I can't stand most youtube gameplay type vids (with people talking rubbish) but the James and mike ones are always hysterical, or just good fun if its a full playthrough of a really tough game like Battletoads. Fuck that game, I never got past the third level.

Hi James. I remember I was going through some really shitty times in 2006 - 07, and your videos made me happy. I remember laughing uncontrollably over the elaborate triple stackers of cussing, and generally your character became something familiar and close to my heart. Everything is going great in my life now, but I just wanted to thank you for your creativity and sense of humor, that made everything better back then. Thanks man
I liked that we got an inside look at how this all got started because I absolutely love what James does, especially AVGN. Who the fuck could hate James Rolfe? He's fucking awesome! Pennsylvania loves you dude!

There's actually a reviewer that defends LJN. That's his whole shtick!
Well...........those people that genuinely like Jekyl and Hyde should be probably be destroyed....to save humanity. Just saying.
Little does young James know just how epic his career went from here! A full length movie and so many more classic episodes of AVGN! Keep it going!
If I had 24 hours to live I would spend it binge watching AVGN videos.

'James and Mike' videos kind of established the idea in my head that the AVGN character is largely James doing an caricature of Mike
I mean, Mike is standard for a gaming nerd, so not too surprised there.
Then, is Motherfucker Mike, Mike Matei's caricature of James Rolfe?
It’s exactly this. I always theorized that Avgn was mostly written by Mike as it’s his style of humour and not James’, as seen in James & Mike videos.
