I'm so grateful every day that we have gotten another chance to witness John come back and play guitar again. Those 4 souls were meant to play together - it's always sublime ;)
What are exactly his innovations? He emulates Hendrix and some funk guitarists, solos exclusively in the minor pentatonic scale. Has some cool riffs but hardly an innovator.
Lolololol. You must really love hammer ons and wah wah face. That opening clip though is the best I’ve ever heard him solo. He’s good at fooling children and dilettantes.
Same, I wasn’t even into music at all until I heard chili peppers and it’s like I knew how to speak another language. I’m into such different bands now like tool and floyd but no guitarist ever makes me feel the emotion that John does.
@@AnimalOnMars I became i fan in 89 for mothers milk. Started playing drums in the 90s. But the stadium Arcadium album is to me his Magnum Opus. I read a lot of what he did on that album. It’s insane his level of musical knowledge of guitar and sounds.
My only complaint is I thought I saw the time on this video as 3 hours. Hell, I was hoping it was 3 days long. Frusciante is everything to me. The Chili Peppers are my life. Literally since '84. I've seen them over 70 times live and I will follow them wherever they go. Thank you for sharing this. This brightened my dark day.
Flea's playing style is nothing like anything else. The dude with the Irish dress , SPANKING that bass like there's no tomorrow so funny , so incomparable , so crazy 🤣 Flea forced me to love the bass. All his falt alone. Thank you FLEA.
Everybody is talking about John, but the whole band is incredible. The clip come from 6:04 to 10:50 is a huge showcase to how the musicians improvise and play together. The breakdown is phenomenal. Truly incredible, especially at a live show!
RHCP are who inspired me to become a better drummer so could one day jam with a band and have the chemistry they share with each other. I ended up connecting with a group of guys who also loved RHCP as much as I did, and they were musicians that were levels above me. We all Became really good friends who decided to jam one day. That day created a spark which turned into a roaring fire of funky chemistry. They motivated and turned me into a great solid drummer. We formed a little band and played a few amazing shows together that I’ll always cherish. We also jammed as much as possible inside of this shed I had at my childhood home that my step dad actually turned into a drumming room back when I was a kid. It had carpet, sound proof sheet rock, and an A/C unit. When I grew up and started drumming, we took it over. Painted the two side walls red and we painted the back wall with a black chalk board paint so that anyone who came in to party or Jam, signed the wall or drew a sweet little piece of funky art on it. That Shed is where me and my Chili Pepper buddies first jammed and created that spark. One year on my birthday, we all decided to take a hit of LSD. Me and my good friend who seemed to be a seed from Flea with how amazing he was on bass, had a Drum and Bass jam session that felt like Godly funk monks were flowing through us. It’s like we were vessels for them on autopilot, playing the funkiest and most insane improvisations. All we could do is just laugh our asses off and smile the whole time bc it was blowing our minds the way we were able to telepathically read each other and know exactly what to play at the perfect times. Just having an organic musical conversation, exactly like as if we were having a normal verbal conversation. It was probably the best jam and musical connection I’ve ever experienced. Good times 😂
This 3 guys have a music connection that i never saw nothing like it,its magical ❤ Thank you Red Hot for all the great Music and moments i was in 1 of those shows haha 🤘 "Nos Alive" And thanks for the video,Happy new year 🥳

It was 2006 and i got my first mp3 player when i was 12. I just remember that i loaded it up with a few folders that i have in my old computer (around 90mb) among all those songs i had "Snow", "Tell me Baby" Hump De Bump and "Dani California". When i was about to have my first boot up to that mp3 player i just plug to hard the headphone and i broke the plug but just partially. At that moment "Snow" was playing, and i just could hear the guitar through the headphones and then in the chorus the backing vocals from John. From that moment my life change for ever when i heard those incredible riffs and powerful voice.
Thank you for this video. I'm grateful to have experienced many shows in their 2022-2024 tour. Can't wait for them to go back on tour after a well-deserved break. 🫶
Pause at 5:34 to see Jimi Hendrix’s very own Strat. Interesting story but I actually saw them in Glasgow 2023 and managed to notice the use of two strap nuts on his white strat he was playing. I thought to myself surly not!? I left the concert and googled it to find I had in fact spotted he was using one of Jimi’s own strats, on loan from a music museum!
Incredibly moving to see the Froosh sing Syd Barrett's 'Terrapin' to a stadium full of people, few of who know who Syd is. Transmission of one magician by another - music on a different plane.

He looked like death warmed over when he quit the band and was using tons of H. The chili peppers aren't the same without him. Glad he survived.
