    Hello Tea Friends! This is a review of a 30-year aged white tea I was gifted by my tea guy, Yunqing, as a thank you for buying so much of his tea to feature on my site. Yunqing gets us the Music of Mengsong raw pu'er, out 8-year aged pu’er tea oranges, and several other teas too.
    Yunqing told me the market value of this tea in China could be 10,000 RMB (or nearly $1500 USD) per 500g, which is a lot for tea, and some day I might make a video about whether expensive teas are worth it, but today I thought it would be fun to enjoy the tea, and just go from there.
    Support the Channel by getting your tea things here! Every order is a big deal to our store and the more support we get, the more I can spend my time doing things like making these RUclips videos! This video features:
    Gongfu Tea Tray Set: jessesteahouse...
    Brewista Iridescent Unicorn Tea Kettle: jessesteahouse...
    Water Buffalo Tea Pet: jessesteahouse...
    Rabbit Tea Pet: jessesteahouse...
    Also, please comment and let me know if you like the format, and if you have any questions! Many thanks,
    Your Tea Guy,
    Jesse

    Loved the longer video, I personally would enjoy a drinkalong type video. Maybe with teas from the sampler or subscription box so the viewers can have a tangible connection to what you're drinking/trying to explain

    • @jessesteahouse
      @jessesteahouse  Год назад +32

      Good idea! All four of the sampler teas have "how-to" videos but they are not in this style. Maybe would be worth doing a drink-along! I intended to do that when I started the channel but since these videos take so much more time to make and get so much fewer views because my youtube is smaller than the short platforms I haven't out the energy in here. Maybe in 2023 I can do more :)

    Thanks for sharing. I am tea person. We always say: 1 year is tea, 3 yeas can be medicine, over 7 years is Bao ( very rich and expensive) so you are very lucky to have 30 years old tea! Looks like 寿眉,you are more professional than Chinese.Like your videos.

    Love this style of video, wish we could get more of it. As someone who typically explores whisky (and its content) but is looking to cut down on alcohol, this really fits the vibe I'm used to, of longform, in depth reviews of a particular product. Thanks mate.

    I loved this longer video, and as I've been getting into Chinese tea through your channel and website, I'm especially liking the white teas. I've tried and loved the Gongmei tea balls and the Shoumei brick, and I'm just wondering how the 30-year aged white tea differs in taste from the ones in your website. Thanks again for getting me into this!

    Seems to me that this long format fits better with the essence of gong fu cha.
    Nuance, detail, subtlety, savoring the tea vs just getting a visual and literal shot of caffeine.
    But then again, sometimes a quick sniff of the aroma is enough to get one interested in the full experience.
    Keep doing what you feel is right, and we’ll keep watching.

    I need to try some of the Chinese reds and some white teas, with Japanese greens you drink that first steep because it's the strongest, actually it's sometimes a bit too strong. But Japanese greens only really go a max of 3 steeps, but some are on the strongest end of the caffeine spectrum you can get in tea.

    Hey I see that you have a milk oolong and a high mountain one how do they differ? Is one darker or roastier than the other?

    • @jessesteahouse
      @jessesteahouse  Год назад +1

      Hey there! They are both on the less roasty side of things, I would say the high mountain tea is crisper and sweeter, and the milk oolong is different because it has a milkier, thicker mouth feel. But I would say if you're looking for a good oolong either one is good but you might not need both. I am hoping to launch a roasted tieguanyin on the site soon, def before summer :)
