Unique Pyro No no, when she says "pentagon", that means he's at 50 seconds, which means he has so survive for another 10 seconds in order to win. Those 10 seconds feel like 10 minutes, when you are actually playing the game. edit: well I guess it's 15 seconds.

Just imagine how the first guy/girl to complete Super hexagon must have felt after having won for the first time... This is like the best reward/easter egg you could get!
The ending of this game is more like: No matter what you do. No matter what risks you make. You are going to die anyway. I mean, it's a way to describe the ending, that's why the game and the music is playing backwards, to make the player see all the things that he had to come through, to end up dying in the end anyway :P
This just proves my thoughts that the inner hexagon is a black hole. In real life blackboard eventually collapse in on them selves thereby expelling all the matter they sucked up in a random order.
the trouble here is... so many people turn off their music to beat the game because it makes it easier or actually hack the sound files, I personally think that if you haven't beaten it with sound then you haven't beaten it at all.
I agree. The first time I beat it was on a phone, with no sound, in a public area where I couldn't hear this amazing reversed song or really appreciate the ending at all. I just beat it again today after buying on the computer, and it was an entirely different experience. Every time I got to a section of the song I hadn't gotten to yet I started panicking and messed it up, for example... I had to learn how to actually beat the level instead of spamming tries until I got an easy 60 seconds of patterns.
pyromidas The black and white mode's music is nightmare fuel to me, so I mute each and every instance of the game. Even if it's a video, and even if the Hexagonest stage (and/or it's Hyper version) isn't played at all.
Also, if you look closely at the part that's only black and red/orange/yellow, some of you may notice that it is a reference to the early prototype of the game, Hexagon.
Hundreds of hours for this ending... So worth it. I'm serious. The ending is a great way to show how many insane patterns you've completed. And the ending music is actually my favorite in the entire game.
You're in an ever decreasing orbit around a black hole, dodging everything that falls in, the closer you are the more in-falling matter you have to dodge. Your final battle is at the photon sphere and everything falling is chaos and after a minute of surviving you wind up at the event horizon, there is no light, no sound, no chaos everything distorts as your engines keep pushing upwards to not fall in the singularity, you're trapped forever until something hits you. You finaly start falling inside the blackhole and and everything changes, as you fall faster than lightspeed you pass everything you've encountered so far frozen in space. and as you reach the singularity everything starts to slow down until it halts to a stop.
Zahbär Schmuni I actually did beat it then I came to watch this video. Go to rapture686 on steam you can look at the achievements if you really want proof.
The cool thing about this game is that even if you lose your progress, you can't actually lose progress. I Came back to the super hexagon community after a 1 year break and I only lost 75% of my skill. I got that skill back and beat 4 levels in one day! When I beat hexagonest i'll try and at least make it past 30 seconds on hyper like I didn't 1 year ago.
How long you lasted in seconds compared to my reaction: 02 - Well... you beat me. 10 - If I was a developer, I would have assumed no one would ever beat this game. 20 - You have my respect. 30 - You have already earned my *utmost* respect. 45 - OK, now I have chills. 60 - Put this on your resume and apply for a surgeon's position, seriously. "This man needs a doctor! I know a surgeon with a flawless 140-operations-performed record; 100% success rate!" "No! Call zrgrvsh! He can -SEE THE FUTURE-."

what i think: you were trying to be nice to the hexagon, but failed. so you dodged its attack, for a whole of 59 days. you finally reach the end, you defeat the hexagon, its now spinning, reversing, what's it's done to you, you almost feel bad, but don't. The hexagon was saying sorry in reverse, but you didnt understand it, so you walked away as a triangle. then... ...
The first time I watched this video, I hadn't beaten, or even tried, super hexagon. I then read Terry's tweet about it. I insisted to myself that I must finish the game, and if I didn't I'd feel horribly ashamed for the rest of my life. I proceeded to beat the game in 10 days.
Lmao, that might also explain the name of the songs, didn't realize the symbolism of a song named "focus" and the hardest difficulty... Thanks for the insight XD
This game is almost a spiritual experience. To pass even the first stage, you need to truly focus... those who can't fail, but for those who succeed, it is no longer the objective of the game. It becomes WHY you play the game - to transcend boundaries of thought, to focus your entire mind on a single, simple objective... to win. Something you simply can't get anywhere else. Those who don't play the game won't understand, but this game really is something special.
