Been playing dice thrones for a long time and just stumbled on your channel. It’s very refreshing to actually have someone that truly understands the nuances of characters when discussing strategy. I thoroughly enjoyed this and hope to see one for every character!

That is the goal. My intent is to be fully caught up with all released heroes prior to the release of XDT next year. 🤞
      Glad you enjoyed it!

I loved the video man! I bought the game recently (s2 and Treant vs ninja) and I been playing every weekend with my friends. Love this kind of in depth content for every heroe, and it must take you a while to plan and record, so thanks a lot for your effort !!

Well. Yes. The slow pace of release does come down to the amount of games I feel I need to play to be confident that I'm giving good information.
I do always encourage players to think about what works for them too. This videos are always going to be a bit biased toward players who think like me. I try to not let my personal preferences overshadow lines of play that are valid, but not for me.
I'm super happy that you find it useful. That's why I make them. But I also want to encourage new players to explore and find the play style that works best for them.
      Keep rolling 6s!

In the proper hands, he feels that way.
His ability to flex between hard argo and slower long game gives him a more well rounded kit than most heroes.
One of my favorites, for sure.

Can you use nanites to inflict damage and get rid of the shadow thief shadow effect in the upkeep phase ?

    • @TheBuildPhase
      @TheBuildPhase  2 месяца назад +1

No. The Shadow effect doens't go away when it blocks dmg and it only blocks atk dmg. So Nanites won't be stopped by Shadows and also won't cause the Shadows to clear.

What do you think in general of the Marvel heroes compared to these original 14/16, in terms of fun level?
(I can probably get one battle chest but I don't know which one to go for :P The Marvel IP isn't really a positive or negative for me.)

If the Marvel coat of paint isn't a selling point for you, then I'd encourage you to look at the mechanics. Find the set that has heroes that speak to you.
Now, if you're new to DT, in my opinion, starting with Season 1 is a solid pick. You have a very well rounded box with heroes that do just about all the different types of things you can do.
Overall the complexity is a bit lower than some of the other chests... But there are still very complicated heroes for the folks in your playgroup who enjoy that. #ShadowThief
Season 2 takes the art to another level, in my opinion. It also introduces heroes with companions and other unique mechanics. Some of my favorites are in this box. Cursed Pirate might be the coolest design in the whole game.
Both Marvel boxes (Xmen isn't out yet) offer familer Marvel heroes with that DT gameplay. I think there's a lot to love in here. Black Widow is easily in my top 5 favorite in the whole game.
However... You asked for which ONE I'd recommend. I think that the first season continues to be the best on ramp for new players. But I want to qualify that a bit. Every chest has great gameplay and wonderful art. Your playstyle will have a lot of impact on which of these sets you like the most. For example, if you love the idea of going into battle with your cat, maybe Huntress will be your favorite based on the theme. So, in that case, I'd say start with Season 2.
There's no wrong order to pick up the battle chests. They are all great value for the cost.
And while I do tend to nudge people toward S1 as the best place to start, if you look over the options and the heroes in Marvel or s2 look more fun, then go with that box.
Let me know what you choose!

@@TheBuildPhase Thanks for your reply! I will look more closely at what the heroes all do to make a decision.

@lystic9392 if you aren't already there, maybe check out the DT discord.
Lots of folks with strong opinions of the heroes. Might be useful to inform you choice.
Though... The truth is... Eventually you want all of 'em. It's just so good.
