. Eventually, Eggman manages to steal the emeralds that Sonic and Tails collected, and then escapes using a giant sphere like ship that rose up from the ground and suspended itself at a distance that Sonic couldn't reach even with his super speed or Tails' flying ability. The two fall from the Death Egg and Tails manages to save them by spinning his tails at the right moment so they wouldn't directly smash into the ground. Eggman now in possession of all seven emeralds begins the final touches on his plan. Back with Sonic and Tails, Sonic isn't defeated, but this is beginning to feel like a never ending battle. In the end, he ends up getting encouragement from Tails as well as several other Mobians on the planet who are tired of Eggman including Sally Acorn in there. They form a kind of rebellion and take the fight to Eggman. Tails reveals that the secret project he had been working on, was a plane- the Tornado (we'd later get Tornado X in a loose Sonic Adventure live action adaptation connected to this Sonic in the movies) which he and Sonic use to get aboard the Death Egg. The odds look slim for our duo at first when they face off against Eggman in a giant robot suit drawing from the emeralds (not him, but the suit is being powered by the emeralds), and luckily they are able to come out on top after Tails manages to get one of the emeralds free from Eggman. He then gives it to Sonic and he uses the Emerald's individual power to reobtain the other six Emeralds and join them into himself turning him into Super Sonic (he didn't know he'd turn into Super Sonic, it just happened after gathering all seven, and with his connection to chaos Force which gave him his super speed- it just was a natural occurance. Now in his Super form, Sonic manages to dismantle the Death Egg. Eggman escapes, and Sonic and Tails escape the devastation of the ship crashing. The two end up good friends and even look at each other kind of like brothers. They say their farewells for the moment, and Sonic sets out once again. Running at incredible speeds then transforming into Super Sonic once again as he flies into the distance which if coupled with a stinger at the end of Angel island falling or something being distrupted- we then have a third film set up to introduce Knuckles the Echidna and the master Emerald.
      Edt: I also think the sequel should be called Sonic and Tails just because it sounds more aesthetically pleasing than Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (not saying that it's the only option, but I just don't seeing many other titles working)
