Vevor SDS Rotary Hammer Drill Test Trying To Find Out Who Sent It

  • This is a mystery. 2 days after I was telling my wife that I needed to go to Home Depot to pick up a concrete drill bit this drill was delivered. I checked with Vevor and there is no record of it being sent. I have no idea who sent it and decided to make a quick video using it to drill my concrete block wall for installing new propane lines and tanks. Actually works good and I would like to thank whoever sent it. I think AI is listening to us through Alexa and computers are making decisions. I didn't buy it so I guess it should be listed as a paid promotion. I will put links to it from my Vevor account should anyone be interested in one but according to their records it was not from Vevor.

    Nice demonstration! Given the winter this year in most of the mid-Atlantic it doesn't look like your yard is frozen so some impacting on that test block was being absorbed by the soil. I've no experience with Vevor tools but the price point is super for an SDS drill kit for occasional use. I have an older SDS drill from Harbor Freight that I've used several times with good success and it's probably nearing the end of its life. Only thing I'd say is one shouldn't underestimate the potential torque on these things. Last time I used my cheap SDS drill (with a 4 inch hole saw to run a bath vent through a brick and block wall), the thing caught and about snapped my wrist. I know URHC knows his stuff so to all you other fans, just consider this a Public Service Announcement. : )

      This one has a safety clutch to prevent the operator from being hurt should the bit catch according to the sales specs. Vevor seems to be higher quality then other low cost brands. Thanks for watching

    Looks like a nice drill!

      It worked great. Fairly heavy but that probably is what absorbed most of the vibration. It drills a lot faster then my Bosch hammer drill that cost over twice as much 20 years ago. Thanks for watching.

    sometimes a $300-$400 "single use" tool is cheaper than renting and gives you some time if you have a setback and have to return the rental before you are done with it.

      This looks well built and works good but its very heavy so I wouldn't want to hold it up all day. I think this would definitely be cheaper than renting for a couple day job. Wish I could thank who sent it to me. Thanks for watching.

    I wish Vevor would send you tools to review. I've had some of their items and have had a good experience with them.

      I am sure once yiou get over 100k subscribers you will get dozens of different offers a day from companies you have never heard of. Thats when I started getting offers. Funny thing is Vevor didn't send this and it's probably an Amazon AI mess up. Thanks for watching

      I have Vevor tig, mig and stick welders and a host of other items. I have been really satisfied with everything I have bought from them over the last 3 years. And, the price point is just great. Looking to buy one of their plasma cutters.

    Just talk to your wife about winning the Powerball, hey, you never know. We also think that ALEXA is listening to us too, Thank you for sharing .

      It's weird because no one at Vevor has any record of it being shipped and it just showed up after I was talking about going toHome Depot. I think it has to be Alexa or maybe something in my new cell phone that was listening to our conversation. Checked my Amazon account to be sure it wasn't ordered through that and have no idea who sent it and paid for it. We also had that thing show up on the basement cameras this week after not picking anything up for months. Really weird. Thanks for watching.

    Another interesting video, I don't know how you bent that copper tubing without getting it to kink or break, happens when I try to do it without a tool. Nice work!

      Those pigtails are dead soft and can be bent in circles without kinking. I have the spring type benders for larger tubing. Thanks for watching.

    Just bought one. Instructions don't explain the purpose of the switch or lever in the back of the drill . Do you know?

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  10 месяцев назад

      Are you talking about the switch that switches it from rotary hammer to fixed hammer? Best to plug it in and see how it reacts with the switches in different positions. Thanks for watching.

    • @Mixwell1983
      @Mixwell1983 26 дней назад

      The switch is for drill only or hammer mode. In hammer mode you have 2 options via the lever in front to either drill or hammer only like when using a chisel. You get the hammering motion without spinning the bit.

    Wow.
    We just filled our LP and it was $2.30 a gal.
    Nice drill. Maybe someone accidentally sent it to you instead of me 😲😉😁
    Have a Jesus filled day everyone

      Our last fill up was $4.99 a gallon. That's why I switched the water heater to hybrid electric. Everything costs more in NY. They also banned gas heat, hot water and gas cooking stoves in new construction here last month. I think they are making it expensive so people switch to electric. Did you try the new saw yet? Thanks for watching.

      Maybe our propane is cheaper because I'm buying larger volumes then you. I think our tank is 500 gal.
      Haven't used the saw it's for a spring outside welding project.
      Can't wait 👍

      Not her. She knew I only needed a drill bit. I got the regulator off Amazon and pigtails from a company in Florida DK hardware. It's a rv one with a high btu rating dual stage that's temporary until I find a better Rego switch over one second hand. Thanks for watching.
