A poor man arrives to an island that He doesn't know, but We do, as a viewers. In Richard's story We can appreciate the value and the durability of things, the weight of beliefs... It is an example of a man who is asking constantly about human condition, a fact motivated because He is in adverse circumstances. It is to say, He's tested. First He loses his wife tragically, arrives to the island after having suffered a lot and He discovers a microcosm ruled by two deities, and He's not sure if He has to trust any of them. He's alone, and the fact that He doesn't get old is very significant, because He has seen evolution, changes, people who come and go... but He remains anchoref in his own present. Truly interesting.
