I think wizards has the philosophy to fixate colorparings with planes. Unless i forget something this would be a first for them. That said with the phyrexian invasion recently and now the omenpaths ingluencr i can see it making sense from a story perspective.
Yea, WotC is a bit fixated on planes being static in their mana/colour afiiliation. However, when they did Lorwyn the whole plane shifted in appearance in Shadowmoor.

Seth, your biggest flaw is you actively look for ways to lose while winning. You will have the game locked for example, with solidarity, unlife, and everything has shroud. But then you sacrifice the shroud enchantment and lose.
Sweatiest is def Tomer, while he tries to roughly follow his themes he still often breaks them to "have a win con" while others tend to run even dysfunctional decks just for the theme.

The rest are either ramp or mid range, neither of which are auto decks at all. What he might mean are decks that have a ton of cards that if unanswered, run away with the game within 1-2 turns. That I agree should not be the case.
To answer Crim's question: the Domino's franchise in northeast North Carolina starts at $7.25/hr (which is minimum wage) while in the store, but drops to, like, $6.50-ish while taking deliveries. And they get about $0.60/mile to cover gas. So nah, ain't really changed in 2024. 😂
Talking about the autopilot decks, as a player who was out of the game for over 20 years and just recently got back into it, those have made it very easy for me to still have an enjoyable experience in the higher range pods that they have at my local shop. I want to get better to so I don't have to lean on that style as much. But the complexity of the cards is just so high. I feel like it's going to take me years to be at the level of some of the other players.
A random idea I have for a different color identity rule is you can run off color cards that include some part of your color identity. I have no idea how it would actually work but it seems interesting.
The off-kilter approach to a known plane is another example of how 3 set blocks make for a better experience overall. The concept of slivers overrunning Ikoria seems really cool but it sucks as 1 set. In a 3 set block you can see the progression from "Ikoria big monsters" to "Ikoria something isn't quite right, what are these pointy snakes?" To "Ikoria, holy fuck slivers everywhere" and it would be compelling
The numbers in the names are part of an auto-generated tag by youtube to distinguish between people with the same name (or something like this). I did not add the numbers but every time I comment somewhere there is this string of numbers, as there probably is after I hit post on this comment.
I think its best to talk about Emo in terms of "waves" with each successive generation having its own style/culture associated with it and almost exclusively disregarding the others.
They've done it before with certain sets. Zendikar with allies? That's just zendikar rising, and we all loved that set, right? Strixhaven was also a beloved, right? nah if you ever watch seth play he literally waits every turn for the control/midrange player to tap out because they MIGHT have the counter or the removal for his play. (they never tap out letting them play a new land every turn play their cantrips and draw more cards until they have enough mana to drop their bombs/win cons while holding up mana for the answer they now definitely have drawing all those cards)
@@JonReid01 depends on the aggro deck. but typically he doesnt play a lot of aggro. he wants to play the new flashy combos or the big bombs that do really cool things. when he does play aggro obviously he will avoid over committing to the board in front of a sweeper but especially vs decks that have like wanderer he has left points of damage on the table afraid they'll flash in wanderer which has allowed opponents time to stabilize. but the more against the odds a deck is the more he'll say F it or depending what the league record is. if he's already 0-2 0-3 theres more f it we're trying to do a cool thing no risk no reward

Crim be like: "Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral. EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
said it once ill say it again i want a mecha godzilla omnath so we have a colorless omnath and do a monster universe tie in with the banger zilla movies weve been getting
I really hate seeing people only talk about power gaming when talking about color identity stuff cuz what the color pie does is unite and restrict themes
Going back to Tarkir could be cool but they kinda ruined everything cool about the plane by undoing khans and bringing back the dragons, now its just the generic dragon plane and the khans all suck (RIP the Zurgoat... bro is getting mogged by ragavan). We need a fate re-reforged set to fix this.
i don't think the most competitive person necessarily has to go to a lot of tournaments or compete a bunch. i think it's just naturally being averse to losing and going farther than the others to win more
Being averse to losing by default makes the person in the example non-competitive. Losing is part of competition so one needs to accept it to be competitive. Maybe you meant the mentality of playing to win vs playing not to lose but that was not clear in your comment.

Crim be like:
"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene.
EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE
NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
Crim would be so much happier if he was doing music lol its super obvious
We need more hot takes from Richard.

Theros: The Iroan Games
I want a return to zendikar farming simulator.
Seth's biggest flaw as a magic player is insanely obvious to anyone who has watched a fair number of videos. Scoops way too soon.
I really hate seeing people only talk about power gaming when talking about color identity stuff cuz what the color pie does is unite and restrict themes
Goldfish don't sweat they are in water
I wanna see return to tarkiar
I want Crims Spotify playlist now to reconnect to my teen punk self. Crim gimme!
Poor Maxime Maltais got his name butchered by everybody
i don't think the most competitive person necessarily has to go to a lot of tournaments or compete a bunch. i think it's just naturally being averse to losing and going farther than the others to win more
Being averse to losing by default makes the person in the example non-competitive. Losing is part of competition so one needs to accept it to be competitive. Maybe you meant the mentality of playing to win vs playing not to lose but that was not clear in your comment.
