Cummins in Memphis TN is set up like this but the trailers are parked at an angle in front of the docks because they’re isn’t even enough to to put them straight. Toughest docks I’ve ever been too.
Yes! It's basically a one way stretch between the bay side to the left and trailer parking to the right. This was the very first place I was ever sent to when I started driving.
I have never seen a truchstop build with that little space, but have seen many shippers and recievers with that setup, usually the dock is accross from a wall or curb, or they try jamming as many trucks as possible in for staging. Usually in the truck stops, they are set up so parking is tight but not quite THAT tight, but bad drivers come in and park in maneshift spots and make it that tight. Pretty mugh any of the loves on I84 between Boise and portland are a prime example of that along with the pilot in ontario oregon if you want to use them for examples. There are spots that are in a T withplenty of room between, then drivers roll in at midnight and can't find a spot so they park along the other spots in front of the spots perpendicular to them. I would love to see this done with tandems forward AND tandems back. A lot of drivers do not believe me that sometimes having the tandems back allows you to get into spots where you can not get in with them forward. And many customers have tight parking like this but require the tandems to be back at all times.
This that one spot in the truck stop that remains open all night long at a packed place because it’s too dang tight to get into without risking hitting someone. You’d have to be pretty gah dang PRECISE to pull this off. Most of us aren’t. If we were these types of spots wouldn’t stay open the way they do.
When you brought the trucks on the other side into the 40 foot mark, I said NO WAY that's going to work, buuuut WOW ya did it David !!! If I would have been faced with a parking lot like that in real life, I wouldn't even bother to attempt it, NOPE NOPE NOPE I'd go park on the road instead lol. I don't have the skill set to attempt that, and I know my limitations. I'd either end up hitting something, or worse, I'd get stuck and block the whole parking lot. Talk about embarrassing
Flying j in Aurora co can get pretty bad but i never park there, but the pilot in hebron oh has actually impossible spots, i had to back in to a double spot but was still hard. I saw nobody make it into a single spot even though many tried. Maybe people just parked bad that day. Also i would like a video on core mark in Aurora co. That place its absolutely awful with a sleeper when its full
Is the steering wheel backwards? I’ve just discovered this channel and do not have a CDL. However it seems like you turn the wheel to your right shoulder and everything on the screen goes to the left.
@@MyTruckingSkillsis it possible to receive this game from you?i could tell you then where it needs to be improved for getting a real trucking experience as you would drive a semi truck and trailer beause i do trucking for a living.
@@MyTruckingSkills sorry no it's very confusing for people that are trying to learn.... Don't get me wrong though I learned my backing with you for having a shitty trainer that never lets me back during training. I appreciate everything you do 💕💕
@@DC-nc9cn I want to say it's actually helping when you are looking at the handle from the edge of the sight while having the truck on the screen in the center of the sight. The subtle steering slider on-screen also helps with the direction, which mixes in easily with the mirrored cam on the edge.
I just want to share something about American truck simulator if you don't know yet. you can play multiplayer there via truckersmp, all the trailer trucks you see inside the game are real players too
I thank you for making these videos. Im a new driver and I be getting frustrated when I’m backing

@@area51junkyard I am sure they are out there. I just have not seen them. I am a west coast driver and never go out east.
@@area51junkyard just looked it up and said nope. Only early during the daytime when there plenty spots would I stop there
i keep going to pilot's that are about 55' and that is way tighter than our training yards at schneider

God job on that one
that takes practise and he has a top view to use.that makes it much easier as well
Truckstops in erie pa are a pain to get into with a 180 wheel base and a spread axle flatbed
Quakers drop yard in cedar rapids is at angle with 40' space
Getting out is also a pain in the butt can you show that in your next videos? Thanks 👍
Chicago old docks has lots of them. Tandem all the way to front is a key point right ?

i wouldnt juggle with offsets so many times on the last try. prefer to resetup and hope for a better angle
Newburgh, NY Pilot Truckstop off of I-84. ridiculous 😂😅
Why does the mobile versions don’t have truck stop parking?
You got in how do get out ??????

For this simulator u can get this close but in reality u cant do this.
Are you simulating the steering wheel movement, or does the app work with the steering wheel? I downloaded the game yesterday.
The app works with any controller.
This game on pc can be download for free?
nope, it costs $10
I faced something like this last month and had to do a jacknife back
what program are you using there?
It's called My Trucking Skills, I created the game
is it possible to get this game?and 1 more thing,is it possible to more the trailer axle in that game?if not that makes a big different as well.
