      Bonds was literally putting up video game numbers without the juice. That stretch between 1990 and 1998 is just mind boggling, especially that 1.038 OPS and OPS+ of 181. He also averaged a slash line of .305/.438/.600, 36 HR, 36 SB, 110 RBI, and 119 BB during that stretch. Just pure dominance.

    Now if you see the differences from mid 80's on the Pirates, till this video of him on the Giants '93-95, not much on a bulk build up, normal weight gain progression. He play 21 seasons, expected to bulk up eventually... I went in the US Navy bootcamp 5'10 1/2" 120 lbs.. they beefed me up on simple starchy hit Carb diet. I went from 120-155 in 8 weeks! Guys & Dolls, that's a 30 lb weight gain in just 8 weeks! Barry bulked up over a 21 season/year career! And the proof is in the puddin'... he was tested several times, most being random & unannounced, and he NEVER tested positive! Put him in the God-damned HOF already! He came 65 hits shy of 3000! 2935! Only 762 of those were HR's! And 176 was with the Pittsburgh Pirates from 86-92! And on top of his hitting, he is the recipient of 8 golden gloves! Only one player above him, Roberto Alomar with 10! Please tell me he doesn't deserve it? And I'll sell ya the Brooklyn bridge... But let's investigate the notion that if he was slipped something, not of his knowledge, it can happen. When I was a teen, I was finally invited to help decorate for our HS Homecoming float. When I was driving home, I got into an accident. When I had bloodwork done at the hospital, they found Barbiturates in my system, downers! I know, with my right hand to our Creator, I never took anything willingly. trust & believe Barry when we said the same... but even being tested several times, he still NEVER tested positive! #BondsHOF

      Most people say bonds started juicing around 1999, but to say just because you don't fail a drug test means you are natural is naive. Drug tests are never foolproof and people are employed to aid athletes in fooling drug tests. Lance Armstrong also never failed a test and plenty others don't because tests, especially in the 90s and early 00s were not very good. Even now many athletes are getting away with the use of PEDs and personally I am all for it. I think PEDs make sports more fun and honestly when used responsibly are much more safe than legal drugs. Steroids aren't harmless, but they are among the least likely of any drugs to kill you. Anyways, Bonds definitely used steroids, there are many accounts of this read game of shadows and you can just see from 98-99ish he blew up. Btw your 30lb weight gain probably was mostly water due to the carb retention, it certainly was not much muscle, contractile tissue takes a long time to build naturally. Also, why would Bonds gain muscle when naturally his testosterone levels had dipped and he didn't appear to be a naturally muscular person?

    • @chazfatur1929
      @chazfatur1929 3 года назад +2

      @@justicefelipe4794 - Well, if the drug tests weren't 100 percent accurate, why have them at all?! All the others who tested positive could have claimed a misreading! Give me break! Study Barry's transition from 1986 to 2007, his body weight gain is conducive towards a normal growth. Nothing 'overnight'! He NEVER tested positive for several tests throughout his career, most were never announced until it was happening! He was hitting HR's when he was in college, with the Pittsburgh Pirates and spanning over 21 years in the MLB, he hit a predictable amount. What about Albert Polhols? Hit well over 600 HR's, did he use?! The only ones we know who used Steroids or PED's, were the ones who tested positive and admitted it afterwards. No one ever contested their results. Barry more than contested his rumors, NOT results!

    • @justicefelipe4794
      @justicefelipe4794 3 года назад

      @@chazfatur1929 There are many protocols for people to bypass drug tests. Do your research, if you want to remain ignorant to the fact that most athletes are taking PEDs that's ok. You are correct in saying that we do not know whether some athletes used PEDs, they may just be better at beating the test. No test is perfect. Also did you look into game of shadows? Lots of evidence around bonds there. Finally, I don't care that bonds used, because 85-90% of the league was using at the time. The drug tests then were so easy to bypass. So Bonds was really on an even playing field then anyways, so I'm not really even discrediting him. Also, before 1999 when he's alleged of using, he was on track to be a top 10 player anyway, and I think without PEDs he was better than Griffey. BUT, there is so much evidence that he used which taints him a bit.

    • @chazfatur1929
      @chazfatur1929 3 года назад

      @@justicefelipe4794 - Well, let me tell you a little BG about beating drug tests, when you know they're coming! When I served in the Navy, guys used to beat piss tests when they smoked marijuana - lots of vinegar! I had a buddy who tested positive for Steroids, no way to beat it, he was kicked out of the Navy. So to date, I highly doubt there's a system or gimmick to beat testing on steroids and or PEDs! So I disagree with what you're saying, also no way to beat it, if you, once again, do NOT know it's coming. Most of Bond's testing was as surprise, usually just before games to discredit him and get him not to be able to play! He PASSED all of them! Not just a few, technically, ALL!! So let's agree to disagree about this... he did NOT knowingly take any performance enhancing drugs. If he was slipped something, it wouldn't be every single time! That would state Bond's is stupid! Which he clearly is NOT! I was slipped a Barbituant when I was decorating for Homecoming in High School. Someone thought it to be funny to sprinkle some pills in the candy bowl. I got into an accident on my way home and they tested me, which of course I tested positive! I did NOT take any willingly, kinda like Bonds huh?! It can happen, but not for the duration of what folks are claiming he used for years! No way!! Sorry... and if the HOF can't prove it, he should be more than eligible and will be inducted instantly! No one will ever Cath his records... plus he was multiple Golden Glove, stole lots of bases and hit almost 3000 career hits in total! Only 762 were HRs!

      What is really sad that baseball decided to put the stop sign up too late. Then they retroactively go and punish the players for it, after they put a stop sign up. See the rules were already in place before Pete Rose decided to do what he did, he understood the consequence. There was nothing like that for PED's. However Piazza and Bagwell admitted to taking Andro the same stuff that McGwire took. Ironically, they're in the hof. lol

Coming to a 21 season career, an older guy is going to get bigger & retain more weight. People be mad that some of their favorite baseball players got caught red handed & couldn’t deny it if tenge mated to. People can say anything (not saying they can’t be true) but he has never tested positive. Plus he been smacking HRs before any allegations. Sosa & McGuire weren’t the same players they were on steroids as they were before juicing. Without the juice they wouldn’t be hitting no 61 HR. Barry was hitting HRs & won multiple golden gloves, MVPs...
      I do get & understand the speculation but if the glove don’t fit you must acquit 🤷🏾‍♂️ a lot of evidence may look like he took juice but there really is no proof to pin anything on him. LET BARRY IN THE HOF ‼️
