I completed Hexagonest today.... My 2 top tips that work for me are to Mute yourself, I find it tonnes easier without that music as a distraction, and secondly to tape a piece of paper over the clock on-screen. Every time the corner of my eye noticed I was on 45+ I'd start freaking out and lose my concentration so best not to have the clock there at all :')
you know, I don't look at the timer, and if I look at the timer, its because I died and I wanna know for what long I survived And also I like the music. I like playing with music
Well, um I suggest you practice Hyper Hexagonest a lot as it's in the end of every difficulty and only 60 seconds of playing required then comes the Final Stage so you can try more often. Once you enter the Final Stage, try to stay on the left or right side at most. It's more easy to avoid U or upside down U's that way. Also learn how to distinguish between the RRLLL and RRRRR pattern, those can be very confusing at first as both appear. But the best advice is keep trying! :)
+Nyan Alex when I first got the game, the first couple days I only played it super stoned, and I still managed to beat the first two stages, so at least 60 seconds, sometimes more, I've only had the game for 3 days, I played it today sober for the first time, my reaction time is quicker but I'm actually less focused, lol.
Dank X Farhan Practice is too broad of a term for this game. There are different rotation patterns with different movement speeds with different color combinations with different auditory background with different control sensitivity. Uh, yeah, I’m sure anybody can practice that no problem. There’s a reason why the game is hard. It takes a lot of practice! Anyway, this guy’s question is clearly rhetorical.
@@theaviator1152 well thing is, that there are always some stages(ways the wall things come) which I personally, find a lot harder. So I kept playing and playing and started getting the hang of it. Yes, handling the movement speeds are a pain in the butt, but if we keep playing we will eventually get the hang of it.
My trick is to play Hyper Hexagon or Hexagoner for a while and go to Hexagonest. It feels like the level is slowed down, giving you more time to react.
It seems so, and this is what I was thinking at first when I couldn't do 10sec on the first level. But it really doesn't take too long to get the rhythm down and the accuracy when moving the arrow. You soon realize that there are only a limited number of patterns (fraction turn, circle around in steps, circle around continuously, left-right-left-right, longer left-right-left-right, circle left-circle right). You start to recognize them early. After 3 days I'm close to beating hexagonest.
You know a game is challenging when obstacles in it are rotating so fast that your recording looks blurry I mean literally play at 0.25 and it’s clear as day, but at normal speed it just motion stretches! That’s how freaking fast these lines are moving that they can’t be captured properly by 60 FPS!!
This video is only at 30fps. It'll look much smoother natively on a 140fps display. I opened an old stepmania backup from 15 years ago that had been locked to 60fps and I realised that one of the songs was unplayable because the screen couldn't keep up with the arrows, even when switching from x multiples to c multiples. The textures of the arrows couldn't keep up and it was glitching out. Then I ported the songs over to modern stepmania and (besides needing to get used to the new arrow animations) they played perfectly at 140fps.
Being a veteran of the original online flash version of this game, I beat the first two difficulties pretty easily. I can't even get more than 15 seconds on this difficulty...
This is clearly TAS (tool-assisted-speedrun). Unless I see this person do it on stream, it is very indicative of TAS. The movements are not something a normal person would make unless they could use a program to jump back and correct their mistakes.
ebownd Just to clarify, I have no problem with anything TAS. TAS can provide some damn near inhuman runs of games that are extremely entertaining to watch. BUT. Using TAS and presenting it as a person's gameplay is at the least, misleading. If I'm wrong about this, many props to the player. But as someone who has played this game a LOT, it doesn't look like human playing. Even when I'm on hexagonest hyper mode, there are slight moments of hesitation, there are quick subtle corrections to your positioning. There's none of that here. Just my .02
***** see but that is more believable to me just because of Park's movements. It looks almost like when I play. There are slight corrections. It doesn't look like TAS. Also, I obviously just watched, and it was..humbling haha.
I dont think so because would a BOT REALLY spend time going all the way to one side (hit the side) then go back a bot would have gone the second the opportunity struck am I wrong?
What? He survived 317 seconds, as it said in game. That didn't change. What you are seeing is the slight time crunch of uploading to youtube. That is, the youtube video is playing faster than the game was. You see that 317 seconds in 305 seconds. That's only about a 4% crunch and is pretty much unnoticeable. This doesn't change his survival time at all. It's like taking a video and speeding it. It doesn't mean reality shortened. He survived 317 seconds.
Okay, my observations: The timer says 317 The RUclips timer says 305 That implies it was sped up slightly, which happens with some video recording software. Even if it WAS sped up, they STILL survived 305 seconds, which is no less impressive than 317. I envy you, vmvolcano.
Man you´re the best, no doubt about it :) How did you improve that well in only 60 hours? :O I´ve played more than 60 hours & I am nowhere near as good as you. The final stage is the biggest problem for me. I strugle & mostly die after the first obstacle because I can´t react to changes in speed that fast. My highest on hyper hexagonest is only 81 seconds :( I don´t know how to practise the final stage without a need to do level 6 because only getting though level 6 takes me around 20 mins :(
The end black & white part looks like a lot of fun... Unforunately I can't get past hardestestest because of the half hexagons that come in rapid succession. I can't figure out when to keep moving on by one side, or to go backwards halfway through the pattern, plus it's going mind-blowingly fast XD The pattern I'm talking about is 1:33 through 1:36
I got to Overtime starting from Hexagonest, but not starting from Hyper Hexagonest, so I have yet to see the ending. But that's just more incentive to keep going. :D
Do you have any advice for how to play well at 120sec+? I have no idea how you do it so well! When I reach that level, I can only survive for 5 to 10 seconds.
Too Much Anime To Have A Life :P HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I didn't realize God recorded with bandicam.
Good players doesn't need just good stuff 😊
You know you’re lucky when you can go ham
But when you have the ability to go ham *FOR A SOLID TWO MINUTES*
IT’S A *G I F T.*

Such amazing control. Pointer always ends up right in the center of the side after a move. Crazy.
Except it clearly doesn't, are you blind?
YOU CRAZY!
This is the tutorial level for asians.
I'm an Asian

Yo nine year
Me playing super hexagon: Scores 09 seconds. Wonders why my name is not in guinness world record._.
Let's face it, you're just here to listen without getting prison love.
Cuthbert Nibbles What?
After 14 hours...I finally made it 60 seconds in Hexagonest... Jesus Christ.
Imagine someone playing this when high and or drunk.
they'd lose in 3 seconds
Nyan Alex i used to do that casually!
Mr. Vulcanator i almost play when im high as fuck :D weird thing is that im better when im stoned..

They will lose within 1.54 seconds (1.54 seconds is always first wall)
This game made me realise I’m getting old
Can someone explain me how his brain process so fast ?
Muscle memory :)
Dank X Farhan But the level is randomized mate
@@theaviator1152 yea just practice those levels

0:25 What even THE HELL WAS THAT?!
this is the stuff that you look and imagine *i fucking want to be that guy when i grow up*
WOAHH??? THATS ACTUALLY SO IMPRESSIVE WHATAT

Hexagonest x2 speed: bam the new idea for the hardest level, your welcome
I love it when you enter into the mystical dimension
For asians:you conpleted level one! Now for hexagonester and hexagonestest
Well this is a first
An excellent gamer, records with Bandicam
Those two don’t usually go together, huh
My record is 668 seconds thatwas fun in my childhood game it was a afun
So do you, like, have the same time perception of us normal humans? ARE you human? XD
i was enjoying this song till 1:55 suprised me
HA! i know right me to here
yup
Nintendo Kid At 1:55 a new song begins (All Super hexagon songs backwards)
Its hexagonest but echoed super slow
You played for so long the ending song looped... TWICE
you are amazing.
You totally killed this game! :D
This legend has surpassed any acceptable level of ability
With all due respect, sir, that means he sped it up more.
This dude beat two levels in one attempt. MAD LAD!
My trick is to play Hyper Hexagon or Hexagoner for a while and go to Hexagonest. It feels like the level is slowed down, giving you more time to react.
The song name is focus so his brain focus at the triangle and not the obstacles
This makes me feel so friking average..
Loving the screenshot soind
Now just imagine being that triangle lol
Be like *WwWWOoOoOoOAaAAAaUUuUhHh*

TEACH ME UR SKILLS!!! I WANT TO COMPLETE HEXAGONEST LEVEL!!
i just started out yesterday night
My record on hexagonest is 102 seconds. So i beated the game too but i want to beat this guy so bad...
Erik Van der haag I don't think you ever will :/
i think we got here a world record...good job
I don’t think I’ve seen a computer record a computer playing a computer game before! ...With a computer!

this is not even human anymore
The devs didn't expect anyone to surpass 175 seconds so the last song that played (sounds like an cool techno) it looped. Lawl
sesure!!!!!
I am planning on trying to get at least a fraction of this good at this game and play it for like a talent show or something
Have you ever tried open hexagon?
It's an open source game based on Super Hexagon where you can make and share levels
Being a veteran of the original online flash version of this game, I beat the first two difficulties pretty easily. I can't even get more than 15 seconds on this difficulty...
Thanks very much for the tips. Maybe someday I'll be able to compete with your scores :p
That part where it turns black and white.... I think the music stays the same but gets paulstretched.
this is what i call "mastering" YESSIR!
worlds best player+super hexagon=so many seizures O_O
The game flips into the Hyper level at 60 seconds when the background goes grey.
I got 25 seconds max on this one, the difficulty spike from the previous level to this one is just HUGE.
How does this video imply at all that he doesn't go outside?
How the hell she do that his brain is processing so fast than us

I play on window mode so screen size is maybe slightly smaller than an iPad.
I use two hands to play. Left hand 'a', Right hand '→'.
Oh vmvolcano, us mortals must be so insignificant to you...
Playtime on Steam version is 60h now.

UNBELIEVEABLE AMAZING!
OH MY GOD!
And my record is a whopping.... 10 seconds.
how are you so good?!
Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on this run. The arrow simply does not control that precisely.
+tylerboy565 He relies on the map rotation. This is 100% legit. Get good, son.

It's the map rotation effect

There is no way this is even possible
Yes it is, i saw today my friend doing this far
Do you have any advice for how to play well at 120sec+? I have no idea how you do it so well!
When I reach that level, I can only survive for 5 to 10 seconds.
I saw u hit several times the wall with the triangle, how come the game not ended there? o.O
This is one mind boggling game...
I wish hexagon mode had hexagonest music too
is there is even an end to this game
third, there is hexagon, hexagoner and then this which is the hexgonest stage.
Are you some kind of super robot ?
My eyes are bleeding.
Is there hexagonest without the second part with the black background?
정말 잘하십니다!
So, can you dodge bullets yet? With reactions like that!
...Mind blown. I usually get ~7 seconds. I play it about 20 times, and I exceed my stress quota for the day.
우와 쩐다 님은 얼마나 연습했길래 이런 기록이 나오죠 ㄷㄷ
chuck norris goes through the patterns
holy crap! the highest ive gotten on that level was only 35 seconds!
U R freaking awesome!
My most recent record in Hexagonest is 57 seconds. Back then, I made my worst rage scream in my entire life.
And now I can't even reach 40 seconds :/
Keep going, I got 58 and got sooo frustrated! But today I beat it :D
I have got 59.20 I think every one at my house went deaf for a couple seconds xD
I got 58:59 on this level >:(
Too Much Anime To Have A Life :P HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
can you show us how you set up on your keyboard? one hand? two? arrows or a/d ? also how big is your screen? i do better on iphone than on pc
And i felt like a god getting 60 seconds...
The timer's going wayy too fast, and the gameplay looks about right for hexagonest.
I THREW UP
i have a problem in this level...
i stop at like 10 seconds because i cant handle that big spin at 10 sec
can someone give me advices?
FOCUS.
