Wait, my "Yo Ho" Says that the gamble is in my favour, where they lose on a 3-6. One of us has the wrong card, and I don't know who. My Pirate board says V2 and the leaflet says V3 if that helps. Also minor clarification on the interaction between the Skeleton Curse and Parlay. Your opponent can still activate an ability that does an attack and not recieve a Powder Keg. The attack will still deal no damage and no defense roll is made, but an attack was still done for the purpose of that passive.

It looks like this version was a bit unclear about the original story. Superman goes to confront Shazam over the rampage, but the moment Billy reveals his identity, Supes concludes he's effectively a child soldier (so can't be held accountable) and goes to ream out the Wizard for putting him in that life. What happened to Sivana and the assassin is the furthest thing from Supes' mind at the Rock of Eternity. The Wizard does agree that giving Billy that power was far from ideal, but essentially argues that there were no other candidates - and, yes, not-so-subtly nudges Supes toward helping make the best of it.

Bitter sweet day to say the least.

As long as these characters are fun to play, I'm happy. I'm not a tourney player (although this was fun to watch regardless), and I only have the Marvel characters. So hopefully those along with the new x-men characters play well together and are balanced nicely against eachother. I'm excited for all of these characters! :)

Finally another DT review.

I usually enjoy the high complexity characters regardless of power level, but this convinced me to get this box to teach new players more effectively (sorry to my sister, you deserved better than playing Spiderman against Huntress). After trying it myself: I can tell it's not remotely competitive, but my opponent was 20 life up and I chained Crit Bash into Rage into 5 die basic, and watching the panic as their sure win was now looking tenuous was priceless. I still lost that game as I was still at 10 and I wiffed my defence, but wild moments like that can really get a game like Dice Throne to stick with you.

I agree with all of your points, but I will say that just as quickly as Vs2PCG went online only, it could go back to using distributors. (I don't think that it will). My pet theory is UDE launches some kind of next VS 3, as a new TCG probably. They could totally continue 2pcg if they do that. I don't know if they would, but they certainly could. That could be the best case scenario for 2pcg fans. We get to keep buying our LCG style cards from the upper deck store, and Upper deck makes enough on a new TCG to keep all the licenses funded. They're going to convince me to get into another TCG probably. I'm cautiously optimistic for the future.

What a great idea! I've taken to customizing some of the tokens of my favorite heroes (metal 'Pirates of the Caribbean-style' coins instead of doubloons, a miniature metal Mjolnir for Thor, etc.). I'm always looking for new ways to make it even MORE special!

I think they also designed the low drops with super powers for the Super Super format, and just poorly timed on release. I really hope this format gets used again in the future, with some better anti Max tech.
