- A live performance from @hamishhawkofficial as part of the Hidden Door Live series of live shows, performances and interviews. In this exclusive live session from February 2021, Edinburgh-based Hamish brings us his unique brand of sublime Scottish indie-pop.
ABOUT HIDDEN DOOR LIVE
We have handed over the reins to artists, musicians and dancers to enable their ideas in creating unique and immersive online events. Each project sees the guest-curator take control of Hidden Door’s social media for a look behind the scenes as the work takes shape, culminating in a live show.
The project has received funding from Creative Scotland and The National Lottery’s Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development Programme, allowing every participant to be paid fairly for their contribution to the shows.

Through organising temporary events Hidden Door works to showcase new work and create engaging environments for the public to experience, explore and discover.

Really like this, 🙂.
I'm a bit late to this party but what an outstanding set.
Another person who has chanced upon this friggin' amazing song-writer... 'Bonkers', 'Quirky', 'Unique'... Anyone who writes a superb singalong anthem with the title 'The Mauritian Badminton Doubles Champion, 1973' and has the line 'They will dance the Gay Gordons at my funeral' as a rousing chorus is, IMHO, a genius!!
I can't believe i'm the first to leave a comment after this clip has been up for 2 months now. Only 160 odd views? Shocking i call it!
When are you coming to Exeter Hamish? Love to see you live mate!
Discovered him today. The whole album is totally bonkers. I say Mercury-prize winner!
Love Catherine Opens a window; an adult melancholic memory through the eyes of a child. Beautiful.
Saw Hamish and his fantastic band yesterday at Left of the dial @Rotterdam. In one word breathtaking!
Come back soon Hamish and co!
Just discovered Hamish on Radio 6 this morning and am instantly hooked.
Same..! He sounds like a Scottish Neal Hannon.
Me 3. Months ago. Criminally overlooked. Vancouver radio ,except my Bandcouver show, won't play his music. Their loss.
Fantastic set, beautiful purity.
amazing artist. Mercury prize for me
Hamish, you are amazing, keep singing, your voice is like angles caressing my eardrums.. thank you.😎
